Vietnam has decided to halve the registration fee for domestically assembled and manufactured automobiles, with effect from July 1, to boost demand and support local automakers.
The Ministry of Finance has sent a draft decree to the Government, proposing a 50% registration fee cut for domestically manufactured and assembled cars.
Associations have proposed the central Government halve the registration fee for locally assembled or manufactured cars during the first half of the year to boost market demand.
