“What was said, when was it said, and who was observing the operation as it was ongoing?” These questions are top of mind this week for Todd Huntley, Director of Georgetown's National Security Law Program and a former active-duty Judge Advocate for the Navy. He joins Mary and Andrew to lend his unique expertise to what the Washington Post reported as a “kill them all” order from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. This order reportedly led to a second strike, killing two remaining survivors and, in Huntley's view, violating the laws of naval warfare and international law, which “give a protected status to shipwrecked personnel.” Mary and Andrew then take a moment to reflect on the tragic shooting of two National Guard members last week and an appellate court ruling affirming a lower court finding that Alina Habba's appointment as acting US Attorney in New Jersey was unlawful.Further reading: Todd Huntley's interview in The New Yorker: The Legal Consequences of Pete Hegseth's “Kill Them All” Order. It's been nearly two months since the fragile ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas went into effect. The ceasefire is intended to be the first phase of an overarching plan to bring peace to the region after two years of war. But the next steps in the plan seem murky at best. Over the weekend, the Washington Post reported that countries that had planned to deploy troops to Gaza to keep the peace as part of an International Stabilizing Force have backpedaled on their commitments. Meanwhile, Gazans are continuing to struggle – reeling from massive flooding and increasingly cold weather. For more on the current conditions in Gaza, we spoke with Mohammed Aklouk, a coordinator for the Norwegian Refugee Council who lives in Gaza with his family. And in headlines, Luigi Mangione's lawyers attempt to get key pieces of evidence thrown out in his New York state trial, a federal court rules that Alina Habba has been serving unlawfully as New Jersey's top federal prosecutor, and Indiana Republicans continue their push to assist President Donald Trump's calls for partisan gerrymandering. This holiday season, gift someone a Friends of the Pod subscription or treat yourself. Federal trial court judges from coast to coast have ruled that Trump-appointed interim US attorneys are in their positions unlawfully. But this is the first time that a federal appeals court has ruled on that issue - specifically ruling that Alina Habba is is unlawfully serving in the position of interim US Attorney for the district of New Jersey. Today's Headlines: Trump's personal lawyer Alina Habba just got bounced by the 3rd Circuit as New Jersey's top federal prosecutor, because—surprise!—she was never legally appointed in the first place. Meanwhile, Trump picked a fight with Tim Walz, accidentally revealed he got an MRI, then insisted he has no idea what body part it scanned… but definitely not his brain because he “aced” a cognitive test. His doctor then released a memo assuring us his MRI was “pretty normal,” which is exactly what you'd say if it wasn't. Trump is also defending Pete Hegseth, who's accused of war crimes after reportedly ordering a second strike on survivors of a boat attack. House Democrats are digging into FBI Director Kash Patel for allegedly using government jets as his personal Vegas shuttle to visit his girlfriend (and let her take joyrides too). In totally normal news, the administration is also taking an equity stake—yes, equity—in a new chip startup founded by Intel's former CEO, while Costco is suing to get refunds on tariffs that were apparently collected illegally. Additionally, three of Chuck Schumer's offices got MAGA-themed bomb threats. And finally, new research says giving kids smartphones before age 12 dramatically increases their risks of depression, obesity, and terrible sleep. A separate study found that even a one-week social media detox noticeably improves mental health. John discusses Trump's twisted version of the Afghan man who allegedly gunned down two National Guard members in Washington, DC, last week - Spc. Sarah Beckstrom, 20, and Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, 24, while they were on patrol. He also talks about lawmakers and reporters finally waking up to the nature of deadly strikes against fishing vessels in the Caribbean, with news this weekend that during at least one raid, a second strike was ordered to kill off survivors of the initial attack. Plus, Trump discussing military and diplomatic options for handling Venezuela, who we have now decided is our new enemy because they have so much oil. Then, he welcomes back Professor Corey Brettschneider to discuss the legality of Pete Hegseth's Order to "kill them all" and the appeals court that disqualified Trump's former lawyer Alina Habba as US attorney for New Jersey. Then lastly, comedian Rhonda Hansome is back once again to chat with John and listeners about Trump's latest mishigas like calling people childish names "stupid" and "retard".See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This Day in Legal History: John Brown AssassinatedOn December 2, 1859, abolitionist John Brown was executed by hanging in Charles Town, Virginia (now West Virginia), following his conviction for treason against the Commonwealth of Virginia, murder, and inciting a slave insurrection. Brown had led a raid on the federal armory at Harpers Ferry in