Giovedì 5 marzo, l'atmosfera suggestiva della Libreria Feltrinelli, ha accolto la presentazione de "Il conciaossa", l'ultima fatica letteraria dell'autrice pubblicata da Arkadia Editore proprio in questo 2026. In un dialogo serrato e stimolante con la giornalista Lorella Costa, la scrittrice sviscera i temi portanti di un'opera che si inserisce in un progetto narrativo ambizioso: la rivisitazione dei sette vizi capitali. Questo sesto e penultimo capitolo della serie sceglie di affrontare la gola, ma lo fa distanziandosi dalla semplice interpretazione culinaria. Nel mondo di Musa, il desiderio di cibo trasfigura in una potente metafora di un vuoto esistenziale incolmabile e di una spasmodica ricerca di riconoscimento umano che caratterizza i nostri tempi moderni. Protagonista della vicenda è Michele Miluzzi, un quarantacinquenne scapolo ed ex cameriere che trascina i propri giorni in una borgata romana segnata dalla piaga dello spaccio. Michele vive di una pensione d'invalidità e coltiva una passione per i radiodrammi, mentre ama senza alcuna speranza di ricambio la bella Matilde. Per colmare il senso di irrilevanza che lo schiaccia, l'uomo si rifugia nella cucina, trasformando l'atto del mangiare in uno scudo contro l'indifferenza del mondo. Tuttavia, la svolta arriva quando decide di reinventarsi come "conciaossa". Una delle sue iniziative più bizzarre consiste nel preannunciare le retate delle forze dell'ordine ai vicini coinvolti nell'illegalità, utilizzando il profumo del fritto come segnale simbolico. Non lo fa per complicità criminale, ma per il puro bisogno di sentirsi, finalmente, osservato e considerato da qualcuno. Questo innesca però una spirale di eventi drammatici che lo trascinano in un meccanismo molto più grande delle sue intenzioni originali. Luci e ombre della realtà popolare contemporanea Attraverso una scrittura che appare nitida e profondamente partecipe, Paola Musa costruisce un romanzo corale che alterna momenti di crudo realismo a passaggi quasi poetici. Il libro restituisce uno spaccato intenso della società italiana attuale, puntando i riflettori sulle periferie urbane dove convivono emarginazione e un'ostinata resilienza. Tra i lotti grigi della borgata, l'autrice rintraccia una dignità narrativa per quelle vite anonime che solitamente si muovono ai margini della cronaca e della storia. Una curiosità interessante legata allo stile dell'opera riguarda proprio l'uso dei suoni: l'appassionato di radiodrammi Michele percepisce la realtà come un insieme di frequenze e rumori, rendendo la lettura un'esperienza quasi auditiva. Réuni depuis le 7 juillet à Paris, le comité du patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco a décidé en fin de semaine d'inscrire 26 nouveaux sites sur la liste du patrimoine mondial. Cinq sont africains. Avec pour la première fois, l'inscription d'un lieu bissau-guinéen : l'archipel des Bijagos. Ce site avait déposé sa première candidature en 2012. Pourquoi a-t-il été choisi maintenant ? Les explications de Lazare Eloundou, le directeur du patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco.  RFI : Cinq sites africains ont été inscrits sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco. Il y a le paysage culturel du Mont Mulanje au Malawi, les sites archéologiques Diy Gid Biy des monts Mandara au Cameroun, le parc national de Maputo à la frontière entre le Mozambique et l'Afrique du Sud et il y a également ces deux sites bissau-guinéens et sierra-léonais. Est-ce que vous pourriez, rapidement, nous les présenter ? Lazare Eloundou: Oui, tout à fait. Celui de la Sierra Leone est un complexe d'une île de Tiwai et d'une forêt pluviale de Gola. Et la Sierra Leone célèbre son tout premier site sur la liste du patrimoine mondial. Ensuite, il y a le site de la Guinée-Bissau qui est un important écosystème marin de l'archipel des Bijagos, un hotspot tellement important de la biodiversité marine qu'il a aussi rejoint la liste du patrimoine mondial. On doit notamment l'inscription de l'île de Tiwai en Sierra Leone au combat acharné d'un activiste. Est-ce que vous pourriez nous en dire un petit peu plus ? Tommy Garnett est plus qu'un activiste. Il est vraiment un défenseur du patrimoine. Ce combat a commencé il y a plusieurs années après la guerre où il s'est engagé à tout faire pour sauver l'île de Tiwai qui avait été détruite par la guerre. Un travail important s'est fait avec les communautés et plus tard aussi avec le soutien des autorités de Sierra Leone.  