Detectives believed they had identified the murderer and when they entered the bedroom of 18 year old Danyal Hussein in south-east London, they found a handwritten note, signed in his own blood, about how he had made a pact with a demon called 'Lucifuge Rofocale'. According to black magic, this demon is in charge of Hell's Government and Treasury by order of Lucifer. The pact he had signed was to murder six women every six months in return for financial reward, including winning the lottery... The Today Debate is about taking a subject and pulling it apart with more time than we could ever have during the Today programme in the morning. Today presenter Mishal Husain is joined by an expert panel in the BBC's Radio Theatre in Broadcasting House to look at the future of policing in 'The Today Debate: Policing and us - how can we fix it?' Her guests include Baroness Louise Casey, whose year long review into the Metropolitan Police found the force suffers from "institutional racism, misogyny and homophobia". The Met Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley. Mina Smallman, whose daughters Nicole Smallman and Bibaa Henry were murdered in London in June 2020. Two Met officers were subsequently jailed for sharing images of their bodies in a WhatsApp group. Steve Hartshorn, National Chair for the Police Federation of England and Wales, one of the largest police staff associations in the UK representing more than 130,000 rank and file officers. And Sir Peter Fahy, former Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police.
Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman were celebrating one of their birthdays when they were attacked. But they had absolutely no reason to be attacked. They were just 2 women, enjoying life together. They had no idea who their attacker was. Not only was he a stranger to them. But after 1am in the morning, in a dark park, during a partial lockdown, his appearance was an unpleasant surprise to them.--------------DISCLAIMERThis is a real, true crime case, so it's important that if you share or comment you do so with the appropriate sensitivity. The Metropolitan Police is institutionally racist, misogynistic and homophobic, according to the independent police review conducted by Baroness Casey. She was appointed to carry out the review following the abduction, rape and murder of Sarah Everard by a serving officer in 2021. On the Sky News Daily, Sally Lockwood is joined by our home editor Jason Farrell to go through what the report reveals and the recommendations for reform. Also, Mina Smallman, mother of Nicole Smallman and Bibaa Henry who were murdered in 2020 and had photos of their murder scene shared by police in a WhatsApp group, explains why the force needs to accept its failures. **Warning - Explicit language and graphic details of murder ** Larger than life sisters Nicole Smallman and Bibaa Henry were celebrating Nicole's upcoming birthday in London, United Kingdom when they are attacked and brutally murdered by incel demon worshipper, Danyal Hussein. The sisters are defiled in death and police are slow to respond to their family's pleas for help. Two Metropolitan police officers are suspended and charged, and later found guilty of misconduct in public office after taking photos of the murdered sisters in-situ at the murder scene, when they should've been looking after the scene and staying where they had been posted. Please note, there is one moment where the word c**ts is spelled out as it is in context with the story. I have decided not to say the word in this episode, but it was spelled out for you. It has been just over two months since Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and Anoosheh Ashoori returned to the UK from detention in Iran, and were reunited with their families. But for the family of London born businessman and wildlife conservationist Morad Tahbaz it's been a different story. The family said they expected their father to be part of the same deal but he was only released on furlough and swiftly returned to prison. His daughter Roxanne Tahbaz joins Emma. On yesterday's programme Nazanin paid tribute to those who campaigned for her release and in particular the ordinary women who supported her cause. Two sisters out enjoying an upcoming birthday never made it home thanks to a pact with a demon. Come listen to the horrible and inhumane murders of Bibaa and Nicole.
In Hussein's bedroom, near the contract with Lucifuge Rofocale, police found another handwritten letter pledging to "offer some blood" in exchange for making a girl at his school "fall deeply in love with me". Danyal Hussein had just turned 18 when he launched a ferocious knife attack on strangers Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman as the sisters celebrated Ms Henry's 46th birthday last summer. What prompted the teenager to commit such a horrific crime? Shortly after 01:00 BST on 1 July 2020 armed police smashed the door of an inconspicuous family home in a quiet cul-de-sac in Blackheath, south-east London. Inside they found a contract that Hussein, now 19, believed he had drawn up with a demon. In large, childish handwriting, he promised to "perform a minimum of six sacrifices every six months for as long as I am free and physically capable". The agreement was headed, "for the mighty king Lucifuge Rofocale" who, according to some Satanic cults, is the demon in charge of hell's government and treasury. In exchange Hussein would win the Mega Millions Super Jackpot and "receive fruitful rewards" including "wealth and power". At the bottom Hussein had signed his forename in his own blood. There was a space - left unsigned - for the demon to leave his mark.

