Amanda Walsh is a mother, wife, and creative entrepreneur who owns The Launch Hive, a custom brand & website design studio for the bold and badass. From starting a side hustle that didn't work out, to being a full time solopreneur, she is going to share branding and social media tips with us to help you along your business journey. In This Episode: Tips on how to build a brand if you are just starting out How to stand out in a saturated market The difference between branding + brand identity and why you need both Episode Notes: If you're just starting to create your brand: Choosing your brand: colors/color palette, fonts, style for brand recognition Free training on branding visuals: https://view.flodesk.com/pages/60257042fa7051428a396fac BRANDING vs. BRAND IDENTITY Brand Identity: The way your brand looks - the visual aspect. Branding: The foundational pieces that make your brand - your mission, values, beliefs, your why. Deeper rooted questions. What to refine before creating your brand identity: Who is your ideal client/who do you want to help, how you can help them/how they are feeling? "HUMANIZE your brand." Unfollow or mute accounts on social media that you're comparing yourself to. Stop following so many people in your industry. They are NOT your ideal client. How to stand out in a saturated market: Be real, show up as a your authentic self on social media What is your unique value proposition? What is something your ideal client needs that you can offer? “You all don't have the ideal client, although you may do the same thing you aren't helping the same people.” Keep the ideal client in mind when you are creating content, messaging, how you are showing up on social. Market research - ask your audience and clients more questions! Use polls, question box, quiz box on IG stories. “You can have a board WHO (who you help) as long as you have a specific WHAT (what you help them with)” Connect with Amanda: Website: https://www.thelaunchhive.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thelaunch_hive/
I'm not gonna sugar coat it, being rejected sucks. It makes you question yourself and feel like a failure. It hurts and it stings. It makes you feel down & out and causes your head to spin with negative self talk. Instead of wallowing in the negativity for days try moving forward with positivity. But like how do you do that when you're feeling rejected?! This is what's worked for me: 1. Let yourself feel the emotions for a little bit - sadness, hurt, disappointment. 2. Talk to those around you who are positive & supportive about how you're feeling - they will reenforce positivity and help you see the silver lining. 3. Learn and acknowledge that Rejection is just REDIRECTION - everything happens for a reason. Opportunities will pass you by in order to make room for something bigger & better. God has a plan! 4. Move forward with positivity and focus your energy on something new - Don't dwell on the rejection. Instead plan a new project or find a new opportunity to focus on and get excited about!