October, attempting to seize weapons and incite a large-scale slave uprising. His plan failed, with most of his men either killed or captured, and Brown himself wounded and arrested by U.S. Marines under the command of Colonel Robert E. Lee. The legal proceedings against him were swift: Brown was indicted within days, tried in state court, and sentenced to death less than a month after the raid. His execution was a national event, drawing immense media coverage and polarized public reaction. In the North, many abolitionists hailed him as a martyr who sacrificed his life to end the moral atrocity of slavery. In the South, he was widely viewed as a terrorist whose actions confirmed fears of Northern aggression and interference. Brown's trial and punishment underscored the deepening legal and moral divide between free and slave states, particularly regarding states' rights, federalism, and the use of violence to oppose injustice. The charges of treason and insurrection also raised complex constitutional questions, since Brown was prosecuted under state, not federal, law — despite attacking a federal facility. His case set the stage for intensifying legal and political disputes over the limits of protest, the legitimacy of armed resistance, and the definition of loyalty to the state.Brown's final words, predicting that “the crimes of this guilty land will never be purged away but with blood,” would prove prescient less than two years later when the Civil War began.A federal appeals court has ruled that Alina Habba, a former personal attorney to Donald Trump, was unlawfully appointed as the interim U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey. The 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously upheld a lower court's finding that the Trump administration violated federal appointments law in installing Habba without Senate confirmation or proper legal authority. This decision disqualifies her from overseeing federal cases in the state, potentially disrupting numerous active prosecutions. The case was brought by defense attorneys who argued that the Justice Department used procedural workarounds to improperly extend Habba's tenure after New Jersey's district judges declined to reauthorize her. In response, DOJ fired her court-appointed successor and tried to reassign Habba under a different title, which the court rejected. The ruling is significant because it's the first appellate decision pushing back on Trump-era efforts to place loyalists in key legal roles without Senate oversight.Habba, who had no prior prosecutorial experience, previously represented Trump in high-profile civil litigation, including the defamation case involving E. Jean Carroll. During her controversial tenure, she was criticized for politicized statements and for filing charges against a Democratic congresswoman. Similar appointment disputes are playing out in other states, and this decision sets a strong precedent against bypassing constitutional and statutory nomination processes. The administration is expected to appeal to the Supreme Court.Court disqualifies Trump ally Habba as top New Jersey federal prosecutor | ReutersHSBC has announced a multi-year partnership with French start-up Mistral AI to integrate generative AI tools across its global operations. Already active in AI applications like fraud detection and compliance, the bank sees this deal as a way to accelerate innovation cycles and roll out new features more efficiently. The move comes amid a broader industry trend as banks seek to scale generative AI solutions, while addressing ongoing concerns around data privacy. HSBC emphasized that all deployments will comply with its responsible AI governance standards to ensure transparency and protection.HSBC taps French start-up Mistral to supercharge generative-AI rollout | ReutersPresident Donald Trump has commuted the prison sentence of David Gentile, the former CEO of GPB Capital Holdings, who was convicted under the Biden administration for his role in what prosecutors called a Ponzi scheme. Gentile had been serving a seven-year sentence after being found guilty of securities fraud in 2024. The DOJ argued that GPB misled investors by using new investor funds to pay returns, rather than profits from legitimate operations. However, in announcing the commutation, a White House official pushed back on the prosecution's claims, arguing that investors had been clearly informed about the firm's payment practices and that prosecutors failed to directly link fraudulent misrepresentations to Gentile during trial. The official also alleged misconduct, claiming the government elicited and failed to correct false testimony. The commutation comes amid heightened political scrutiny of financial fraud prosecutions and continues Trump's trend of intervening in controversial white-collar cases. The Department of Justice has not yet responded to the decision.Trump frees former GPB Capital CEO after Biden admin's Ponzi scheme sentence | ReutersMy column for Bloomberg this week is about … the penny. The official end of penny production may seem trivial, but it's creating real legal headaches for retailers and tax administrators alike. Without the one-cent coin, states are facing ambiguity about how to round sales tax totals for cash transactions—should it happen before or after tax, and who absorbs the rounding loss? These questions go largely unanswered, and in the absence