It has been way too long since Dylan McKerchie of Dylan Talks Tone has been on the show, and quite a bit has changed since our last conversation. Dylan has a home base, his daughter is working full time winding pickups with him, the business is cranking, and somehow he is producing an absolutely unreasonable amount of guitar content every week. We get into what happens when the thing you love also becomes your job, finding some kind of work/life balance when your shop is approximately 15 feet from your couch, and why both of us have found ourselves reaching for acoustic guitars when we want guitar playing to feel like a hobby again. We also dig into something Dylan has built remarkably well over the years: community. Why the people surrounding Dylan Talks Tone matter more than view counts, how those relationships translate into a real business, and why making guitar content is ultimately about helping somebody squeeze a little more joy out of the limited time they get with their instrument. Of course, things eventually go sideways. Dylan recently cut a Harley Benton in half in the name of science, and certain corners of the guitar internet reacted with the calm, measured restraint you would expect from the internet. We talk cheap guitars, what makes an instrument actually recommendable, gear snobbery, angry comment sections, beginner gear, Boss Katanas, expensive guitars, unreliable European cars, and why “I like this” and “you should buy this” are two completely different statements. And somehow we wrap the whole thing up with Afroman, a cowboy bar, and Dylan's very expensive guitar getting extremely sweaty. Approximately 25 million people rely on a Medicare subsidy program initiated during the Biden Administration. However, the Trump Administration has decided to end it, which will result in increased premiums in 2027. An anti-affirmative action group has filed a lawsuit against the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, claiming that college scholarships for Black students from underfunded schools in majority-Black districts are discriminatory based on race. We will talk with the attorney representing the CBCF. Congressman David Scott's daughter, Marcye Scott, was forced into a runoff for his seat in Georgia's 13th Congressional District. We are less than 100 days away from the midterm elections, and MAGA continues its attacks on voting rights. We will discuss efforts to ensure a safe and fair election with the Senior National Coordinator at the Election Protection Coalition. In case you missed it, the Megadeth show at the Southside Oktoberfest grounds tomorrow night is moving down the street a bit & is now happening inside the La Crosse Center. Find all the info here. Obviously, the threat of rain with some possible lightning and heavy winds can seriously affect any outdoor event, so moving the show to the Center makes a ton of sense. Also in the news this morning, a nationwide recall on eyedrops, accusations by multiple women against Jared Leto, the Mayor of St. Paul is being investigated, Dr. Fauci pleads the fifth, Afroman is suing, and a ban on Roomba vacuums. In sports, the Brewers got shellacked by the Giants last night, an update on yesterday's training camp injuries, the latest on Mia Bieniemy, and Ahman Green announces that he's got Parkinson's. Afroman.....that's all I gotta say, tune in to this week's episode for more hilarious stories on this week's episode of Spill The Tea.
We've got two deep dives for you today, each with a lot of laughs (and almost no Donald Trump)! First, we break down the lawsuit brought by seven police officers against rapper Afroman for hurting their feelings, which ended in a total victory for the defense. It's still legal to make fun of cops in America! We dissect the claims, discuss what it means to sue for false light invasion of privacy and unreasonable publicity. And then we break down the audio of closing arguments and how each side went about persuading an all-white jury in deep red rural Ohio. Then, we discuss the ongoing shenanigans in the US Attorney's Office for the District of New Jersey, where the Trump administration has installed a "triumvirate" of lawyers to run the office rather than just submit a nominee to the Senate. Things came to a head when the government botched a prosecution for child sexual abuse materials and tried to plow ahead anyway. Judge Zahid Quraishi summoned the DOJ lawyer responsible to appear in court and… it did not go well. And for subscribers, we have a bonus that dives even deeper into the mess the Trump administration has gotten into in New Jersey because it refuses to back down and just do the normal thing. What happens when you turn a "bullshit" police raid into a viral rap song? In August 2022, the Adams County Sheriff's Office raided Afroman's home looking for a basement dungeon that didn't exist. When no charges were filed, Afroman did what