When she was in high school, Becca Strom's parents divorced, her dad suddenly died, her brother got in trouble with the law, and her family drama and dysfunction skyrocketed. While she had come to faith as a teenager, she lost her way and things started getting rough, until God intervened and said, "If this is how it's going to be, things are not going to end well." In this episode of The Vaughn Kohler Podcast, I talk to Becca - who was my outstanding and hilarious administrative assistant when I was a pastor - and, in a dynamic conversation featuring Becca's trademark honesty and authenticity, we unpack her challenging youth, her journey with Jesus, the lessons God and life have taught her, and how she has become, not only a great wife and mother, but a successsful realtor in the greatest college town on the planet. Follow Becca on Instagram @mrsbstrom or, if you live in the Manhattan, Kansas area and are looking to buy or sell a home, visit www.goalliancerealty.com and ask for Becca!

Have you had a pivotal moment in your life? One that changed your trajectory for good (or not so good)? I rarely bring guests onto the show, so when I do, it's very intentional. I want to ensure the people you hear from bring you forward on your journey to your best life. I'm joined on today's podcast by Nick Bayerle. I met Nick when we were both in a mastermind together, and we immediately bonded over our love for the Lord and calling to build epic businesses. Nick Bayerle is the CEO of Billion Dollar Body and Creator of the Billion Dollar Brotherhood. He's the host of the BDB podcast, an international speaker, and author of the Modern Day Businessman. I invited Nick on because he reminds us that just as life can change for the negative in a moment, it can also change for the positive. Listen to this episode to discover how Nick used his past (difficult parts included) to catapult him onto a positive trajectory and overcome. The biggest takeaways from today's episode: You can flip from failure to success. Find the next version of you and don't just talk about it, be about it. In a world with endless information at our fingertips, we talk through how you can lean into God and wise counsel to help you find and follow the best course of action for your situation. Stand in the YES, even when it doesn't look like God is blessing you. It can be easy to think the moment you start following a path God has called you to, everything will work out great, and you won't face any adversity, but that is rarely the case. The KEY is continuing to move down the path, and know if God calls you to it, he will show up. God's framework for success is definite. He WANTS to bless us and gives us clear instruction on how to live our lives and succeed. We are often the ones getting in our own way. Sometimes God is the light to our path, showing us what is next, and sometimes, he's a lamp to our feet, showing us how to be excellent in what we have in our hands right now. The benefit of this is that it gives you the awareness that is needed to make change. From there, it is up to you to decide if you will take steps to change for the better. Welcome back to another episode of the Fit To Be Fierce Podcast! In this episode, I brought my great friend, one of my closest friends and a nutrition coach I look up to a lot, Jenn Kennedy (IG: @jennkennedynutrition), onto the show. Jenn and I have been friends for a while, and we actually had the same business coach for some time.Jenn is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to nutrition, mindset, and connecting the two to drive outcomes. She primarily coaches women and helps them overcome restrictive eating, past conditioning, and a myriad of other struggles. Having dealt with her own struggles regarding her mindset and weight, beginning at such a young age, she brings a level of expertise that everyone can learn from.In this episode, Jenn dove into her personal story and how it shaped her into the badass woman she is today, and specifically the past conditioning she realized she had to overcome to be the version of herself she wanted to become. We talked all about how past conditioning shapes us into the adults we become, and most importantly, she gave specific action items you can use today to create awareness around your own past conditioning and disassociate yourself from it.Give Jenn a follow on IG (@jennkennedynutrition), and check out her podcast, The Jenn Kennedy Show, where she talks all things nutrition and mindset and delivers a ton of expertise in a way you can make sense of.