of clear rules, businesses are improvising, which risks inconsistent compliance and enforcement challenges. There's also a legal tension where cash transactions require rounding but card payments do not—potentially running afoul of laws banning payment-method discrimination or even the Internet Tax Freedom Act.Streamlined Sales Tax rules add more complexity, limiting when and how rounding can occur and cautioning against systems that enrich the state at consumers' expense. I argue that instead of patchwork fixes, this moment should push states to modernize their sales tax systems with mandatory e-invoicing and real-time reporting. This would standardize how tax is calculated and rounded, reduce compliance uncertainty, and shrink the window for fraud. Paired with something like a receipt lottery—used successfully in countries like Brazil and China—states could turn customers into compliance allies by rewarding them for scanning and validating receipts.Ultimately, automating rounding decisions and reporting in point-of-sale systems would lift the burden off retailers and give governments cleaner data with lower enforcement costs. The penny may be dead, but this is a rare chance to bring sales tax enforcement into the 21st century. This is a public episode. We dive into the policy failures, the predictable consequences, and the growing demand for accountability. 9:30 Plus, we cover the Top 3 Things You Need to Know. One of the National Guardsmen shot in Washington D.C. last week died from her injuries. Alina Habba cannot serve as the top federal prosecutor in New Jersey. And the results? Let’s just say they weren’t what his critics were hoping for. We break down why the left keeps projecting their own Biden-era coverups onto Trump, how this MRI stunt backfired spectacularly, and what it says about the political instinct to assume the worst. 35:30 We talk a lot about what it really means to be pro-life—and this new report on America’s pregnancy centers is a reminder that it’s so much bigger than politics. These centers are helping moms, dads, and babies in ways the headlines never mention… supporting a record number of families last year. We break down the numbers, the compassion behind the work, and the court battles that could decide their future. 40:00 A new DHS report drops a bombshell: New York City is knowingly harboring thousands of criminal illegal aliens—over 7,000 of them. No arrests, no cooperation, just a sanctuary system shielding people who’ve committed crimes against Americans. At this point, we've got to say, "Whoa." 41:30 And we finish off with a tragedy that turned into a blessing. In breaking news, a unanimous Third Circuit Court of Appeals just affirmed the disqualification of Trump's former criminal defense lawyer and political hack, Alina Habba, to serve as the US Attorney for NJ. Michael Popok explains how this is similar but different than last week's disqualification of Trump's other novice prosecutor Lindsey Halligan, and how Justice Sam Alito will likely be deciding soon whether Habba remains in her office while the appeal makes its way to the US Supreme Court. In our news wrap Monday, the White House says that a recent MRI performed on President Trump was a preventative screening focused on both his heart and abdomen, a federal appeals court ruled that Alina Habba has been serving unlawfully as the U.S. attorney in New Jersey and a West Virginia National Guard member shot last week in Washington has shown positive signs in his recovery. David Waldman and Greg Dworkin help us start the month, week and day off right. You read it here first! (Unless you read it over at The Intercept a few hours earlier.) The United States… that's us... We blew up a boat with 11 people in it, then we circled around and we murdered all the survivors. We have murdered at least 83 in boats… Most of the world understands that is wrong, and we might have stopped murdering the swimmers, which we might all agree is somehow even more reprehensible. But we didn't just decide that was bad yesterday, we always knew that was a bad thing to do. Except of course for Pete Hegseth, who we, or at least some of us, hired to not do an evil job. Hic-seth thought that this was really funny at first but sobered up quickly to transfer the blame to his soldiers. Donald K. Trump doesn't know a "Hegseth", but if you write it at the bottom of the check, he'll pardon him. Juan Orlando Hernández made millions as president, raping Honduras in partnership with El Chapo while creating one of the largest drug-trafficking organizations in the world and was sentenced to 45 years. Oh well. Alina Habba, one of the biggest Trump's lawyers, is out as U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey. Sure, Kristi Noem disregarded court orders to send Venezuelans to El Salvador, but that wouldn't be against the law if judges didn't say so. No one needs more ballroom less than Trump and even his architect says so. Do reactionaries just feel left out? Trump has almost reached Jan 6 levels of unpopularity, and Republicans are feeling it. Another Gop seat could be flipped in Tennessee tomorrow, as they plan to redistrict Nashville away. One Republican Senator in Indiana drew the line on Trump insulting his daughter, while another wasn't swayed by swatting and doxxing. and yet another by a pipe bomb. Meanwhile, Troy Nehls of Texas feels now should be when he spends more time with his family.
