Mild mannered Steven Grant works at a history museum with big aspirations to one day become a tour guide, and lives a normal mundane life. That is, until he discovers that he shares a body with Marc Spector, a violent hitman who acts as a physical conduit for the Egyptian god Khonshu. Fighting for control of their body, Marc and Steven must also contend with Arthur Harrow, a former avatar for Khonshu that seeks to unleash a force beyond anything they can imagine. Now, they must work together, stop Harrow, and become the tool of vengeance, Moon Knight. In today's episode, I give my review for the new MCU show, Moon Knight! Is this one of the best Disney+ shows set in the MCU? Listen and find out! Other titles discussed: Under the Banner of Heaven, Lego Builder's Journey, Mile Davis: Birth of the Cool Follow the show on social media for future updates, and let me know what you think about the show or what titles you'd want to be reviewed in future episodes. Rainer ja Rein arutavad täna, miks Steam ikka veel konkurentide ees nõnda suurt edumaad hoiab, millal võiksime näha 40XX videokaartide seeriat, natuke veel GTA kogumiku uudiseid ja loodame suuremat sorti Resident Evil 4 uusversiooni ilmumisele. Rainer on taaskord teinud ühe mängu läbi - Lego Builder's Journey ning sai uue konsooli - Zelda Game & Watchi. Rein aga on edasi mänginud Kingdom New Landsi, aga hoopis Medieval Dynasty on hoopis midagi mis tundub talle uuesti sära silmadesse toovat. Soovituseks on Dead By Daylight, mis Epicus tasuta. An intense weekly playtesting schedule is at the heart of Light Brick Studio's follow-up to the award-winning puzzler LEGO® Builder's Journey.
There's a new Evangelion movie out, and Hamish has been collecting Japanese gangster blu-rays. Somehow in all the Takehsi Kitano talk we manage to narrowly avoid another hour-long segment dedicated to Fast and Furious, but only just. Twelve Minutes is so stupid that trying to explain it gives Hamish hiccups (spoiler warning from 1:15:30 to 1:42:30 approx). Lotta Yakuza: Like a Dragon talk. Nico has played Lego: Builder's Journey, and has some thoughts on that Quake remaster. Oh, also Hamish got his soundboard working again. Sorry in advance. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/writingongamescast/support

Bonjour, Une fois n'est pas coutume je n'ai pas (vraiment) de jeu de l'été, mais comme j'ai des co-animateurs formidables, je sais que je peux compter sur eux, et je n'ai pas été déçu. I talk about sadness, and Lego Builder's Journey. So there's that.
The soundboard was messing up Hamish's audio, so Nico has to pick up the chaotic slack—don't worry, it's still a mess. After an hour talking about the Fast and Furious films, awful Marvel TV shows and IGN reviews of old Simpsons games (let's just say the wellbeing of developers is a *remarkably* recent consideration in the public eye), we actually talk about some stuff we've been playing! Hamish got an Xbox and Nico has been playing a bunch of Game Pass games—Forza Horizon 4, Descenders and, uh... Dungeons and Dragons Dark Alliance. Lego Builder's Journey is maybe the closest a game has come to legitimate photorealism, while Cruelty Squad looks like a complete nightmare (but might actually be game of the year). Oh also Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart is a great tech demo and a fantastic game... for kids. Shame should hang like a... actually nah, I'm not going to do the IGN thing. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/writingongamescast/support

This week Trees is having a blast on vacation while Fred enjoys a relaxed 4th of July weekend. Listener mail leads the discussion to the PS1 days before moving onto games. Trees has been playing more Car Mechanic Simulator and Mario Golf: Super Rush, plus early exploration into Lego Builder's Journey. Fred played through Doom (1993), a good chunk of Far Cry Primal, and dipped his toe into the run-based PS5 exclusive Returnal.

Game Builder Garage Review This week on the NXpress Nintendo Podcast, Cameron Daxon, Marc Kaliroff, and Campbell Gill recover from the Post-E3 hype for an episode jam-packed with reviews of new titles from Nintendo, indies, and even LEGO. Marc kicks things off by reviewing the recently-released LEGO Builder's Journey, a stunningly beautiful puzzle game that aims to recapture the childhood magic of putting a set together. What starts as a nostalgic reflection on the beauty of LEGO turns into a debate on the age-old question: what is the relationship between a game's price and its real value? With LEGO Builder's Journey taking only an hour or less to complete with a $20 price tag, how much is too much to charge for a short game? The hosts might just find an answer. Continuing with the building theme, Campbell gives the hosts a rundown on everything there is to know about Nintendo's versatile yet accessible game development primer, Game Builder Garage. Perhaps this title lacks the instant ease of use of something like Mario Maker, but as an introductory tool to ease players into the world of programming, Game Builder Garage displays remarkable potential for budding developers. Lastly, Cameron shines an Indie Spotlight on Overboard!, the reverse Agatha Christie simulator where players take the role of a 1930s killer and need to find ways to get away with murder.
