Few names in Burgundy command as much admiration as Domaine Faiveley. Founded in 1825 and now led by seventh-generation Erwan Faiveley, the estate has become a benchmark of excellence for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. From its historic home in Nuits-Saint-Georges to its grands crus across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, Faiveley represents the very soul of Burgundy. In this episode, Erwan reflects on nearly two centuries of family stewardship, exploring how Domaine Faiveley continues to balance tradition with innovation in an ever-changing world. We discuss the artistry of vineyard management, the lessons of history, and the evolving challenges of climate and culture that shape Burgundy today. Listeners will gain insight into some of Burgundy's most iconic vineyards, from Corton to Bâtard-Montrachet, and the philosophy that underpins wines celebrated worldwide for their finesse, structure, and longevity. This conversation is more than an interview—it is an extraordinary opportunity to hear directly from one of Burgundy's most prestigious Domaine, a family whose legacy defines the timeless pursuit of great wine. I had the chance to sit down with Erwan Le Corre, one of the leading voices in natural movement. We dug into why movement matters far beyond fitness, how our bodies are designed for adaptability, and what we lose when we stop moving the way humans evolved to. Erwan also shares his passion for breath work, including his own record-breaking breath-hold training, and why breathing is just as fundamental as movement for resilience and health. We explore the difference between training for show and training for life, and how reconnecting with simple, natural practices can change the way you feel and perform every day. This was a rich, practical, and inspiring conversation for anyone interested in movement, breath, and living more fully in their body. Read more about Erwan's work here: https://movnat.com/ ----------------------------------------------- Erwan Le Corre is the founder of MovNat, a physical education system based on natural movement. This week's quiz: On 12 July, I asked you a question about our article “Seven Nobel laureates urge France to adopt a tax on the 'ultra-rich'”. The open letter, written by seven Economics Nobel laureates, urged the French government to implement a minimum tax on the wealthiest households in France. The laureates noted that while global billionaires hold assets equivalent to 14 percent of global GDP, French billionaires control wealth worth nearly 30 percent of France's GDP. Our article cited a proposed wealth tax, which was voted down by the French Senate (it did pass in the lower house, the Assembly). I asked you to send in the name of the bill and why it has that name. The answer is: The bill is called the Zucman bill, after Gabriel Zucman. As noted in our article, “The bill was based on proposals by French economist Gabriel Zucman. Initially passed by the National Assembly, the bill would have introduced a 'differential contribution' ensuring that individuals with more than €100 million in assets pay at least 2 percent of their annual wealth in taxes. “The aim was to curb the kinds of avoidance strategies employed by some ultra-wealthy individuals, who are often able to structure their assets in ways that greatly reduce their tax burdens.” In addition to the quiz question, there was the bonus question, suggested by Sultan Sarker, the president of the Shetu RFI Fan Club in Naogaon, Bangladesh. Sultan's question was: “What do you do when tragedy enters your life? How do you deal with the sorrow, the grief?” Do you have a bonus question idea? Send it to thesoundkitchen@rfi.fr The winners are: RFI Listeners Club member Admand Parajuli, the president of the Bandhu Listeners Club in Sunsari, Nepal. Admand is also the winner of this week's bonus quiz. Congratulations, Admand, on your double win. Also on the list of lucky winners this week are Ferhat Bezazel, the president of the RFI Butterflies Club Ain Kechera in W. Skikda, Algeria, and Nahid Hossain, a member of the Shetu RFI Listeners Club in Naogaon, Bangladesh. Last but not least, RFI Listeners Club members Rasel Sikder from Madaripur, Bangladesh, and Father Steven Wara, who lives and serves in the Cistercian Abbey at Bamenda, Cameroon. Congratulations, winners! Here's the music you heard on this week's programme: “Les Sauvages” from Jean Philippe Rameau's opera-ballet Les Indes Galantes; “Hail, Hail the Gang's All Here” by Theodora Morse and Arthur Sullivan, sung by the The Childen's Music Band; “Money Makes the World Go Around” from John Kander and Fred Ebb's musical Cabaret, sung by Liza Minnelli and Joel Grey; “The Flight of the Bumblebee” by Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov; “The Cakewalk” from Children's Corner by Claude Debussy, performed by the composer, and “Azúcar pa' ti” by Eddy Palmieri, performed by Eddy Palmieri and La Perfecta. This week's quiz: On 5 July, I asked you a question about an article written by RFI English journalist Amanda Morrow: “Ocean campaigners hail French move to snuff out cigarette butt pollution”. In her article, we learned that cigarette ends, or butts, are filled with microplastics and that when they break apart, they leach chemicals into soil and water. France has banned smoking on beaches, in public parks, and at bus stops, as well as near schools, libraries, swimming pools, and sports grounds. You were to re-read Amanda's article and send in the answer to this question: How many liters of water can a single cigarette butt contaminate? The answer is, to quote Amanda's article: “According to the French Ministry of Ecological Transition, a single cigarette butt can contaminate up to 500 liters of water.” In addition to the quiz question, there was the bonus question, suggested by long-time RFI Listeners Club member Nasyr Muhammad from Katsina State, Nigeria: “What is your favorite prize you've received from RFI, and why?” Do you have a bonus question idea? This week's quiz: On 28 June, I asked you a question about an article written earlier that week by RFI English journalist Alison Hird. She profiled Miguel Masaisai, a young athlete from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) who's riding his bike across several countries in Africa. Masaisai has a message: peace. You were to re-read Alison's article “From Goma to Cape Town, the young Congolese athlete pedalling for peace”, and send in the answers to these two questions: At the time of publication, which countries had Masaisai cycled across, and which countries are still ahead of him? The answers are: At the time of publication, Masaisai had ridden across the DRC, Zambia, Rwanda, and Tanzania; ahead of him were Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa. Since publication, Masaisai has pedaled through Botswana and is in South Africa. Bravo Masaisai! In addition to the quiz question, there was the bonus question, suggested by Liton Hossain Khondaker from Naogaon, Bangladesh: What is your favorite festival, religious or otherwise? Do you have a bonus question idea? Send it to thesoundkitchen@rfi.fr The winners are: RFI Listeners Club member Helmut Matt from Herbolzheim, Germany, who is also the winner of this week's bonus question.

