He served from 1998 to 2000 as commissioner of the New York City Department of Correction and from 2000 to 2001 as New York City Police Commissioner, during which he oversaw the police response to the September 11 attacks. Kerik conducted two extramarital affairs simultaneously, using a Battery Park City apartment that had been set aside for first responders at Ground Zero.After the 2003 invasion of Iraq, President George W. Bush appointed Kerik as the interior minister of the Iraqi Coalition Provisional Authority. In 2004, Bush nominated Kerik to lead the Department of Homeland Security. However, Kerik soon withdrew his candidacy, explaining that he had employed an undocumented immigrant as a nanny. His admission sparked state and federal investigations. In 2006, Kerik pleaded guilty in Bronx Supreme Court to two unrelated misdemeanor ethics violations and was ordered to pay $221,000 in fines.In 2009, Kerik pleaded guilty in the Southern District of New York to eight federal felony charges for tax fraud and making false statements. In February 2010, he was sentenced to four years in federal prison, of which he served three years. In 2020, he obtained a presidential pardon from President Donald Trump for his federal convictions for tax fraud, ethics violations, and criminal false statements. Here's a recipe to try. While this spray is all-natural, it can harm beneficial insects like bees, so be sure to spray at a time when bees aren't active (early morning and late evening). Keep an eye out for bird nests and avoid spraying near them. And remember, you wouldn't want to get this in your eyes or on your skin, so handle it with care!Garlic Fruit Tree SprayGarlic is known for its strong scent, which can deter many types of pests, from aphids to caterpillars and even some types of fungi. Ingredients:1 pound of garlic1 gallon of water (rainwater is best)Instructions:Peel and Mince: Start by peeling the garlic cloves. Then, mince or finely chop them to release the essential oils. The finer, the better.Simmer: Combine the minced garlic with water in a large pot. Bring the mixture to a simmer (not a full boil) and let it cook for about 20 minutes. This process infuses the water with garlic's active compounds.Cool and Strain: After simmering, take the pot off the heat and let it cool. Once it's cool, strain the mixture to remove the garlic pieces. A cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer works great for this. You want the liquid as clear as possible to prevent any sprayer clogs.Dilute (Optional): Depending on what you're dealing with, you might want to dilute the mixture. A common approach is to dilute the concentrated garlic water with more water. This step is adjustable based on your needs and the sensitivity of your plants.Bottle Up: Pour the strained, cooled liquid into a spray bottle or a larger sprayer for application. It's ready to use!Apply: Spray it on the leaves of your fruit trees, covering both the tops and undersides where pests like to hide. Special Prosecutor Jack Smith has now secured a trove of evidence from a close Trump ally, Bernie Kerik. Kerik had been trying for a long time to prevent his materials from getting into the hands of folks at the DOJ, but his lawyer recently decided to waive attorney-client privilege to allow the material to be released. This may seem routine, but once you learn who is representing Kerik things start to make much more sense.Also, Republican Senator Mitt Romney isn't letting go of his hope that Trump can be defeated in the Republican primary, and he published an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal this week laying out his brilliant plan to force Trump out. And, according to Romney's plan, the only way to force Trump out is to force almost every other candidate out of the race first. It is true that a crowded field is going to benefit Trump, but Romney's plan isn't exactly going to sit well with the other delusional candidates who believe they have a shot.And finally, Donald Trump's lawyer Alina Habba was recently "demoted" from being part of his defense team to serving as a spokesperson/legal counsel for his Super PAC. And one of her first assignments has been to downplay the significance of Bernie Kerik's cooperation with the feds. And, as expected, she did a terrible job of trying to explain what happened, and instead went on a deranged rant about Hunter Biden and so-called election interference. She's really bad at this, but Trump still seems to have faith in her.
