The Turning Point Spread: A Litha Collective ReadingHappy Litha and Happy Summer Solstice! This special bonus episode is a collective oracle reading inspired by the energy of Litha—the longest day of the year and the sacred turning point between the reign of the Oak King and the Holly King.Using the Seasons of the Witch: Litha Oracle deck by Lorraine Anderson and Juliet Diaz, with artwork by Tiana Lukovic, I walk through a five-card spread I created called The Turning Point Spread. Together, we explore the themes of abundance, intuition, shadow work, authenticity, and the inner wisdom that emerges when we stop seeking validation outside ourselves. As I moved through this reading, one message appeared again and again:The power was never outside of you.Whether you're standing at a crossroads, dreaming about what's next, or feeling called toward a deeper version of yourself, this reading offers reflections and questions to carry with you into the darker half of the year.In this episode:✨ Where you are standing in your power right now✨ Why abundance and wholeness are not the same thing✨ Expanding your vision beyond inherited limitations✨ What you're being asked to release into the fire this Litha✨ Letting go of spiritual performance and embracing shadow work✨ The importance of your unique voice, gifts, and perspective✨ What wants to be born during the descent into the darker half of the year✨ The deeper lesson woven through every card in this readingCards Pulled
ANGELA'S SYMPOSIUM 📖 Academic Study on Witchcraft, Paganism, esotericism, magick and the Occult
Is Litha really an ancient Pagan festival, or is its history far more fascinating? In this episode, Dr Angela Puca explores the true history of Litha, the Summer Solstice, and Midsummer, separating historical evidence from modern Pagan myth-making. We look at Stonehenge, Bede, St John's Eve, midsummer bonfires, folk magic, Wicca, and the creation of the modern Wheel of the Year.Rather than asking whether Litha is “real” or “fake,” this video reveals how contemporary Pagans transform ancient solar symbolism, European folklore, and modern ritual creativity into a meaningful seasonal celebration.Perfect for Pagans, witches, Wiccans, folklore lovers, and anyone interested in the history of magic, ritual, and the Summer Solstice.CONNECT & SUPPORT
In this seasonal immersion with Isla Macleod, we arrive at the luminous threshold of Summer Solstice, a time of abundance, celebration and ripening. Together, we explore Litha as a living invitation into collaboration, creativity and deeper intimacy with the web of relationships that sustain us.These special seasonal episodes move between reflection, story, myth and gentle ritual invitation. At the heart of this episode is a remembering that creation is through collaboration. As Isla shares, “Summer teaches me that creativity is a living current that I can choose to attune to.” Nature reveals that abundance is born through relationship, through the exchange of gifts, ideas, energy and care.Summer becomes an invitation to soften our edges and allow ourselves to be surprised by Life. To become receptive to beauty, wonder and serendipity. To trust the mysterious intelligence moving through all living things and discover our place within the great dance of co-creation.“To collaborate with life requires a willingness to be surprised and say yes to invitations that were not part of the plan.”This is, as with our core intention at Rooted Healing, an invitation into intimacy with Life itself. Into what Isla describes so beautifully as participating wholeheartedly in the dance of Creation.“May you taste the sweetness of this season and recognise the countless relationships that sustain your life.”With special thanks to the music in this episode from Mango Lassie, Telling the Bees, The Children's Forest, Dorrie Joy and Cynefin.Learn more about our courses and gatherings at rootedhealing.orgSupport us on Patreon. Welcome back to Big Crystal Energy! In this episode, Ashleigh dives into the Sabbat of Litha, also known as the Summer Solstice — the longest day of the year and one of the most powerful turning points on the Wheel of the Year.Litha is a celebration of peak solar energy, abundance, fire, illumination, love, and transformation. But it is also a threshold. At the exact moment the sun reaches its height, the darker half of the year quietly begins. This episode explores that beautiful paradox: the peak, the pause, and the turning.Ashleigh shares reflections from her own life as she stands at a personal threshold between her clinical work, motherhood, podcasting, crystal healing, and spiritual expansion. Today I am joined by Carla from our coven to talk about death, grief, poisonous plants, her craft and a whole lot more in this episode! This is part one as the interview was so long my software couldn't cope with the duration so I have released as a two parter. Carla Valentine is a qualified Senior Mortuary Technician, and is