This podcast is a vision that has found its roots in the historical mistreatment of black persons throughout this country; moreover, in light of recent history, where the world viewed the most egregious and despicable murder of unarmed black men by white police officers in the state of Minnesota. I would like with the aid of multimedia (audio and video) provide awareness of criminal injustice that has historically had a detrimental effect on people of color. I will co-host a podcast out of the city where George Floyd was murder. Along with providing a commentary on law enforcement and the system of corrections. The platform will vary from commentaries on current issues to interviews from those directly affected by enacted laws and statutes. This conversation will not only include those who are currently and have been recently released from prison but also provide an opportunity for the voiceless to voice their experiences on dealing with the criminal injustice system. In addition, any new laws that are being introduced that affect those currently or previously in the system of correction will be debated.

SAF Moe ur Prison Lawyer and Ron B N' da Middle, in the Grill Pit, discuss street cred, when and how it should be used? Watch the full episode.Travesty of criminal justice, in the Grill Pit, SAF Moe, and Ron B talk, #MelissaLucio, 53, who was set to be executed April 27, 2022, for capital murder in the 2007 death of her 2-year-old daughter. However, two days before that, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals granted her a stay of execution, delaying her death so Lucio's trial court can explore whether she should receive a new trial. Is this justice? Spending decades in prison for a lie, the prosecutor made up. Comment!!!!!!!!!!!!Omar Johnson aka Omara Ashanti a prisoner currently serving a de-facto life sentence at the Illinois Department of Correction (IL DOC), located in Springfield, IL, calls into the Grill Pit to talk prison politics. He speaks on the unprofessionalism of the staff within the IDOC and the obstacles he faces daily with just having his grievances heard. Ashanti is opportunistic believing Rob Jeffreys who serves as Director of the Illinois Department of Corrections, and is a nationally recognized criminal justice expert with correctional experience spanning more than two decades, is the progress advocated needed for change. However, after reading Jeffreys' bio on the IDOC site, I believe he is only a face being used to control the machine. On GP, SAF Moe and Ron B react to the recent investigative report by the Minnesota Department of Human Rights (MDHR). This investigation was announced after the murder of George Floyd in May 2020. Dexaminid whether the city and the police department were using racially discriminatory practices and policies. I could have done this without wasting taxpayers' dollars."Following the murder of George Floyd, demands to end discriminatory policing practices reverberated across the world," Minnesota Department of Human Rights Commissioner Rebecca Lucero said when announcing the report's findings. "Those demands remain just as urgent today with the announcement of the investigative findings which paints an unsettling picture of the City of Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Police Department engaging in a pattern of racial discrimination over the last decade.(Excerpt from the report)Minnesota Human Rights Act (MHRA) is the state law prohibiting discrimination in Minnesota and is enforced by the Minnesota Department of Human Rights (MDHR). It is one of the strongest civil rights laws in the country. The state law prohibits discrimination in employment, housing, public accommodations, public services, education, credit, and business based on a protected class, such as race, religion, disability, national origin, sex, marital status, familial status, age, sexual orientation, and gender identity.

IGSTS Episode #16I got somethang ta say That justice is a blind goddessIs a thing to which we poor are wiseHer bandage hides two festering soresThat once, perhaps, were eyesThe Great Langston HughesDaunte Wright's murder. Was it a careless mistake or something more sinister? SAF Moe ur Prison Lawyer and Ron B in the Middle discuss the facts from their perspectives. Moreover, the hosts of I got somethang ta say, try to make sense of a verdict, that makes no sense. Under the current system of law enforcement, if a police officer is in the process of apprehending an individual for some alleged offense, that person has no right to resist. Even if the officer is in the wrong. That individual cannot use deadly force against the aggressor, however, it can and will be used against that individual. As most Americans are not overt victims of overseeing and control, a problem only faced by the most downtrodden, critical subjects such as the Potter verdict, over-policing, and hyper-minority incarceration may seem overly sensationalized, notwithstanding, as for African Americans who deal with it on a day-to-day basis, it is only the system reaffirming its grasp around their proverbial throats. The subject of unarmed men and women of color being murdered is a very sensitive topic; moreover, faced with the fact that law enforcement has been used as a tool to remove all human dignity from certain persons for the purpose of control, this conversation must be had, this space must be free and open until no person is killed simply for being unapologetically different in America!Justin Terrell (Executive Director) Minnesota Justice Research Center is our special guest and speaks truth to power. Mr. Terrell is a lifelong advocate for justice and he discusses politics in Minnesota and felons' disenfranchisement in the political process.Note:In Tennessee v. Garner (1985), thus. Supreme Court reframed such actions by police to fall under the Fourth Amendment. The Court commented that "Whenever an officer restrains the freedom of a person to walk away, he has seized that person . . . there can be no question that application of deadly force is a seizure subject to the reasonableness requirement of the Fourth Amendment." This case essentially abolished the over-broad use of the "fleeing felon" doctrine by striking down the use of "all necessary means" to apprehend fleeing suspects. Her retelling of abuse from family members and being homeless with her son, is emotionally moving, and will leave viewers and our listeners wondering: how is this possible? A young innocent girl is born in prison and tossed around the foster care system until she's adopted. In most holliewood (sic) movies the ending is picture-perfect. However, Noelle's tale is very different please watch the whole episode. Moreover, Noelle's story is not only about the days she spent in prison but also mental health, child abuse, being #borninprison, and being homeless with her young son. B was born in the South and raised a fighter and a survivor, and her only weapon has always been her contagious, infectious smile and lovable character. The criminal injustice must be held accountable, and we as felons must come together and begin to network and pool our resources to fight the legal discrimination that has been levied against us. Ron L. Zabler admits Oneida County winters have been harsh on his family's cabin in the woods. Some of the paint may be peeling, but that makes this place no less important to him. “Once I'm up here, I don't want to go back,” said Zabler, whose permanent home with his wife, Carline, is in southern Wisconsin. A lot of his attitude has to do with his family's history on this plot of land. “I've been here since I was 14. I was here when the original owner was here,” said Zabler, who is in his 70s. He was standing outside the red, wooden cabin with his wife and his son, also named Ron. “This is sacred land. My grandfather's ashes are on this property,” said the son, Ron B. Zabler. “This land's been in our family since he got out of World War II.” The family has always known their area of the Town of Schoepke to be a peaceful one, until earlier this month, when trucks and heavy machinery started lumbering by on the one-lane gravel road. “They're currently doing exploratory drilling, and you
