Microsoft (MSFT) Q2 earnings report 2026 Microsoft Q2 2026 earnings show Azure cloud growth slowing to 39% from 40% in the prior quarter, missing analyst expectations of 39.4% and causing shares to drop 7% in after-hours trading.  The company’s gross margin hit a three-year low at 68% due to substantial AI infrastructure investments totaling $37.5 billion in capital expenditures, up 66% year over year.

Few speakers at DLD this year were more sombre than The Economist's deputy executive editor Kenneth Cukier. “Civilizations aren't killed,” Cukier says, “they commit suicide.” It's now "three minutes to midnight" in Europe, he warns, and what he called the priceless "vase" of the liberal order is about to shatter. Borrowing from Hemingway's description of personal bankruptcy, Cukier argues that civilizational suicide comes "slowly, then suddenly". So can anything avert this collapse? Cukier isn't particularly optimistic, but nor is he hopeless. The vase hasn't shattered yet. The hope, he suggests, is with new peaceful technologies that can help reinvent democracy. But if the European clock really is teetering at three minutes to midnight, it's hard to be persuaded by Kenneth Cukier's abstract promises of ethical technology.Keen On America is a reader-supported publication. But the identity of the culprits and their true motives were a mystery to law enforcement and the rosary-clutching public. Was the objection on religious grounds? Was it someone with a vendetta against the Fitchburg police? Or was it all a light-hearted prank that got out of hand? Alex Jones says to fly to the border, you have to go through all types of security at the airport but the border is completely wide open. The border patrol to their irritation have been turned into facilitators of the crime and it shows the social contract is broken. Jones says it's a new business for Democrat voters to bring in new Democrat voters and house them in their homes for $40-$50,000 apiece, not out of the goodness of their hearts. It's a business that will collapse the country and that's what it's designed to do. Jones says you can cut the danger with a knife and really feel that America is at crossroads right now as we approach the most important election in modern history, and probably the most important election in world history at this point. The globalists, the leftists, the Marxists really hate America even when they run the country. They are the main threat to America. They are like a foreign country, a fifth column. Jones sees China as a 20% threat, Russia 10%, but 30% of the threat is from our own domestic enemies. Jones says there's a big awakening. The average Conservative or populist, or Christian knows we're in trouble but he doesn't know if they realize just how diabolical this is. Jones says if they realized it they would know it's two minutes to midnight and we face a crisis not just in America but of civilization. If the globalists get full control and eradicate the idea of American freedom, then all we have is Klaus Schwab and Bill Gates' ideology of scientific tyranny. CONTENTThis is a mini series covering parts of the Cold War we find interesting and will run in tandem with the Unconventional Soldier podcast. So why the title Seven Minutes to Midnight? The Doomsday Clock was a symbolic measurement that represented the likelihood of a human made global catastrophe in the form of a nuclear exchange between the global superpowers. In 1947 at the start of the Cold War it was deemed to be at 7 minutes to midnight, this naturally changed as the world lurched from one potential disaster to another. In 1953 it went to 2 minutes to midnight when tests were carried out on hydrogen bombs and 3 minutes to midnight in 1984 as the US and Soviet relations reached its lowest point. The Cold War eventually led to the collapse of the USSR but events of and from that time still dominate the global stage today. With the White Sox threatening to leave the Windy City and abscond to Tampa if they didn't get a new stadium 35 years ago this week, and with the Illinois legislative session winding down to the end of its session and the funding bill a few votes short, he weirdest thing happened. Time, on (and only on) the floor of the state legislature, stopped for three whole minutes, giving the Governor and House Majority Leader time to rally the support necessary to pass the bill. In honor of this miracle, of sorts, Mike and Bill look back at the history of the original Comiskey Park, and the hijinks that ultimately led to its replacement.