Pour l'archipel des Bijagos en Guinée-Bissau, ça aura été une longue attente. Le pays avait déposé sa première candidature en 2012... Le travail pour préparer une candidature pour la liste du patrimoine mondial est un travail très sérieux où il faut des données très concrètes. Il se trouve que la Guinée-Bissau a pris un peu de temps déjà parce qu'il lui fallait de l'expertise. Et c'était ça, effectivement, l'une des choses importantes qu'Audrey Azoulay, la directrice générale de l'Unesco, a voulu en faisant de l'Afrique sa priorité depuis 2018. C'est l'expertise : renforcer l'expertise des professionnels africains. C'est ce qui s'est fait en formant des experts de la Guinée-Bissau qui ont pu contribuer à la préparation de ce dossier. Et qui ont pu démontrer que ce lieu important, cet archipel deltaïque actif, le seul de la côte Atlantique africaine, est aussi un lieu important, une halte migratoire la plus importante de l'Afrique de l'Ouest et un lieu de nidification majeur des tortues marines. Ils ont pu le démontrer dans ce dossier. Que vont changer concrètement ces inscriptions pour ces différents sites ? Elles vont changer beaucoup de choses pour les communautés locales. Elles vont certainement contribuer à l'amélioration de leurs conditions de vie, ce qui est important. Mais elles vont aussi permettre à l'Unesco de continuer à former des experts, à fournir de l'assistance internationale, à encourager le tourisme local, mais aussi culturel autour de ces sites. Cela va également contribuer au développement socio-économique de tous ces pays et promouvoir la riche histoire culturelle de tous ces pays. À côté de ces nominations, trois sites africains ont été retirés du patrimoine en péril. C'est le cas notamment de l'ancienne ville de Ghadamès en Libye et des forêts humides de l'Atsinanana à Madagascar. Qu'est-ce qui vous a poussé à faire ces choix ? Il y a un grand travail qui s'est fait. C'est le cas des forêts de l'Atsinanana à Madagascar. Pendant près de quinze ans, l'Unesco et tous les experts ont travaillé pour accompagner les autorités malgaches. Il y a eu des investissements énormes pour lutter contre la déforestation qui avait été observée. Beaucoup d'autres activités qui ont été menées ont fait que l'on peut dire que sur les six composantes qui constituent ces forêts, quatre d'entre elles sont aujourd'hui suffisamment préservées. Les deux autres sont aussi en train de le faire. C'est très encourageant et le Comité du patrimoine mondial a pris tout cela en compte et a considéré que les efforts du gouvernement malgache méritaient que ces sites soient retirés de la liste en péril. Et en plus, nous avons un plan d'action pour les années à venir afin de renforcer ce travail qui a déjà commencé et rendre durable cette décision du patrimoine mondial. To try and a ride a bike, would be insane. Nonetheless that is exactly what adventurer Jude Kriwald decided to do.   At 20 years old Jude knew exactly what he wanted to do. He'd just returned from a 13-month trip cycling from England to India, and he wanted more. He wanted to be an adventurer and dedicate his life to pure joy of exploring the world. But slowly, inevitably, that dream faded as life, and career, took over. Ten years passed. His mental health deteriorated. He would lie awake at night wondering how he let is all slip away.  Until one day, he'd had enough. He flew to Senegal, got on his bike with the plan to spend three-months riding from there to Liberia. But things did not go to plan.    “Alone and in the wild, I am beautifully weird and joyously free. It's not that my rituals and quirks fit in better, they simply exist, unobserved.
