Over the past decade, the oil and gas industry has sharpened its drilling skills, extracting fossil fuels at greater depths — and with more precision — than ever before. LNG Canada will be Canada's first major LNG export terminal and is expected to start shipping Canadian natural gas to global markets from Kitimat, British Columbia, later this year. It's claimed Peter Keane has "an itch to scratch" at intercounty level as he is set to take charge of the Clare senior footballers. The former Kerry manager has been reccomended by the Clare Senior Football Manager Nomination Committee to replace fellow Kerry native Mark Fitzgerald who stepped away six weeks ago. The committe was comprised of stalwarts of Clare football Dermot Coughlan and David Tubridy along with chairman Kieran Keating and COO Deirdre Murphy. Clare FM analyst Joe Garry says Keane will come into the role with a point to prove following the manner at which he lost the Kerry senior football job.

Earlier this month, Clare football received a big blow, with the confirmation of Podge Collins' retirement from inter-county action. The Cratloe man decided to call time on a career that began back in 2014. He switched from a dual mandate in 2017 to focus on hurling, but returned to the football set-up in 2021.