Tonight we're diving into all the major stories of the day, and the chaos is piling up fast. First, did Pete Hegseth order the second Venezuelan boat strike? The White House can't seem to get its story straight, and the conflicting explanations are only raising more questions. If these reports are true, we're looking at actions that many experts say could constitute war crimes, and the pressure for accountability is growing. Then we turn to Alina Habba. A federal appeals court has ruled that she had been serving unlawfully as the U.S. attorney in New Jersey, a stunning blow to the Trump administration. Don is traveling tonight, so we're joined by guest host Charles Coleman, MSNBC legal analyst, former prosecutor, and civil rights attorney, to help us break it all down. Jon Herold kicks off the December 1 Daily Herold with post-Thanksgiving catch-up before diving straight into the drip-drip chaos surrounding Emerald Robinson's ongoing claims about election interference and the Three Musketeers story. He walks through the logical gaps, the lack of sourcing, the contradictions about 2016, and why he believes the narrative ultimately works to delegitimize Trump rather than expose wrongdoing. From there Jon broadens the lens to the wider information war, calling out media hit pieces like the New York Times' attempted takedown of David Sacks, the parallels to attacks against Badlands, and how irregular warfare operates by generating false conflicts and weaponized narratives. He checks in on the lack of new federal documents, DoD updates, Doge's missing Friday posts, and Trump's latest Truth Social messages about Syria, the Sedition 6, and Mark Twain. Later he examines peace-deal rumors around Ukraine, the legal battle over Alina Habba's appointment, and key geopolitical shifts including Venezuelan tensions and Biden-era foreign policy failures. Jon closes with reflections on Bitcoin as energy-based currency, the Flynn debate, and even college-football coaching chaos, all tied back to the larger fight over information, legitimacy, and narrative control.

Tonight on NJ Spotlight News, in a major blow to the Trump administration, a federal appeals court panel unanimously ruled today that Alina Habba is serving unlawfully as the U-S attorney for New Jersey. And, film crews are pouring into New Jersey boosting sales for local shops, but are the incentives to get them here worth the cost? We'll take a closer look.
A major federal appeals court delivered a setback to President Donald Trump's effort to install loyalists inside the Justice Department, disqualifying Alina Habba from serving as New Jersey's top federal prosecutor. Judges cited violations of federal vacancy laws, improper firings and title reshuffling. The decision marks the second Trump-installed prosecutor blocked in one week.Subscribe to our newsletter to stay informed with the latest news from a leading Black-owned & controlled media company: https://aurn.com/newsletter Learn more about your ad choices. Donald Trump gave us yet another very clear sign that he is suffering from what appears to be an advanced form of dementia on Thanksgiving by posting the most insane message to Truth Social that he's ever posted. The rant made no sense, had no basis in reality, and was filled with all sorts of slurs and attacks on migrants and Democrats. The man has completely lost his mind, and anyone who says otherwise is lying to themselves. The mother of Karoline Leavitt's nephew has been arrested by ICE. Leavitt's brother said that the 11-year old son that he has with Bruna Ferreria lives with him and his wife full time, but that she still had a relationship with the child up until her arrest and subsequent detainment several weeks ago. Karoline Leavitt has been a vocal supporter of her boss's immigration raids, and never once did she mention that her own nephew could be at risk of losing his mother. Donald Trump had another major meltdown this week after The New York Times reported on his failing health, specifically calling out the fact that the man can't seem to stay awake during events. Trump got on Truth Social and went completely berserk, attacking the Times while also including a litany of lies about how great everything is in this country because of his actions. The man is not only chronically fatigued, but also clearly suffering from delusions of grandeur. An appeals court ruled this week that both Donald Trump and Alina Habba had to pay the $1 million in penalties that were imposed upon them by a lower court for filing a knowingly frivolous lawsuit following Trump's 2020 election loss. The lawsuit that was originally filed was against Hillary Clinton and James Comey (among others) for allegedly concocting the Russiagate scandal, and the courts summarily dismissed the case as having no merit and for being completely frivolous. Habba and Trump were subsequently fined, and the appeals court says that they now have to pay up.The Republican Party, due to Donald Trump, has just received the worst polling news that they could receive with less than a year to go before a critical midterm election cycle. The new poll shows that Latino voters are overwhelmingly turning against the Party and Trump, just one year after they voted for the GOP in record numbers (48%.) This turn signals severe trouble for the Republican, and is so bad that some experts are now saying that the chances of Democrats flipping the