Send us a textThe latest live episode of 2 Giants Goofballs: New York Giants News & Updates is packed with the most important and intriguing Giants news today as OTAs are officially underway. Hosts Drew and Rob break down everything you need to know from the New York Giants' first two OTA sessions, including updates from Head Coach Brian Daboll on injuries, practice standouts, and some surprising depth chart movements that could shape the early part of training camp.Giants fans tuning in will hear Daboll's latest injury updates on key players like rookie WR Malik Nabers, who is being held out as a precaution due to a lingering toe issue, as well as LT Andrew Thomas and free agent signing Jon Runyan. Daboll also comments on Dexter Lawrence's progress and the slow ramp-up for CB Paulson Adebo after last year's leg injury. This episode also dives deep into the standout performances from OTA 2, where the quarterbacks shined in red zone drills. Russell Wilson threw an early TD to Eric Gray and worked exclusively with the starters, while Jameis Winston tossed four touchdowns to Slayton, Hyatt, Montrell Washington, and Greg Dulcich. Rookie Jaxson Dart made his mark with three touchdowns of his own, including one to college teammate Juice Wells and another to Dante Miller, who racked up three total TDs. UDFA Tommy DeVito connected with Jordan Bly for three scores as well. The guys analyze the Giants' reshuffled offensive line, featuring James Hudson, Aaron Stinnie, John Michael Schmitz, Greg Van Roten, and Jermaine Eluemunor. With Thomas and Runyan sidelined, the Giants were clearly experimenting up front while Mike Kafka called plays and Brian Daboll spent considerable time observing Dart.Defensively, Dane Belton and Micah McFadden both made splash plays with interceptions, and Brian Burns showed off his elite edge presence with a would-be sack. Chris Board and Darius Muasau also flashed in pass coverage. PFF recently named both Brian Burns and rookie Abdul Carter to their Top 32 Edge Rushers list, and Drew and Rob break down why Carter may be the next breakout star for the Giants defense. The show also touches on a viral moment that got Giants fans buzzing: Brandon Jacobs' son Brayden, a 6'7”, 320-pound high school senior who's committed to Clemson, has the size and pedigree to dominate. To close things out, the hosts unpack the developing story around Jalin Hyatt and why he's reportedly in the Giants' doghouse. According to insider Connor Hughes, Hyatt mentally checked out last season after a clash with the coaching staff, which led to limited usage despite his clear talent. Could this be a make-or-break year for the explosive wideout?Whether you're looking for the latest New York Giants news, injury updates, OTA standouts, or behind-the-scenes stories from East Rutherford, this episode has you covered. Hour 1 The Raiders fired Antonio Pierce and Tom Brady is going to be one of the guys in on the hiring of the new coach. Can Brady and the Raiders outbid the Patriots for Mike Vrabel? Gio said so far with the Jets coaching situation, there have been no leaks. We haven't heard anything about the Vrabel or Rex Ryan interviews other than they happened. The Jets still don't have a GM and they're interviewing head coaches. Gio is fine with that because he thinks the head coach has to be the alpha male. If they bring Rex in with Aaron Rodgers, who's running the offense? Boomer thinks what's going on in Dallas with Mike McCarthy is interesting. Gio thinks they are working on a contract which is why they didn't let him go interview with the Bears. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with Mike Francesa saying he could build a team for the Jets. It involves Rex as defensive coordinator with ‘unusual authority'. Jim Harbaugh talked about signing Zeke Elliott. Justin Herbert was asked when he realized Harbaugh was sort of ‘out there'. Mike Tomlin was asked about his QB situation. In the final segment of the hour, Gio has been listening to ‘The Telepathy Tapes' podcast about non-verbal autistic children who can read the minds of people. Hour 2 After talking about ‘The Telepathy Tapes' last segment, we got a call from a woman in Long Island who said her autistic son can read her mind. The Bucs assistant GM, Mike Greenberg, is going to be interviewing with the Jets for the GM job. Gio wonders if he will turn it down because he's a Jets fan and knows how bad the organization is. Boomer said he would take the job for sure because of his fandom growing up as a Jets fan. Boomer thinks he's a guy that could work with Rex Ryan. