Aser and Megan were excited to have the chance to talk to Todd Crapper about his kickstarter for Vision Layers, and what it means for the future of RPG PDF accessibility. Vision Layers adds layers to PDFs to allow for the user to change the font, adjust colors, and make the document more screen reader friendly, while still only releasing one file. Todd has teamed up with a huge variety of publishers for an initial release; with Timewatch from Pelgrane, CAPERS from Nerd Burger Games, Fate Condensed from Evil Hat, and Ninja Crusade from Third Eye Games already unlocked. Please give this kickstarter a look and your support to show publishers that there is an interest in accessibility! We have really high hopes of seeing this method used in all RPG books in the future. Vision Layers is running until December 12! Broken Ruler Games
In this episode we talk to Prince historian and YouTuber, Prince's Friend! Fans of the show know about Jason's love of Prince so he was thrilled to have Prince's Friend on. They talk about their love of Prince, why Eloy got into making his page, how he comes up with videos, and more! Happy Friday, my friends! We are at the final pre-Gen Con episode of the Indiana Geeking Podcast! Over the last couple of weeks, we've talked with local game makers, and game accessory designers, and then to wrap it up, I have a special treat! John Kennedy is a local freelance game designer, who has worked with game studios like Kenzer & Company, Third Eye Games, and Modiphius! You may have played some of his work, as a matter of fact! Either way, John is a great local Geek, who graciously dropped by the Geek Cave last week, tried to lure away the Pibble, and talked with me about how he got started on game design, discuss Impostor Syndrome, talk about racism in Transformers, and more! We had a longer-than-usual conversation, but we had fun, and I didn't feel like trimming any of it out! So, sit back, and enjoy the next ninety-six minutes of Geekery!
