The message from Ynon Kreiz's keynote Q&A at the Variety Entertainment & Technology Summit is that while "Barbie" may be a huge opening salvo in his plan to turn toy brands into media IP, it's just the beginning of a versatile long-term strategy that will extend far beyond the cinema to TV and gaming for the likes of "Monster High" and "Hot Wheels" See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Dr. Privitera is Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), and was Medical Director, Medical Faculty and Clinician Wellness Program 2015-2022, which worked on individual and organizational interventions to reduce clinician burnout. For the last 12 years he has taken a biopsychosocial approach to understand how the organization/system effects on clinicians and patients can have shared mechanisms which influence risk of burnout, latent medical error and conditions for workplace violence. He received a Patient Safety Award in 2018 from his malpractice carrier MCIC. The goal of this project was to deliver Human Factor-Based Leadership (HFBL) curriculum that integrates patient safety and clinician wellbeing efforts by leadership understanding of basic human factors and ergonomics (HFE) science applied in healthcare systems. This project helped leaders identify and reduce latent conditions in healthcare systems that contribute to error and clinician burnout. He was Chair 2015-2019, MSSNY Task Force on Physician Stress and Burnout and stepped down to focus upon making better known the connection of clinician wellbeing to patient wellbeing. He currently Co-Chairs Monroe County Medical Society Wellness Committee. He edited a multiauthored text Workplace Violence in Mental and General Healthcare Settings that received the 2012 Manfred Guttmacher Award for literature in forensic psychiatry from American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law (AAPL), a division of American Psychiatric Association. He was on the international Scientific Committee for Violence in the Health Sector 2014-2016 through Oud Consultancy. Dr. Privitera was a member of the Federation of State Medical Boards Task Force on physician burnout, which led to their 2018 national policy recommendations of limiting state board physician mental health questions to current impairment and not about past psychiatric history, to help encourage physicians to seek help and avoid stigma. He has presented on Human factor-Based Leadership at the International Symposium of Human Factors and Ergonomics (HFE) in Healthcare, IHI Patient Safety Congress, AHA Leadership Summit and 2022 Healthcare Burnout Symposiums in San Francisco and New York City. This HFE work led to invitations for AHA, AMA webinar presentations and to serve as a panel participant on 2022 World Patient Safety, Science and Technology Summit. Since July, 2022 he is Faculty of Institute for Healthcare Improvement in Boston, for Workplace Change Collaborative HRSA Grant, derived from the recently passed Lorna Breen Act to find ways to help the mental health and wellbeing of clinicians. He was a member, NIOSH Office for Total Worker Health® and the NIOSH Healthy Work Design and Well-Being Program: Healthy Work Design Council in 2020. He has written in publications of Physician Leadership Journal, The Joint Commission, American Hospital Association, National Patient Safety Foundation, Medscape, Journal of Hospital Administration and Journal of Legal Medicine on clinician burnout.Website: www.MichaelRPriviteraMD.com Link to claim CME credit: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3DXCFW3CME credit is available for up to 3 years after the stated release dateContact CEOD@bmhcc.org if you have any questions about claiming credit.

What we're building is more than that. We're building a tech community here, and that's what I love being a part of.” - Kris Adams, (4:58)“It's important for us to highlight [Bentonville and Northwest Arkansas], but it's really for the tech community because you might think you need to relocate to Silicon Valley or New York City…but in Northwest Arkansas you can enjoy the trails and the art and the local culture that you can't find anywhere else. So it's important to tell that story as part of the Tech Summit.” - Kris Adams, (7:21)“There's a great quality of life here. There are places you can go and have office space available. There's trails and bike paths to clear your head and get a fresh perspective. There's just a lot of great reasons to be here in Northwest Arkansas, and anyone launching their company or looking to relocate should check us out here.” - Kris Adams, (26:52)

Imaginary Ventures' Natalie Massenet, and Natasha Franck, founder of digital ID-maker Eon join BoF technology correspondent Marc Bain to discuss Eon, how the technology works and highlight the opportunities digital IDs could create for fashion. Each interaction a brand has with a consumer typically ends when a product is sold. Digital IDs have the potential to extend that exchange, integrating digital initiatives with products' physical lives. A a flock of start-ups and fashion power brokers want every item of clothing, watch or handbag to have a digital twin, meaning, QR code-enabled garments that lead to a website packed with information such as an item's material breakdown or suggestions on how to style it. It's a concept that is well-established in the automobile industry and a few other sectors, but has yet to gain traction in fashion. Proponents believe it could unlock enormous potential for consumers and brands.  “It's moving from this very transactional relationship that brands have with customers into this service-based continuous relationship between brands and customers,” said Natasha Franck, founder and chief executive of Imaginary Ventures-backed digital ID-maker Eon at BoF's Technology Summit. Key Insights: Eon makes digital twins of physical products in the cloud based on information embedded in items using a NFC chip, RFID tag or QR code for partners including H&M, Gabriela Hearst and Zalando.  Massenet compares Eon's work to building railroads at the beginning of the industrial revolution. The tracks are still being laid, but she says digital IDs have the potential to drive more connections and commerce.  Digital IDs represent a first step toward connecting consumers with web3 initiatives like the metaverse, could enable more seamless reselling and re-ordering as well as allow brands and influencers to collect royalties on sales. Additional Resources: The Year Ahead: What Product Passports Will Do for Brands: Brands are adopting new technologies that store and share product information to improve authentication, provide transparency and boost consumer trust. However, for “product passports” to truly gain traction, businesses must coalesce around common standards and engage with pilot projects at scale. What Digital IDs Can Do for Fashion: Proponents of the effort to give every item its own digital identity say they'll unlock numerous benefits for brands and shoppers alike. But for these IDs to work it will require overcoming some big obstacles first. Is Fashion Ready to Put Its Supply Chain on the Blockchain?: H&M and Kering are among the fashion players that have recently launched pilot programmes to trace their supply chains using blockchain technology.