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Jason Whitlock who has audio of Emmanuel Acho talking about Joy Taylor. It's getting ugly between Whitlock and Acho in regards to the lawsuit against Fox. Marcellus Wiley was let go and seems to think it was because of them hiring Joy Taylor. Who knows how much of this is true as it's all allegations in a lawsuit right now. In the final segment of the hour, Gio has a trade proposal between the Giants and Titans for the number one pick from Brandon Jacobs. Well, he posted it but he didn't come up with it, but people are going at him on X over it. Hour 3 Phil Simms joins us in his regular Wednesday spot and mentions our earlier discussion about Jason Whitlock's comments on the lawsuit against Fox. Phil talked about Schoen and Daboll coming back. Phil was asked about Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward. Phil doesn't think Kirk Cousins would be a fit for the Giants or Jets because of the weather up here. Phil does think Rex could work for the Jets. We went through other head coaches the Jets are interviewing to see what Phil thought. Jerry returns for an update and starts with DeMeco Ryans talking about everyone thinking the Chargers are going to beat them. Justin Herbert talked about how genuine Jim Harbaugh is. Lamar Jackson talked about the win or go home situation against the Steelers. Todd Bowles was asked about Mike Evans' record catch. JJ Redick talked about the wildfires going on in California. In the final segment of the hour, we heard a commercial where C-Lo is talking about a cyst on his tailbone. We got C-Lo on the phone to discuss. Hour 4 We got details about a caller's cyst that had ‘bones in it', which Boomer could not handle and made a very strange gag sound. So we replayed that a bunch of times. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with some preview sounds for this weekend's NFL Wild Card games. Mike Tomlin is open to any combination of quarterbacks as they face the Ravens. Mike McDaniel talked about meeting with Tyreek Hill about the issues they had in the last game. Gio said John Minko looks like a guy who signed the constitution as St. John's beat Xavier. The Moment of The Day: C-Lo had a cyst removed, Boomer gags at a cyst ...

Send us a textIn this jam-packed episode of *2 Giants Goofballs: New York Giants News & Updates,* Drew and Rob dive deep into the latest developments surrounding the New York Giants, including a potential game-changing quarterback acquisition, major injury updates, and an in-depth preview of Week 17 NFL matchups. This episode brings Giants fans up to speed on all the critical storylines as the season barrels toward its conclusion. The episode kicks off with a buzzworthy prediction from ESPN Draft Insider Matt Miller, who boldly claims the Giants will select Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Ward has put together a jaw-dropping season at Miami, completing 67.4% of his passes for 4,123 yards, 36 touchdowns, and just seven interceptions. Additionally, his ability to make plays with his legs—adding 146 rushing yards and four touchdowns—makes him a dynamic option for the Giants' future. Adding to the discussion, former NFL quarterback and current analyst Dan Orlovsky weighs in with his thoughts on how the Giants can fix their woes. Orlovsky stresses the importance of rebuilding the offensive and defensive lines, citing the team's past success underpinned by strong line play. He recalls the days of players like Rodney Hampton, Justin Tuck, Osi Umenyiora, and Brandon Jacobs, arguing that the Giants have lost their identity as a line-of-scrimmage-dominant team. The conversation shifts to the present with updates on the Giants' quarterback situation for Week 17. Drew Lock is set to start against the Colts, despite a rough season in which he has completed just 52.7% of his passes for 624 yards, one touchdown, and four interceptions in six games (three starts). The Giants are 0-3 in Lock's starts, and the hosts discuss whether he can show any improvement or if the Colts game might serve as a final evaluation for his future with the team. Injury news continues to plague the Giants. Promising rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers is battling a toe injury, making him a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup. Nabers has been a revelation this season, amassing 969 receiving yards and closing in on a historic rookie campaign. He needs just 31 yards to become the Giants' first 1,000-yard receiver since Odell Beckham Jr. in 2018 and three catches to hit 100 receptions, a milestone no Giants rookie has ever achieved. The injury bug doesn't stop there. Safety Raheem Layne's season ends prematurely after he tore his meniscus against the Falcons, just one day after being promoted to the active roster. . Meanwhile, linebacker Dyontae Johnson is activated off injured reserve after missing most of the season due to