DaBaby is using his art to address his so-called “cancelation.”During a recent stop at the Power 106 studio, the Grammy-nominated rapper delivered an impassioned, braggadocious freestyle for the L.A. Leakers. DaBaby touched on his jet set lifestyle, his family, and the backlash he received following his controversial comments at Rolling Loud Miami.DaBaby came under fire last summer over sexist and homophobic remarks made on the the Rolling Loud stage.“[If] you didn't show up today with HIV/AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that'll make you die in two to three weeks, then put a cellphone light in the air,” he told the crowd. “Ladies, if your pussy smell like water, put a cellphone light in the air. Fellas, if you ain't sucking dick in the parking lot, put a cellphone light in the air.”DaBaby, who lost performance gigs and endorsement deals over the incident, went on to apologize for his “hurtful and triggering comments,” as well as his “misinformed” remarks about HIV.“Social media moves so fast that people want to demolish you before you even have the opportunity to grow, educate and learn from your mistakes,” he wrote on Instagram. “As a man who has had to make his own way from very difficult circumstances, having people I know publicly working against me — knowing that what I needed was education on these topics and guidance — has been challenging.”The L.A. Leakers freestyle went down just hours before DaBaby was filmed fighting at a bowling alley. Make sure you pull up and check out the hottest new spot in LA! fLexx pulled up to Chop Life this past weekend, Chef Ohi's mentioned the event his brother created on episode 134, fLexx said it lived up to all the hype great music, good people, and fantastic food. Shout out to the dancers especially NK because she ate and left no crumbs! Ashley got her hippie on at Groove Fest in Topanga Canyon. Original SSCO performed a dope set of unreleased dance music and Ash fell in love with an indie band TruckBox. Come Thru got so much love over at the House of Orange Fashionably Late event at peppermint club especially when the crew at VerySpecial co-hosted! Ash loved that it was a formal event; everyone showed up and showed out! Keep music in the school Ash + fLex talked about their lack of musical talent! Aye Caramba! Tyga apologized to the Mexican community for his “Ay Caramba” music video in an interview with American Cholo podcast host Gil Tejada on the LA Leakers radio show. The apology was taken down and has since sparked a protest of the radio station spearheaded by a friend of the pod DeJon from A Day in LA Magazine after a video surfaced of American Cholo calling Black people slurs. Ashley's takeaway The message, the delivery, and the messenger are very important! The song Energy on Beyonce's new album Renaissance uses an interpolation aka a sample of Kelis's Milkshake. This triggered Kelis to release a very heated iOS press release which caused Bey to just removed the sample from the album and keep it pushing. Megan Thee Stallion has been teasing her new album for a long time now, with songs like “Plan B” and “Pressurelicious” helping build up anticipation to unimaginable heights. Today, she raised it even higher by sharing a freestyle she did on Power 106 Los Angeles on Twitter. “GRIND MODE IT'S ALBUM TIME HOTTIES GO CHECK OUT MY LA LEAKERS FREESTYLE,” she wrote while sharing the video, which quickly went viral. At a little over a minute and a half, the song is full of great quips that have fans flipping out in the replies. It's performed to the instrumental from Warren G's “Regulate” feat. Nate Dogg, which samples Michael McDonald's “I Keep Forgettin'.” Megan's rap touches on a lot of topics, including her ongoing feud with her record label 1501 Certified Entertainment: “How you want to be me, at the same time want to shake me / I be makin' money on the motherf*kin' daily / Got my label mad but them n****s gotta pay me.” video:Megan Thee Stallion Makes Liftoff Return With Freestyle Over Warren G & Nate Dogg's "Regulate" Beat - YouTube source: Megan Thee Stallion Shares A Flawless Freestyle: 'Grind Mode It's Album Time' (uproxx.com) --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/masseffect/support

Three years ago Compton native The Game set the internet on fire when he linked with L.A. Leakers Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk for an unforgettable moment when he delivered a 10-minute freestyle to instrumentals from Lil Nas X, the late 2Pac, YG, Young Thug, Mobb Deep, and Royce Da 5'9” (WHEW!). With the LA rapper back outside and readying his ‘Drillmatic' album release this summer, it was only right Game came through to follow up his viral, rare-form freestyle with yet another offering an example of why y'all's top rapper lists need some adjusting. Spitting over an exclusive Hit-Boy beat, The Game didn't play fair flexing his rap prowess saying, “Ain't no competition, so Kendrick went to Africa / Ain't no competition Cole went and got his baskets up / But I'm here masking up, with the masking tape, feins knocking on the door, we closed, don't ask for Ye / You see the Aftermath chains then don't ask for Dre / I'm a legend now, f*** when I pass away." source: The Game Spits Fire Bars In 'Drillmatic' Stamped Freestyle Over Hit-Boy Instrumental - Freestyle 147 - YouTube --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/masseffect/support