he does best: he made music. Using security and bodycam footage, he released hits like "Lemon Pound Cake" and "Randy Walters," leading seven officers to sue him for defamation and false light. Join Tyrella and Nikita as they break down the March 2026 civil trial, the "actual malice" standard for public officials, and the "diabolically funny" moments in the courtroom—from "reshuffling" seized cash to a witness who didn't know if his own wife had cheated. If you've ever wanted a comedy podcast that starts with wholesome 90s nostalgia and ends with absolute chaos… congratulations, you've found your people.Today's episode of The Rizzuto Show kicks off with March Movie Mayhem — a completely scientific (read: wildly emotional) bracket where some of the greatest 90s movies ever made are getting voted off like it's reality TV. And yes, things get heated. When Tommy Boy takes down Dumb and Dumber, friendships are tested. When Mrs. Doubtfire somehow defeats The Big Lebowski, trust in humanity is shaken. And when Shawshank Redemption faces Forrest Gump, the room collectively realizes there are no winners… only arguments. But don't worry — that's just the beginning of this completely normal comedy podcast. We pivot into celebrity news, where things immediately get weird. We're talking about a Charlie Daniels hologram concert for America's 250th birthday, because apparently even the afterlife has tour dates now. The crew debates whether this is cool, creepy, or just inevitable at this point. (Spoiler: it's all three.)Then comes the moment where the tone shifts from “haha funny” to “dude… seriously?” — Tiger Woods' latest DUI incident. No alcohol detected, a flipped vehicle, and a lot of unanswered questions. The crew breaks it down with a mix of concern, disbelief, and the universal agreement that maybe — just maybe — one of the richest athletes on the planet could invest in a driver. We also hit everything from Afroman's legal win, to a disastrous Barbie-themed event that somehow charged people $450 for disappointment, to the kind of random historical facts that make you question how we got here as a society. It's messy, it's hilarious, it's a little unhinged — exactly what you want from a comedy podcast that doesn't pretend to have it all figured out.So buckle up, lower your expectations just a bit, and enjoy the ride.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Attorney Eric Bland tells investigative journalists Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell why he is fired up — and for good reason. Eric discusses twelve ODC complaints from a convicted felon and a looming all-day interview about his conduct from Murdaugh-related complaints filed by Parkers attorneys and Dick Harpootlian… from as early as 2021! The team also takes a hard look at what the ODC actually is, who it protects, and who it's used against. Mandy breaks down why she's fighting her deposition subpoena in the Parker civil conspiracy case tooth and nail, what it means that Liz sat for eight hours and it still wasn't enough, and why Mandy may ultimately decide to sit — on her own terms. Then: a masterclass in fighting back from an unlikely source. Afroman's defamation trial win against Adams County, Ohio Sheriff's deputies teaches the crew about the Streisand Effect, probable cause, and the power of sunlight. ☕ Cups Up! ⚖️ Episode References How to file a complaint with SC ODC
We discuss examples of the Streisand effect in pop culture, including a recent incident from the Afroman trial. patreon Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

The Trump Administration's crackdown on undocumented and documented immigrants hasn't stopped — even for recipients of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA. Since Trump returned to the White House last year, his administration has made life harder and harder for the estimated half a million DACA recipients living in the US. The Trump Administration has said it's deported nearly 100 DACA recipients — and that's not including everyone who has been detained. To talk more about what Dreamers are having to endure under Trump, we spoke with Laura Barrón-López. She's a White House reporter for MSNOW.And in headlines, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reportedly plans to ask Congress for $200 billion to fund the war with Iran, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu holds a press conference just to prove he's still kickin', and rapper Afroman is — legally — serving up Lemon Pound Cake.Show Notes: Check out Laura's interview – https://tinyurl.com/4ujxrtxu Call Congress – 202-224-3121 Subscribe to the What A Day Newsletter – https://tinyurl.com/y4y2e9jy What A Day – YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/@whatadaypodcast Follow us on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/crookedmedia/ For a transcript of this episode, please visit crooked.com/whataday