Dr Elizabeth Mann, an immunologist at the Lydia Becker Institute at the University of Manchester and Naomi Grimley, BBC Global Health Correspondent joins us. The Metropolitan Police is without a Commissioner following the resignation of Dame Cressida Dick as London's police chief. A recent report about racist and sexist officers was one of many controversies she faced. Among the cases covered by Psycho Killer are:- The murder of Sarah Everard by Wayne Couzens, a serving police officer (https://bit.ly/sarah-everard-wayne-couzens)- The murder of Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman by Danyal Hussein (https://bit.ly/danyal-hussein)- The investigation into Stephen Port, the Gridr Killer (https://bit.ly/grindr-killer)Former West Yorkshire DCS Bob Taylor is a critic of Dame Cressida. In an interview with Simon Ford recorded in October 2021, he held her responsible for the Met's failings. Simon Ford asked DCS (Ret) Taylor: what would he do to put the Met's house in order?
Stacey Dooley has been presenting television documentaries for over 10 years – on everything from drug cartels in Southern Spain to illegal pornography in South Korea. Now the Sunday Times bestselling author has released a new book, exploring the state of mental health in the UK. ‘Are You Really OK?' looks at – amongst other things – issues of PTSD, depression, psychosis; and what causes these things. Stacey reveals what she's learnt. Yesterday on the programme we discussed the culture of policing in the light of misogynistic, discriminatory and violent texts exchanged between serving officers between 2016 and 2018. They were revealed as part of an IOPC investigation at Charing Cross police station in London. These revelations follow the murder of Sarah Everard and the treatment of Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman by serving Metropolitan Police officers. We asked how can a toxic culture be changed? A mother, Amanda, contacted us while we were on air. Her son, George, is planning to join the Police later this year and she is worried but he is determined to be part of the change. They both join Emma. Two women with no previous rowing experience have smashed the world record for the fastest female pair to row across the Atlantic. June 07, 2020. Fryent Country Park, Kingsbury, north-west London, England. On June 7th, 2020, Sisters Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman were celebrating Henry's 46th birthday on a dark hill in a London park when they were fatally attacked and killed by an assailant brandishing a blade. 36 hours later their bodies were discovered laid out in the undergrowth, posed together. They had been stabbed more than thirty times, the perpetrator then dragged their bodies into a thicket to conceal them before fleeing the scene. Injured, the killer left behind a large amount of his own blood that would eventually lead police directly to him and his bizarre motivation behind the brutal slayings.Aaron & Justin have a ton of extra episodes for you to listen to. Two sisters, Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman, were brutally murdered by a stranger in North West London in June 2020. And what followed on from that tragedy is unimaginable. An inadequate police response that meant their bodies were found, not by officers, but by the boyfriend of one of the sisters. And then, the unthinkable; two police officers found guilty of misconduct, after they took photographs of the murdered women and shared them in a WhatsApp group, actions that the Metropolitan Police commissioner Cressida Dick described as “unprofessional, disrespectful and deeply insensitive.” Today, our former Senior Home Affairs Correspondent Simon Israel comes out of retirement to tell the story of what happened that night and the shocking events that followed, and what it tells us about the so-called “canteen culture” in the Met Police.

Last summer, a birthday gathering in a London park turned to tragedy when two sisters were attacked and killed by a man with a knife. Nineteen-year-old Danyal Hussein was found guilty of murder yesterday at the Old Bailey. We now know that as a younger teenager he was referred to the counter extremism programme for accessing material on far right ideology. In June last year he attacked Bibaa Henry and then her younger sister Nicole Smallman. The court heard that his motive was a belief that sacrificing women would bring him a lottery win. Nicole and Bibaa's mother Mina Smallman, who was the first black woman to become an archdeacon in the Church of England, believes race was a factor in how their disappearance was first handled by the Metropolitan Police and was told officers had taken selfies with their bodies at the crime scene. She spoke to Today's Mishal Husain after the verdict was handed down. The interview contains details of evidence heard in the trial which you may find difficult to hear (Photo: Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman. Credit: Smallman/Henry family)