Senate have gone way up. Donald Trump loves to tell us that the economy is doing better than ever, and that any parts that aren't doing great are totally Joe Biden's fault. But a new poll shows that a huge majority of voters aren't buying those lies at all, and they are squarely blaming Trump for the economic pain that they are suffering from. To make matters worse, only 20% of Trump's own Republican Party believe that the economy is doing well, proving that even his Party isn't buying the BS that he's selling. For months now, Pam Bondi's DOJ has been plagued with mass resignations of longtime employees and lawyers, and those former DOJ workers are now speaking out about the damage that Bondi and Donald Trump have done to the agency. Some say that the wreckage is so bad that it may actually be "irreversible". The recent ruling from a federal judge about Lindsey Halligan's "unlawful" appointment is only going to lead to more resignations as employeeText and and let us know your thoughts on today's stories!Subscribe to our YouTube channel to stay up to date on all of Farron's content: https://www.youtube.com/FarronBalancedFollow Farron on social media! Meet my friends, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton! If you love Verdict, the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show might also be in your audio wheelhouse. Politics, news analysis, and some pop culture and comedy thrown in too. Here’s a sample episode recapping four takeaways. Give the guys a listen and then follow and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. Open for Business! President Donald Trump officially signed legislation reopening the federal government after a 43-day shutdown. The segment opens with audio from Trump at the Resolute Desk, where he criticizes Democrats for what he calls an attempted “extortion” of American taxpayers to fund benefits for illegal immigrants. Clay and Buck analyze the political fallout, questioning whether Democrats will repeat shutdown tactics in 2026 as part of their midterm election strategy. The conversation transitions into a broader discussion on Senate filibuster reform, with Clay advocating for procedural changes to prevent future shutdowns driven by minority party obstruction. Buck adds historical context, referencing past filibuster modifications and the potential consequences of further rule changes. Uncle Bill: All for Nothing A wide-ranging interview with bestselling author and media veteran Bill O’Reilly. Clay and Buck do a deep dive into the political fallout from the recent government shutdown, which O’Reilly attributes to far-left consultants steering the Democratic Party into a failed strategy aimed at making pandemic-era Obamacare spending permanent. He argues that the shutdown hurt millions of Americans and yielded no real gains for Democrats, who now risk being branded as the “mean party” heading into the 2026 midterms. The hosts and O’Reilly also discuss the resurfacing of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, which they believe was used as a distraction from Democratic missteps. The conversation shifts to the 2028 presidential race, where Clay and Buck predict Gavin Newsom and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as the likely Democratic ticket. O’Reilly disagrees, citing Newsom’s poor record in California, including mass outmigration and corruption scandals, and suggests Maryland Governor Wes Moore as a more viable alternative. The trio also debate the dangers of artificial intelligence in politics and media, highlighting the rise of deepfake videos and AI-generated misinformation. O’Reilly references a false image involving President Donald Trump that was cited by Rep. Melanie Stansberry, warning that AI will make it increasingly difficult to distinguish truth from fiction. The hosts call for urgent reform of defamation and libel laws to protect public figures and citizens from malicious AI content. What H-1B Visas Are Supposed To Be The H-1B visa program triggers a contentious exchange between Laura Ingraham and President Trump. Trump defends the need for foreign talent in specialized industries, while Ingraham argues that American workers should be prioritized. Buck provides data indicating that over 750,000 H-1B visa holders are currently working in the U.S., with India accounting for 75% of recent recipients. Clay and Buck debate whether the program is being abused by corporations to undercut American wages and bypass domestic hiring. Buck clarifies that Trump’s comments about lacking domestic talent were aimed at highly specialized roles, such as semiconductor manufacturing, where foreign expertise is temporarily needed. Multiple callers share firsthand experiences with H-1B hires, sparking a robust debate. A computer programmer from California claims foreign workers were paid less despite equal performance. A North Carolina business owner defends the program, citing higher productivity among foreign hires. An engineering manager warns of wage suppression and offshoring trends, while another caller shares how his son’s defense contractor job was outsourced to foreign engineers despite national security concerns. Female Mamdani? Clay and Buck dive into some breaking news, cultural commentary, and audience-driven debate, beginning with reports of a violent incident involving Alina Habba, a U.S. attorney in New Jersey, whose office was attacked by a