currently the human remains conservator at Barts Pathology Museum in London. Her career caring for the dead has spanned over 20 years. She is a writer and broadcaster, featuring on TV shows such as The Bone Detectives, Fatberg Autopsy and Ancient Unexplained Files, and has a podcast called Mortem on BBC Sounds. Her first book, Past Mortems, documents her career carrying out autopsies for a decade, and the follow up, The Language of Bones - out October 1st 2026 - is a deeper exploration of death practices and the human condition. She also penned Murder Isn't Easy: The Forensics of Agatha Christie, and her next book, Planted Evidence - all about gardens, graves and poisonous plants - will be published in 2028. Carla's career informs her craft and she incorporates death meditation (mortality salience) into her practice as well as the use of body fluids and bones. It's summer! Litha launches this next phase on our Wheel of the Year and for many witches, the summer solstice is a celebration of abundance, vitality, growth, fertility and fire. Our gardens are flourishing, the days are long and the natural world feels vibrant and alive. Everywhere we look, we can see the results of what has been growing since the first stirrings of spring. But the Summer Solstice is not simply a celebration of light. It is a lesson about what we do when we reach the height of our own light. What do we do when we have built something? When we have grown and stepped into greater responsibility? What happens when we are being asked to lead? That is where I want to spend our time together today. Because this year, when I look at Litha, I find myself looking less at the Sun in the sky and more at what that solar energy is trying to teach us. Not just about power or success. But about stewardship, responsibility, confidence, protection, and the sacred masculine energy that helps us build something strong enough to last. We've got this!CharleneHearth & Hen Witchy Work Wishes Patreon
So viele Frauen optimieren ihren Kalender. May you go back to your roots, let your feelings move like water, and welcome a clear, joyful reset this summer season.Reminder: I do create monthly handbooks for members of our Goddess Magic Mystery School community and June's handbook is available here.Expanded post available here.Questions to explore:What would it feel like to let yourself be surrounded by love—right now, as you are?Can you have a feeling without putting it into words? What is stagnant in your life right now?Where in your life are you repeating the same emotional script instead of letting it move?Do you feel yanked hither and yon by the pull of your feelings or by other people's needs? What would it look like to let emotions flow through you and then go, rather than damming them up?If you could return one aspect of your life to the “factory settings,” what would it be?What are your own deep roots right now—what actually nourishes you? When you go back to the roots, what do you discover you truly want to keep, and what is ready to be released?Where in your life are you choosing what is convenient or comfortable over what might be deeply true or needed?Affirmations:I listen to the child within.I am surrounded by love.I nourish wholeness by going within.I dance with what life has to offer.I create my life with joy.I dip my feet into the current of the sacred. My emotions flow through me with ease.I listen to the ways of water.I stay open to what is.I stay open to what's unfolding.I welcome a clear, loving reset in my life.I return to my roots and open to new possibilities.A gift to be here…I treasure my place on this earth, the power of connection, the roots of inspiration, the softness of settling in, the certainty and grace of belonging. It is a gift to be here, watching it all spin.Sending love to all of you.Keep living your magic, Molly, Mark, + Family This is a public episode. My theme today is about fathers, protectors & sacred masculine energy. Last month we sat together and explored the Maiden, Mother and Crone energy… and some of the feminine archetypes that move through all of us in different seasons of life. As Father's Day started approaching, I found myself thinking about the other side of that balance. About masculine energy. About fathers, protectors, providers, warriors, guides and elders. About the energies that hold, defend, build and steady us. This episode is about the sacred masculine archetypal energy and the Witch Father energy … the big Solar, external energy that is rising so strongly right now with our Summer Solstice coming up … our big Litha celebration!Instead of trying to have all the answers today, we're simply going to begin. We are going to start the conversation and I promise I will do my best to make it fluid enough that (hopefully) we all walk away with something. Maybe it's a new perspective. Maybe it's a question you want to sit with a little longer. Or Maybe (like for me) it's a piece of your own story that suddenly makes more sense. Today's conversation is a refreshed way of thinking about and working with the sun's energy and the masculine side of the spiritual path. Because just as the moon has wisdom to offer us, so does the sun. Just as the feminine has lessons to teach us, so does the masculine. And perhaps the real magic isn't found in choosing one over the other, but in learning how they work together inside each of us.We've got this!CharleneHearth & Hen Witchy Work Wishes Patreon

