PSG took on Strasbourg with a heavily rotated squad after the international break and kept the three points in the city of lights ahead of the UEFA Champions League night against PSV Eindhoven and later in the week, a trip to south to play Le Classique at the Stade Velodrome. Needles to say, both matches are must-win! We have some news about extensions and other talking points in this show and we also get an update of the latest chaos in the PSG women's team.
Guest: Craig Ray joins John Maytham to discuss the match between South Africa and France that is to take place on Saturday at Marseille's Stade Velodrome. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Leo Cullen's Leinster take on Ronan O'Gara's La Rochelle at Stade Velodrome in Marseille in the Heineken Champion's Cup Final this afternoon and so to look ahead to what promises to be a colossal match, Bobby is joined by Off the Ball's Will O'Callaghan to get his predictions.

The Nigeria Football Federation announced the Super Eagles squad list for the friendly games taking place in the USA against Mexico at the AT&T stadium in Texas on Sunday May 29th and against Ecuador on Friday June 3rd taking place at the Red Bull Arena in New Jersey including a recall for Cyriel Dessers & a first call up for Royal Antwerp's Alhassan Yusuf. The NFF also called up 8 home based players but surprisingly excluded the Bundesliga pair of Taiwo Awoniyi & Kevin Akpoguma although we anticipate a separate list to be released in the next fortnight for the AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone on June 9th and Sao Tome on June 13th. I also ran through how our Super Eagles players performed in the top European leagues over the past week including Zaidu Sanusi having the best day of his career scoring the winning goal in stoppage time for Porto away to Benfica over the weekend to clinch the Portuguese league title in style! In France, Moses Simon's Nantes won their first trophy in 21 years by beating Nice in the French Cup final! In European football news, Rangers Joe Aribo, Calvin Bassey & Leon Balogun will contest the Europa League final against Eintracht Frankfurt after dramatically beating Leipzig on Thursday 3-1 at home in the semi-final 2nd leg at Ibrox after losing the 1st leg 1-0 and they now have a chance to secure both a prestigious trophy and Champions League football for next season if they win the final. Feyenoord & Cyriel Dessers will also be competing in a European final for the UEFA Conference league against Jose Mourinho's Roma after beating Marseille 3-2 on aggregate following a 0-0 draw at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille on Thursday! He then followed that up with a brace in Sunday in a 2-2 draw at home against 2nd place PSV Eindhoven In international news, the NFF have been ordered by FIFA to pay Gernot Rohr the final sum of his contract (reportedly $377,879.46) which was terminated early late last year prior to the January Africa Cup of Nations I then rounded up with the Ones to Watch over this week Check out our Youtube Channel where you can also watch the episode: https://bit.ly/NigeriaFootballWeekly Twitter - https://twitter.com/NFWPod Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/nigeriafootballweekly/ Facebook page Link - https://www.facebook.com/NigeriaFootballWeekly Email - nigeriafootballweekly@gmail.com Anchor Link: https://anchor.fm/nigeriafootballweekly Podfollow: https://podfollow.com/nigeria-football-weekly --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/nigeriafootballweekly/message
It's a first in the recent history of Footy on the Med: John and Alex arrive at a game before kick-off. This small but significant success was due not to a new-found badge of organisational excellence but a simple fact: The Navigator was back in town. Thanks to The Navigator's eponymous skills, there was even time for pizza at Un Jardin de Ville before slick-passing, high-flying Marseille took on mid-table but in form Brest at the magnificent Stade Velodrome. The game is FOTM's highlight so far, with a pumping, high-octane atmosphere throughout, brilliant football by both sides and even some commentary in French from Estate Agent Eric. It ended 2-1 to Brest - the Brittany's side's sixth win in a row - making for a memorable day out in the city of Jean-Claude Izzo. Recorded at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille on Saturday 4 December 2021. Find out more on FootyOnTheMed.com
Tom Canton is joined by French Football expert Jeremy Smith to discuss both William Saliba and Matteo Guendouzi. With both on loan in Ligue 1 at Marseille, Jeremy explains how both have been getting on under Jorge Sampaoli at Stade Velodrome. Arsenal's signing of Ben White is evaluated given Saliba's showings as well as his concentration and determination to win a place in Mikel Arteta's team. Plus, Guendouzi's antics whilst out on loan are also analysed. Enjoy.

The boys pore over the Champions League draw, including whether Roma will fancy themselves against Barcelona and the chances of a successful revenge mission for Juventus against Real Madrid. After that, there's the five-goal thriller that Marseille were on the wrong end of at the Stade Velodrome, which naturally included some handbags. In the second half we take a moment to appreciate Mauro Icardi's destruction of Sampdoria in their own backyard, find out what's been eating Ivan Perisic, and glory in everyone's favourite plucky nephew RB Leipzig's beating of big, scary uncle Bayern Munich.Don't forget to check out our Mailbag show every Saturday, and to have an email read out on that one it's: show@otcpod.com ***Please take the time to rate and review us on iTunes or wherever you get your pods. Ugo Monye and Lawrence Dallaglio preview the latest round of the Six Nations Championship that will see Scotland tackle England at Murrayfield, Ireland entertain Wales at the Aviva Stadium and France play host to Italy at the Stade Velodrome.
