Send in your music story!British punk bite, modern pop-punk shine, and a whole lot of heart—Gold State drop in to talk craft, culture, and the chaos of building a band that actually stands out. We kick off with their UK DNA—Sex Pistols attitude, Blur-era swagger—and how that merges with American-leaning tones to create a mid-forward wall of guitars that still leaves space for sky-high vocals. Ben walks us through a collaborative writing process powered by co-writer Danny: Deep End arrived nearly in his voice, Love Bomb came to life as a cheeky “breaking news” concept, and Bad Blood found its chorus under studio fire, escalated by Bronny's feature and big gang vocals. Nothing To Lose embraces a modern edge with a monologue captured on an iPhone and lyrical brush-ups done alongside Bowling For Soup's Jarrett Reddick. If you've ever wondered whether music videos still matter, their answer is a firm yes. The band treats every video as a live-show invitation, proving story beats budget when the concept is tight and the energy is real. We get practical about phones, compact cameras, and getting over yourself on camera, then explore how social media flips the old playbook: build an audience first, tour smarter later. There's a candid reckoning with trends vs originality, the rise of personality-driven fandom, and why authenticity outlasts gimmicks.Gearheads and nostalgics get fed too. James breaks down the blend of Mesa and Soldano tones, hard-panned and EQ'd for bite, and gives love to Gordon Smith guitars for pro quality without the price gouge. We trade Blink-182 takes—California stans welcome—reflect on Box Car Racer and Angels & Airwaves, and spotlight how vocal range and arrangement make choruses hit. We even veer into haunted dolls, skeptics vs believers, and why a good story still rules the algorithm.Hit play for candid lessons on songwriting, branding, DIY visuals, and building momentum without losing your voice. If you vibe with British punk charisma and clean, modern hooks, you'll leave with new tracks to queue and tactics to steal. Enjoyed the hang? In this sobering and timely message, Pastor shares from Psalm 23 and exposes the growing dangers of spiritual mixtures, artificial faith, and deceptive teachings infiltrating the body of Christ. We live in an age where everything is becoming artificial—including, for many, their spiritual life. This message urges believers to return to the purity of God's Word, the safety of godly community, and the covering of the Good Shepherd who protects, guides, and feeds His sheep. If you've been feeling pulled, confused, spiritually drained, or exposed to unhealthy influences, this message will bring clarity, correction, protection, and deep encouragement.
God's unchanging character is seen when He says He is our Provider — Jehovah Jireh. Drawing from Psalm 23, the life of Abraham, and real stories of God's faithfulness, this sermon invites us to rediscover the God who “sees to it” in every season of life.We are reminded that God provides in four ways:1️⃣ By His hand — through miracles and the supernatural2️⃣ By the hand of others — through the generosity and obedience of His people3️⃣ By the work of our own hands — the strength, ideas, and opportunities He gives4️⃣ Even by the hands of our enemies — turning what was meant for harm into blessingWhether you're walking through a valley, waiting on a promise, or wrestling with unmet longings, this message calls you to trust the Good Shepherd who leads, protects, restores, and provides.
In this powerful message, Pastor Tony launches our new series “The Good Shepherd” — exploring what it truly means to know Jesus not just as Saviour, but as the Shepherd who leads, protects, and calls us by name. From John 10, we see Jesus declare, “I am the good shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep.”This sermon reminds us that:We are led by voice, not by voices — in a world full of noise and confusion, only the Shepherd's voice brings peace, truth, and direction. The Good Shepherd never abandons His sheep — even when we wander or feel broken, He draws us near, restores us, and makes us whole again.True disciples recognize His voice, follow His leading, and rest in the assurance that we are never alone.
In this powerful and practical message, Pastor Tony shares biblical truth about money, stewardship, and eternal perspective. Drawing from Matthew 6:19–21 and Luke 16:9–11, we're reminded that our treasure reveals where our heart truly lies — and that earthly wealth is temporary, but eternal riches last forever.Pastor Tony challenges us to:Live with generosity and compassionBe faithful even in persecutionServe others humblyWalk in obedience and godlinessYou can't take your money with you when you leave this world — but you can send it ahead by investing in people, in God's mission, and in things that last forever.
