In this episode of The Bald Brad Show, the woke mob is pushing, yet again, that mathematics is racist. In short, two plus two equals racist. A teacher's retreat in Ontario, Canada, is inviting educators in math to an event called "Exploring the powers and potential of Indigenous knowledge systems in mathematics," according to the Post Millennial and promotional images of the event. The two-day retreat promises teachers will "deepen their understanding of incorporating Indigenous mathematics systems to enhance - and transform - the teaching and learning of mathematics for all students." The session will explore how “mathematics, along with other subjects, are not exempt from colonial bias and harmful practices that lead to inequities in student achievement.” The itinerary also promises to share tips and strategies on indigenous knowledge without "appropriating, minimizing, or tokenizing." The "about" section reads, “Indigenous knowledge systems, pedagogies, and methodologies can enhance and support the teaching and learning of mathematical concepts,” including that “educational spaces can uplift Indigenous knowledge systems and create transformative learning for all students.” A new math curriculum for Ontario's educational system in 2021 stated, “Mathematics has been used to normalize racism and marginalization of non-Eurocentric mathematical knowledges, and a decolonial, anti-racist approach to mathematics education makes visible its historical roots and social constructions.” Furthermore, On Tuesday, DC Comics released an issue featuring a “pregnant” Joker who “births” a son. The son, a mud monster who Joker vomits into existence, transforms into a smaller carbon copy of the Joker reminiscent of an Austin Powers-sequel Mini-Me trope. The storyline appeared as a backup feature in the fourth book in the series, “The Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing.” It appears that the Joker was “impregnated” by a nemesis who he became enamored with: the female magician Zatanna. She curses the Joker, proclaiming that no one else could have his baby as she knocks him into a mud puddle. While Zatanna intended for the spell to ensure he never had children, it inadvertently “impregnated” the Joker.

In his book 1984 Orwell said “In the end the Party would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it.” In what appears to be a case of life imitating art, we now have a PhD. student at Harvard claiming that two plus two can equal five. I don't know that much about Talal outside that he is involved in the hedge fund business in Europe, really enjoys playing poker and is very active in the philanthropy world. Talal plays everything from the 300k Super High Roller Bowl to the low buyin events during SCOOP season on Pokerstars. Talal has posted many insightful things on the TwoPlusTwo message board over the years pertaining to the recent Pokerstars changes and other online poker related happenings. Joshua 'jdawg91' Hoesel is a 24 year old US born SNG pro that has resided in Rosarito Beach, Mexico since November, 2011, and plays on PokerStars as "slayerv1fan". He has achieved SuperNova Elite+ four years straight, playing mostly midstakes to nosebleed hyper-turbo SNGs. In that time he has accumulated over 7 million VPPs, and will likely become the youngest player to earn 10 million lifetime VPPs on Pokerstars, which has currently only been achieved by four players. Having faced many ups and downs over the course of his career, most of which has been publicly recorded in his yearly blog threads on the TwoPlusTwo forums, he is someone to be looked up to for overcoming adversity and having the mental capacity to always strive to improve on and off the tables. Patrick “Pads1161” Leonard is a MTT pro with over 2M in online earnings. He also coaches and runs a very successful MTT staking group. He's twice reached the #1 spot in the PocketFives Online MTT Rankings, and has accomplished the rare feat of final tabling every PokerStars Sunday Major. His love for creating media led him to get a Journalism major at the University of Sheffield, and he keeps that passion alive by blogging, podcasting and creating videos. His personal blog thread on the TwoPlusTwo forums is incredibly popular, with almost 270,000 views at the time of this recording. I have on Adam Altwies who is in charge (the end boss) of the Aria Poker room in Las Vegas and Steven Mcloughlin aka TT over on TwoPlusTwo. I met these guys at the American Poker conference earlier this year and had a chance to hear Adam talk on one of the panels and thought he was great and talked some strategy without really giving away secrets to why they have had so much success. I talked with them after the panel and found out Adam was a big fan of the podcast. Steven has been active on the TwoPlusTwo forums for years as TT, playing poker himself and also very active on the business side of the poker world. He currently works with PokerTracker. I thought this episode was a great look at how two guys very involved in poker but on the other side of things handle themselves in a discussion. Much more professional and polished then we are used to here. You will see that I am surprised at just how straight edged they were in this discussion but that is to be expected. My conversations with them outside of the podcast tend to be very different in nature :) Enjoy!