an ankle injury sustained in the preseason. Drew and Rob discuss how Johnson's return could bolster a depleted defense, noting his journey from undrafted rookie free agent to contributor. Whether you're looking for insights into the Giants' future, updates on key injuries, or a detailed breakdown of the Week 17 NFL slate, this episode of *2 Giants Goofballs* has it all. Brandon is Practice Leader, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) Consulting Practice, Search & Consulting Services and also supports our Head of School, Key Administrator, Catholic Schools, and Diversity Leadership Search Practices. Brandon has been instrumental in growing our DEIB Search and Consulting Practices. He has worked with dozens of independent schools, colleges and universities, and education organizations, running retained searches for DEIB practitioners and leading consulting engagements around implicit bias, equitable hiring, BIPOC faculty and staff retention, and other topics. Thanks to financial assistance from New Jersey SEEDS, a nonprofit organization that places high-achieving students from low-income families at selective day and boarding schools across the country, Brandon and his three younger brothers were able to attend The Hill School (PA). At the predominantly white boarding school, Brandon served as the first Black All-School President and, seven years following his high school graduation, would return to his alma mater to assume the dual roles of Director of Inclusion and Diversity and Student Activities Coordinator. While at The Hill School, Brandon was also Director of Student Activities, Class Dean, and Assistant Director of College Advising. Before joining CS&A, Brandon served as the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at The Shipley School (PA) where he led the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs that sustained an inclusive school community and curriculum and fulfilled the School's diversity and inclusion goals. Working closely with school administrators, he directed recruitment and retention initiatives to broaden the diversity of the student body and among faculty and staff. Too much Tay Tay & Travis, Mel Tucker won't go away, Naked Attraction on Max, Donna D'Errico's sending pulses racing, Sen Bob. Menendez excuses, the best charting instrumental songs, and Matthew Perry has a new girl & is doing just fine. Trudi is back from her east coast vacation. It was good except for the POS AirBnb & broken down rental car. Some people are saying AirBnB is played out. Drew did a deep dive on the best charting instrumental songs. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are hot and heavy... and dominating everything in the media. She celebrated his touchdown, snuck out of the suite in a popcorn machine, and then left in his convertible to rent out a whole restaurant. Who knew Bill Belichick had jokes? Mel Tucker sends yet another letter to MSU saying they shouldn't have fired him. Former NFL running back Brandon Jacobs agrees. After all, Jacobs is convinced Mel was set up by the University. Naked Attraction on dropped on Max. It's a dating show, where everyone's nude & some are "lifting off the bag". Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde have settled their child custody case and something seems off. Everybody loved the show House even though every episode was the same. Dave Mathews is going to be canceled someday for his appearance on the show. Kevin Sorbo is mad that Hollywood actors aren't manly enough. Especially those high paid femmes: The Rock, Vin Diesel, Ryan Reynolds and Mark Walhberg. The writers strike in Hollywood is finally over. Both Trump and Biden are going to town to make the UAW strike all about them. The only thing that could possibly stop Vince Neil from rocking the OK state fair is gunshots. The Global Citizens concert happened and no one noticed. Red Hot Chili Peppers were the only set worth watching. Trudi threatened to leave her fridge. The fridge had second thoughts. The new replacement fridge is very sad and looking for a new home. Donna D'Errico is sending pulses racing again. She looks good, just not like Donna D'Errico. Matthew Perry is doing just fine, despite all evidence to the contrary. He even has a new girlfriend. RIP David McCallum from The Man From U.N.C.L.E. London cops have opened a criminal investigation into the Russell Brand allegations. Drew dumped Jennifer Anniston. Megan Rapinoe has not sung her final National Anthem for the USWNT. New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez has been indicted (again) for bribery charges. He has a "press conference" where he didn't take any question. Former NJ Governor Jim McGreevey, who resigned because of a sex scandal, is back baby!