In this powerful message from 2 Peter 1, we are called to recalibrate our lives around the Word of God and grow in the virtues that lead to spiritual maturity. Peter, nearing the end of his life, urges believers to remain steadfast, to hear the present truth of what the Spirit is saying, and to pursue the qualities that confirm our calling and election in Christ. This sermon challenges us to move beyond spiritual immaturity and complacency, reminding us that faith is just the starting point. True discipleship requires perseverance, self-control, godliness, brotherly kindness, and ultimately, agape love.Be encouraged to feed yourself with God's Word, surrender fully to Him, and walk in love—the very nature of God—so the world will know we are His disciples.
This Sunday, Pastor Tony invited us into a family chat to talk about the fallout after the Charlie Kirk assassination. In this message, he talks about what it truly means to be spiritual versus carnal believers. ⁉️Are we representing Christ to the people, or are we representing the people to Christ?⁉️In a culture filled with sound bites, division, and offence, this sermon challenges us to rise above carnality and walk in the Spirit of Christ. Pastor addresses recent events, the tension of differing opinions, and the responsibility we carry as believers to be salt and light in a world desperate for truth.Through honest reflection, biblical teaching, and practical wisdom, we are reminded that:
In this powerful message, Pastor unpacks what it means to tune our spiritual frequency back to God. Drawing from 2 Peter 1, this sermon emphasizes the “growth ladder” of faith—adding virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and ultimately love. Pastor challenges us to recalibrate our spiritual lives, reminding us that true faith is not passive but requires intentional habits, moral excellence, and daily alignment with Christ.Through real-life stories, biblical teaching, and practical steps (like building prayer routines and immersing ourselves in Scripture), this message calls believers to move from spiritual stagnation to fruitfulness, from distraction to focus, and from compromise to genuine devotion. The central truth is clear: a growing Christian life leads to fruitfulness, while neglect leads to spiritual blindness.Don't forget to like and subscribe! #sermon #sundaymessage
In this message from our Villains of the Faith series, we take a closer look at Korah's rebellion—a powerful warning against pride, envy, and rejecting God's authority. Discover how this story challenges us to examine our own hearts, choose humility over arrogance, and remain faithful to God's calling. What can we learn from one of Scripture's most dangerous acts of defiance? Join us as we unpack the lessons from Korah's fall.
In this sermon, we explore the book of Jude, which warns against those who have a "taste" for things other than God. Jude highlights three Old Testament figures, with a special focus on Balaam, a prophet who could hear from God but was corrupted by greed.Though hired to curse the Israelites, Balaam was only able to bless them. Motivated by a reward, he instead advised the enemy king to seduce the Israelites, causing them to break their covenant with God and bring a plague upon themselves. This story serves as a powerful reminder that the greatest threats often come from within. The sermon challenges us to fight for our faith and not let a "taste" for money or power compromise our integrity. We are encouraged to choose righteousness over material reward, even if it means losing out in the short term, because our true treasure is found elsewhere.#sundayservice #sermon #villain

In this sermon, we explore the powerful message of reconciliation with God. We delve into the idea that God has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus and given us the "ministry of reconciliation".We discuss how this mission, while seemingly impossible in our own strength, becomes possible through the Holy Spirit's empowerment. We are not alone; God has sent someone just like Jesus to be with us.We also differentiate between the "gospel of salvation" and the "gospel of the Kingdom," emphasizing that salvation is merely the starting point. Finally, we highlight the ABCs of this mission:Accept the Mission: Our salvation is not private; we must embrace the responsibility of reconciliation.Believe the Mission: We must genuinely believe that Jesus is the only way, truth, and life.Carry Out the Mission: We are called to live out this mission daily, acting as ambassadors for Christ in a world desperately searching for answers. We are simply passing through, our job is to bring as many people with us as possible.

Join us as we dive into the powerful gifts of the Spirit: the Word of Wisdom & the Word of Knowledge!
