The Sports Experience Podcast with Chris Quinn and Dominic DiTolla
Episode 288 of “The Sports Experience Podcast” is here & we're continuing our block on some of the NFL's best postseason games of all time.In this episode we're discussing the 1999 AFC Wild Card game between the Buffalo Bills and the Tennessee Titans. In a game which featured two of the most physical defenses in the AFC, the Nashville crowd got their money's worth.Tennessee employed a ground and pound offensive strategy with running back Eddie George and a relentless pass rush led by rookie Jevon Kearse to race out to a 12-0 Halftime lead.Buffalo found their offensive stride in the second half with backup quarterback Rob Johnson and eventually took a 13-12 lead in the fourth quarter on the strength of two touchdown drives.Tennessee then converted a go-ahead field goal with 1:48 to go which appeared to have won them the game. Yet after a long kickoff return, Buffalo was able to get Steve Christie into field goal range where he drilled a 41 yard field goal with 20 seconds to go.All seemed lost for Tennessee until a perfectly executed kickoff return which featured a controversial across the field lateral from Frank Wychek to Kevin Dyson allowed Dyson to score the game-winning touchdown with 16 seconds to play!Connect with us on Instagram!Chris Quinn: @cquinncomedyDominic DiTolla: @ditolladominicProducer: @ty_englestudioInstagram: @thesportsexperiencepodcastIf you enjoy this podcast, please help support us @:https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/the-sports-experience-pod/support#sportspodcast#comedypodcast #buffalobills#tennesseetitans

Bruce Edgerly or “Edge” as he's fondly known is one of the only ski entrepreneurs I know to sell his company, get rich, and still be involved in the day-to-day of the business. I haven't had anyone on the podcast with that type of story and Edge is also the only Ivy League guy I've had on the show. But Edge is just a dirtbag kayaker and skier who parlayed the contacts he made while writing for Powder Magazine and Larry Flint into a guerilla marketing machine that would drive the company he and his partner started, BCA, to the forefront of the industry. This is the ski version of the Steve Jobs story…but with a lot more personality. Steve Christie asks Inappropriate Questions, and they are awesome. Machetes, denim hotpants and colourful macs abound as we head off to camp, celebrating our 13th episode in style with Sean S. Cunningham’s cult slasher classic. Coming along for the ride and whacking the bluegrass on the truck stereo this time are special guests Dom and Conor, who have more than a few good (and bad) things to say about the first instalment in arguably the biggest horror franchise of all time. Savini’s FX, Manfredini’s music, Steve Christie’s alarming similarities with the son of God: no lakeside stone is left unturned as we dissect and discuss the film that brought Jason Voorheese to the big screen. Along with a selection of ‘70s panties, checked shirts and a US Monopoly board, in our rolled-up sleeping bags this episode we manage to smuggle Cobra lager, Tiger beer, Old Thumper, Hobgoblin, Brooklyn lager, Biere D’Or, Flying Dog’s Raging Bitch Belgian IPA, Mountain Livin’ Pale Ale and of course, Crazy Ralph’s favourite: Doom Bar. Now we just need to see whether Marcie left any of that grass… *WSD official footnote – in the episode, Iain erroneously claims Friday the 13th was never on a DPP Section 3 list in the UK, when in fact both it and its sequel were. What a dick.