The sun is high, the days are long, the flowers are blooming, the herbs are going wild, and somehow your calendar has also decided to become an overgrown garden of obligations. Welcome to Litha, witches! In this episode of Back on the Broomstick, Laylla and Chelle celebrate the summer solstice, the longest day and shortest night of the year, by talking about what happens when all that solar energy starts to feel like a little too much. Litha is a season of fire, growth, joy, abundance, and everything blooming wild under the sun, but it can also be a time when life ramps up, the to-do list gets louder, and even your magic starts feeling like one more thing you're supposed to keep alive. So this year, we're looking at Litha through the eyes of the tired witch at midsummer. How do you stay connected to your craft when you're busy, overheated, overstimulated, broke, allergic to everything green, or just not in the mood to build an elaborate solstice altar? How do you let the sun warm you without burning you out? We'll share simple, practical, witchy ways to keep magic woven into your everyday life during the bright, busy rush of summer. From tiny solar rituals and sacred shade to ripening, boundaries, and tending your own light, this episode is a reminder that you do not have to do more to be magical. Sometimes the most powerful Litha spell is drinking some water, stepping into the shade, and remembering that even the sun knows when to rest.Karen's etsy shopSummer Magick and the Forgotten Sabbat68: Litha Stories, Spells, & Rituals - Myth of the Oak King & Holly King119: Midsummer Magick: Litha Lore and the Fair FolkGot a question? In today's episode we descend beneath the tides to explore the world of mermaids — their folklore, symbolism and the magic that surrounds them. This episode also ties into my current Sea Witch work and upcoming Litha zine The Book of Tides, where we explore mermaids, selkies, water magic, sea folklore and the many sacred forms of magical water used within witchcraft and folk practice. Over on Patreon this month we descend beneath the tides with our new theme - Sea Witch. Throughout May we will be exploring the magic of the sea through guided meditation, folklore, plant magic, ritual, glamour, tides and oceanic witchcraft. Together we will journey into the liminal space between shore and sea, working with the subconscious, emotional alchemy and the deep, magnetic energy of the ocean. This month includes a guided meditation journey beneath the waves, sea plant lore exploring kelp and bladderwrack, a deep dive podcast episode on sea witchcraft and a Sea Witch Glamour & Power ritual focused on embodiment, magnetism, beauty and feminine ocean energy. In this month's Circle on Thursday 28th May from 7pm within the Witches Who Run With the Wolves tier, we gather beside the tides to reclaim the lost skin of the self. Together we will journey through a guided selkie meditation of remembrance and return — a journey into the deep waters of intuition, identity, longing, and reclamation. This circle may stir themes of reclaiming hidden parts of yourself, releasing old identities, reconnecting with intuition, and remembering who you were before survival became your shape. The circle will include a guided selkie meditation, journal prompts, tarot and oracle reflection. I will pull cards for the collective circle, and you are very welcome to bring your own tarot or oracle cards to pull for yourself during the evening. A Zoom link will be posted on the morning of the circle and a replay will be available the following day for those unable to attend live. This gathering is available through the Witches Who Run With the Wolves tier on Patreon. Join here - https://www.patreon.com/c/TheHedgeandHollow?redirect=true My new zine Beneath the Hawthorn Tree is out now, in this zine my zine covers an in-depth look at Beltane and how you can celebrate it, all of its magickal associations, related deities, herbs, flowers, foods, crystals, trees, animals and journal and tarot prompts for Beltane, we look at the element of fire and how to honour it within your practice and then we go full fae with sections the faery realm, how to journey or astral travel to the faery realm, faery witchcraft, pixies, brownies, the bantee or woman of the house (a female Irish counterpart of the brownie), then we look at deities such as Morgan Le Fay and Cliodhna, their lore and how to work with them. We finish up with a very in depth section on faery flora and fauna