In this powerful sermon, delve into the spiritual gift of speaking in tongues and its interpretation. This isn't something we create, but rather a gift bestowed by the Spirit of God.This message emphasizes that the initial outpouring of Pentecost, where 120 people in the upper room spoke in tongues, was the first manifestation the Spirit of God gave. This included both known and unknown languages, as evidenced by devout men from various places understanding these "uneducated people" speaking in their native tongues. The gift of tongues is described as a "hotline of the spirit" , a language that bypasses the cognitive mind, allowing direct communication between God's Spirit and ours. It's a way to pray prayers that one might not in their cognitive mind, as the spirit knows what is needed. The purpose of tongues is for:Personal edification Spirit-led prayer and worship A sign to the unbeliever Evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit An expression of surrender and praise #speakingintounges #holyspirit #pentecost
In this powerful sermon, we continue our journey on the gifts of the Spirit, delving into the gift of prophecy and the discernment of spirits. We explore the differences between natural abilities, acquired skills, and the supernatural gifts bestowed by the Holy Spirit. Hear about how to recognize and distinguish between the Spirit of God, the human spirit, angelic beings, and demonic entities. Discover why these gifts are crucial for believers today and how they empower us to be witnesses of Jesus' resurrection and carry out His mission. The purpose of spiritual gifts: to be witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus.Key takeaways:Understanding the gifts of the Spirit as outlined in Romans, Corinthians, and Ephesians. The distinction between the gift of prophecy and the office of a prophet.Real-life examples of the gift of prophecy in action. The importance of discerning spirits and testing every spirit.Recognizing the spiritual world we live in and the deceptive tactics of the enemy.
This Sunday, join us as we delve into "The Spiritual Gifts for the Profit of All," a powerful sermon exploring the Holy Spirit's gifts as detailed in 1 Corinthians 12. This message highlights that these spiritual gifts are given for the "profit of all," for the benefit and good of everyone in the body of Christ. We'll explore the "power gifts": the gift of faith, the working of miracles, and the gifts of healing. The gift of faith, as you'll learn, is a supernatural ability to trust God for extraordinary outcomes, even when circumstances seem impossible. You'll hear a powerful testimony of healing through this gift, demonstrating that God can work even when human faith is lacking. We encourage you to step out in faith and activate these gifts in your life. God desires to demonstrate His power and glory through you, and as we often say, this is simply "normal Christianity". Come and discover how you can be used by God to bring His miraculous power to the world!#SpiritualGifts #PowerGifts #GiftOfFaith #Miracles #Healings #HolySpirit #ChurchSermon #DivinePower #NormalChristianity

On this episode, Rhett and Zach discuss the relationship that they each have with the guitar at this point in their careers. Making a living doing the thing you love is great—in fact, it's something that so many players aspire to. But it changes the relationship between player and instrument when the instrument is a source of work. How do they stay excited about their work? And how do they get excited when they're in a lull? What keeps their creativity flowing? These are big questions, but our hosts are both having their own renaissances with their guitars. And—surprise!—it's because they've both come into some new key pieces of gear.Zach reports that he has been rippin' totally sweet Metallica licks on his sick new ESP LTD Kirk Hammett Signature Series KH-602. He's a longtime fan of the band—and has conveniently fallen back in love with Kill 'Em All and Ride the Lightning—and says he's wanted a Hammett signature guitar for his entire guitar-playing life. When he saw this one at Nashville's Guitars To Be Played, he fell in love with everything, from the skull and crossbones fret markers to the Floyd Rose. And you know what? The Floyd Rose isn't hard to set up. This guitar, Zach says, is kickstarting his “love of the guitar again.”Meanwhile, Rhett has been enjoying his new Soldano SLO-100 head and matching 4x12 cabinet, even if he does keep the cab a few flights below his control room. He's stoked about the story of Soldano, who he admires for being one of the early boutique amp builders, and has been playing this new 100-watter all week. When it's time to dip a rig, it's hard to find any faults. No spoilers, but it's a nice one (and an easy gig load). And in the shill zone, Zach talks about the importance of running a brown box for owners of older amps and talks briefly about the difference between the Brown Box and a Variac.Subscribe, like, and leave us a commentSign up on our mailing list: http://eepurl.com/iaCee5Support us on Patreon for access to our discord server and other perks! https://www.patreon.com/dippedintoneMERCH: https://teespring.com/stores/dipped-in-toneFollow us on Instagram: https://instagram.com/dippedintone Dipped in Tone is:Rhett Shull https://www.rhettshull.com/Zach Broyles / Mythos Pedals https://mythospedals.comPremier Guitar https://www.premierguitar.com/