This week's quiz: On 21 June, I asked you a question about our article “Togo suspends French broadcasters RFI, France 24 for three months”. We were informed on June 16th. Togo has accused us of biased and inaccurate reporting. The shutdown followed protests in the country's capital, Lomé, in early June. You were to send in the answers to these two questions: What is the name of Togo's president, and what is the reason for the protests? The answers are: The name of Togo's president is Faure Gnassingbé. The reason for the protests is due to, to quote the RFI English article: “… increasing pressure from critics over recent changes in the constitution that could effectively keep Gnassingbé in power indefinitely. Critics have called the changes a constitutional coup.” Faure Gnassingbé was elected in 2005. He's the son of Gnassingbé Eyadéma, who was president for 38 years. At the time of his death, Gnassingbé Eyadéma was the longest-serving leader in modern African history. In addition to the quiz question, there was the bonus question: “Have you ever made a mistake that ended up saving you?” It was suggested by Jayanta Chakrabarty from New Delhi, India. Do you have a bonus question idea? Send it to thesoundkitchen@rfi.fr The winners are: Sultan Mahmud Sarker, the president of the Shetu RFI Fan Club in Naogaon, Bangladesh. This week's quiz: On 14 June, I asked you a question about the 2025 One Ocean Summit, which was held in the French city of Nice. There was very good news on the opening day: French Polynesia's President Moetai Brotherson announced that his country is on track to create the world's largest marine protected area. You were to re-read our article “French Polynesia unveils world's largest marine protected zone”, and send in the answer to this question: What is the size of France's maritime domain? The answer is: 11 million square kilometers. As noted in our article: “Polynesia's announcement alone allows France, whose maritime domain covers 11 million square kilometers, to increase the proportion of its waters under protection to 78 percent, a broad term that includes areas where activity restrictions are minimal. Of this area, 14.8 percent is now considered highly protected, compared to 4.8 percent before Polynesia's announcement. Just eight percent of global oceans are designated for marine conservation, despite a globally agreed target to achieve 30 percent coverage by 2030.” In addition to the quiz question, there was the bonus question: “Which season of the year do you like the most, and why?” The question was suggested by Rafiq Khondaker. Yet just 8 percent is formally protected – and only a fraction of that is off-limits to damaging activities.” In addition to the quiz question, there was the bonus question: “What is the most hilarious thing or situation you've come across in your life, or what or whom made you laugh the most?”, which was suggested by Jocelyne D'Errico from New Zealand. In this episode, I sit down with Erwan Le Corre, founder of MovNat and creator of BreathHoldWork. You might know him as the Godfather of Natural Movement, but today we're diving even deeper into the frontier of human capability: breath, resilience, and the power of training discomfort. We talk about Erwan's journey from reclaiming primal movement to mastering the breath-hold—culminating in a national record under CMAS rules and a personal best of over eight minutes underwater. Erwan breaks down the science and spirit behind static apnea, BreathHoldWork, and the forgotten importance of “practical meditation,” which involves using breath-holds not just for oxygen efficiency, but as a vehicle for developing true inner mastery. If you're someone who's ready to push your edge—not just physically but mentally and spiritually—this conversation is going to light a fire under you.
Erwan Menard is the director of product management for Google Cloud's Cloud AI division, where he helps lead innovation at the intersection of AI agents, enterprise systems, and business outcomes. In part two of our series, Google Cloud and the AI Revolution, Erwan joins Bob Evans to discuss how governance, intentionality, and rapid scaling are critical to AI agent success, share insights on Google Cloud's Agentspace and Agent Builder tools, and explore how multi-agent collaboration is reshaping the future of enterprise technology.Purpose Driven AI InnovationThe Big Themes:Intentionality Drives Impact: Menard advises organizations not to jump into AI agent development for novelty's sake, but to begin with a clearly defined problem and desired business outcome. However, once value is proven, it's crucial to scale intentionally. He shares the example of a customer rolling out 40,000 licenses of Agentspace only after deeply considering what kind of first experience they wanted their employees to have.Organizational Culture Shapes AI Adoption: There's no universal model for who should “own” AI governance. It depends on the company's culture. Some companies may create centralized AI governance teams; others may embed responsibilities within existing business units or IT teams. The key is cultural acknowledgment: governance must be understood as a shared responsibility, not just an operational afterthought.Anchor in Business Value: With so many tools, models, and frameworks emerging, it's easy for companies to fall into what he calls “optionality evaluation.” That is, spending so much time chasing the latest innovations that they lose sight of why they started exploring AI in the first place. Instead, he urges leaders to ask: What are we trying to improve? Whether it's speeding up contract workflows, freeing up data scientists from routine tasks, or enhancing customer service, the goal should be clear. The Big Quote: "If you find yourself in a constant evaluation loop for the new shiny object, maybe it's worth taking a pause and saying, 'Why are we doing this again?'"
