He argues that it takes at least several years of observation to understand how plants behave.Expressing his obsession with horticulture, Carlos explains how it allowed him to save the small water lily, which turned out to be the last 5 plants on the planet. By breaking the status quo and challenging science, Carlos shares his belief that there always has to be a way to save a plant by a thorough check-up of the influencing factors.Carlos puts plants as the source of philosophy and art, which reflects the creation of Buddhism (and a major role of the lotus flower), or impressionism by Monet painting water lilies. He believes that Russia is shifting to be an imperialist force that seeks to interfere in the global affairs of other countries to erase Ukraine from the map to recreate the Soviet vision — advocating a traditional old-style Russian view of morality and family life where there is no space for the LGBTQ+ community.Finally, Peter touches upon his Netflix documentary ‘Hating Peter Tatchell' that provides a snapshot into his campaigns over the years, aiming to demonstrate that we are capable of making social change and emphasize that we don't have to accept the world as it is.

In 2014, Time Out opened its first marketplace in Lisbon, Portugal. The idea was a food hall with restaurants, bars, a cooking school and an event venue, a curated celebration of the best the city has to offer. Since its opening, Time Out has seen massive success with this market. Just last year, nearly 4 million visitors passed through its doors, and it is largely considered to be one of the best attractions in all of Portugal. Now, Time Out has expanded its marketplace strategy, with open locations in New York, Miami and Boston, and more on the way in Chicago, Montreal, London, Dubai and Prague. Although each location will have slight variations from one another in size and experience, Julio Bruno, Time Out CEO, says the at heart of each will be the Time Out brand: a curation of the best a city has to offer, that feels authentic and fosters a sense of community. In 2015, when Julio Bruno took over as the chief executive at Time Out, it was taking on heavy losses. An executive who had held senior positions at Diageo and TripAdvisor, Bruno saw an opportunity. Now, three years on, as Time Out celebrates its 50th anniversary, Bruno has not only begun to turn the publisher around and make it digitally relevant, but he’s taken it public, leaned into an ecommerce strategy and is building a chain of physical market places.
Julio Bruno is chief executive of Time Out Group. During his three years at the helm, he has overseen the brand’s transformation into a multi-platform media, entertainment, retail and e-commerce operation with a global audience of 217 million. He has also coordinated the expansion of the new Time Out Markets, which last year attracted 3.6 million visitors and is already helping to drive the company back to profitability with five more set to open over the next 12 months.