with foxglove and hawthorn. The Wheel turns again, and the witches are outdoors, which can only mean one thing: Litha has arrived! In this delightfully sun-soaked episode, the Three Witches— Maeve, Margo, and Gwen — drag their lawn chairs into Druid Brian's backyard to soak up the solstice (and maybe a bit of wine) all while diving deep into the longest day of the year. Surrounded by the scent of wildflowers, the hum of bees, and perhaps... just a whisper of fae mischief in the breeze. In this episode, the gang is asking some real questions. What happens in lands where sunlight barely kisses the earth or refuses to sleep at all? Do the sabbats take on new shapes in those corners of the world? The conversation weaves through myth and mystery as they explore how place and practice intertwine. From the age-old tale of the Holly King and the Oak King, to delicious summer offerings and rituals soaked in sunlight and strawberry juice. And yes… Brian may or may not call out the gang for sounding like “four old white folks complaining about the weather.” He's not wrong but let's be real, Canadian solstice can mean anything from sunburns to frozen cloaks. Here's what we're conjuring up this week:
Happy Summer Solstice! Happy Litha! This is a time to embrace abundance and fertility and to bask in the bounty we've created over the past many months. The Summer Solstice offers an opportunity to gather and celebrate, but it also invites us to pause and notice. What is calling our attention now? What do we want to nurture over the next six months? It's crucial to stay in the moment, but it's also important to be intentional about what we still wish to bring into our lives. As we soak in the light of the longest day of the year, let's reflect on the shifts we hope to see when the shortest day of the year arrives. It may seem like a long way away, but sustainable charge starts with small, gradual steps... steps that we can begin to take right now. As we journey though the woods on this hot, humid morning, consider the intentions you'll set this solstice. On this week's Bonus Episode - the last one of Series 6 - we're talking all things Midsummer!Folding in the history of the term 'Litha' which is sometimes also applied to the day, we're talking Gerald Gardner and the birth of Wicca, the parts Aleister Crowley, the Druids, and the Rosicrucians had to play in the revival/creation of pagan traditions, and reminding ourselves what being a "pagan" means and why!We also unpick knotty changes in the English calendar, including the layers of festivals as mentioned by the Venerable Bede and initiated by the early Christian church. Though, at the same time, what vestiges of Roman custom might we have carried forward? What about prehistoric celebrations, linked to megalithic monuments like Stonehenge? And then there's the shift from the Julian to the Gregorian calendar, which meant moving just about every festival to a new place in a rejigged month... Midsummer is a total mess! Yet, surely it's incredibly simple? The Celts understood; it's the longest day, and therefore a day for worshipping sun and heat. In which case, why is Beltane the modern fire festival, and Midsummer about... nature spirits like the Oak and Holly King? It's a rich topic, we hope you enjoy our chat about it, and that you also like Martin's story written specially for the episode, "John Barleycorn." Like the folk song says, we all drink his blood and know that he must die! The Three Ravens is an English Myth and Folklore podcast hosted by award-winning writers Martin Vaux and Eleanor Conlon.Released on Mondays, each weekly episode focuses on one of England's 39 historic counties, exploring the history, folklore and traditions of the area, from ghosts and mermaids to mythical monsters, half-forgotten heroes, bloody legends, and much, much more. Then, and most importantly, the pair take turns to tell a new version of an ancient story from that county - all before discussing what that tale might mean, where it might have come from, and the truths it reveals about England's hidden past...Bonus Episodes are released on Thursdays (Magic and Medicines about folk remedies and arcane spells, Three Ravens Bestiary about cryptids and mythical creatures, Dying Arts about endangered heritage crafts, and Something Wicked about folkloric true crime from across history) plus Local Legends episodes on Saturdays - interviews with acclaimed authors, folklorists, podcasters and historians with unique perspectives on that week's county. With a range of exclusive content on Patreon, too, including audio ghost tours, the Three Ravens Newsletter, and monthly Three Ravens Film Club episodes about folk horror films from across the decades, why not join us around the campfire and listen in?Learn more at www.threeravenspodcast.com, join our Patreon at www.patreon.com/threeravenspodcast, and find links to our social media channels here: https://linktr.ee/threeravenspodcast Hosted on Acast.