bat-wielding suspect. Clay and Buck highlight the growing concern over left-wing violence and express relief that Habba is unharmed. They also cover Senator John Fetterman’s hospitalization following a fall caused by a ventricular fibrillation episode, noting his humorous response and drawing parallels to historical political wit. The hour transitions into a critique of Michelle Obama’s recent comments on race and beauty, with Clay and Buck arguing that identity politics are eroding public discourse. They dissect her career trajectory, including her high-paying diversity role at the University of Chicago Medical Center, and question the merit of such positions. This leads into a broader discussion about the Democratic Party’s push for government-run grocery stores, citing examples from Seattle and New York City. Clay and Buck mock the idea as reminiscent of failed socialist models like Cuba, and reference studies—including one from The New York Times—showing that increased access to healthy food does not necessarily change consumer behavior in low-income communities. Clay and Buck argue that food deserts are often misrepresented and that consumer choice, not corporate abandonment, drives product availability. They emphasize the inefficiency of government-run enterprises, citing failed experiments in cities like Kansas City, and warn against policies that ignore market realities. The conversation includes a call from a listener in Rochester, New York, who explains that theft and crime—not lack of demand—are driving grocery stores out of urban areas. The hosts agree, noting that store closures also eliminate local jobs and further destabilize communities. As Americans increasingly struggle to afford basic necessities like food, Donald Trump continues to insist that the problem isn't real. In fact, he went beyond just calling it not real and actually concocted an elaborate conspiracy as to why people "think" that prices are high. The man has lost any and all touch with reality, and his denials of our problems are going to make things so much worse for all of us. Pam Bondi's Department of Justice was forced to admit to a federal judge this week that they made a major mistake - but they swear that they won't do it again. The mistake - which they have made in multiple different prosecutions - is that they blabbed about the case on social media and demonized the defendant, thereby tainting the entire potential jury pool. This particular case involves a prosecution that began under Alina Habba in New Jersey after she indicted a sitting lawmaker on bogus charges. During his disastrous appearance on Laura Ingraham's Fox News program this week, Donald Trump claimed that "no one knows what a magnet is." He didn't say that no one knows how they work - he literally said no one knows what they ARE. This brings us to the latest edition of "If Biden had done this," because the media would have been calling for Joe's immediate resignation if he ever said anything even remotely as insane as this. But Trump, as usual, gets a free pass from the media and therefore the public to continue to show off his dementia. In spite of the staggering number of problems that the President of the United States should be dealing with, Donald Trump sent his lawyers to the Supreme Court this week to file a motion asking them to overturn the verdict against him from the first defamation lawsuit from E. Jean Carroll. That particular verdict has already been upheld by two appellate courts, but that isn't stopping Trump from asking his good friends on the Supreme Court to step in and save him from the mess he created for himself. A bombshell new lawsuit is filed by Arizona to force MAGA Mike to swear in Rep. Grijalva and get the release of the Epstein Trump Coverup Files to a House vote. Trump tries to steal another $230 million from American Taxpayers seeking to arrange a phony settlement of a phony lawsuit of his with his corrupt DOJ. Trump tries to steal $400 million from a not that wealthy college in Miami to pay for his Presidential Library to park his stolen $400 million Qatari plane. Trump tears down the White House and will again unless he is stopped, and then freaks out about it and tries to stop people from taking photos and videos of it. It's been a rough 48 hours for incompetent Trump lawyers, as former FBI Director Comey files 2 motions to knock out Lindsey Halligan and his indictment for good, while Alina Habba has a rough day at the Third Circuit Court of Appeals to keep her US Attorney position. Lindsey Halligan accidentally leaks private messages with a reporter about the Leticia James prosecution. The 9th Circuit may have helped Trump deploy federal national guard troops in Oregon now, but will 11 judges of the 9th overturn the decision, and what will the Supreme Court do? In breaking news, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, to Alina Habba's face, seems poised to bounce her as US Attorney for NJ and finding she was illegally appointed by Trump, impacting at least 26 other Trump picks while she's at it. Michael Popok brought the receipts with today's Oral Argument hearing clips, that went so bad for Habba that posted a social media post that actually lied to the American People and implied that SHE argued the case today when she didn't, and in a moment that undermines her whole case, FORGOT that Trump pulled her nomination for US Attorney a couple of months ago!
