We're knee deep in our 90's PC Game season: Now That's What I Call PC Games, but today also feels like a sort of conclusion of a trilogy. You can draw a direct line from Doom, through Quake, and end up at Half-Life and tell a complete story, and today we finish that story. Valve changed the way many people think about story in games and "immersion," but how does it feel to return to that sense of mind 25 years later? Also why aren't Valve games good on Valve's Steam Deck?? Raef "Hollywood" Granger does a Hollywood style review on Valve's Steam Deck. And talks about a few of the Steam games he has been playing on it." Perhaps the biggest release of the entire year is finally here! @TheOuterhaven's Scott Adams (find him on Twitter: https://twitter.com/sithscott) joins Sean to discuss his first impressions of Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, thoughts on what's being done to all of the Korok's, and of course if this is the correct way forward for Link and company in the future. Although there are some other Nintendo news bits to get to, The EU handed down their decision in the Microsoft Activision-Blizzard Deal and it has passed with a few remedies, one of them is that Microsoft must provide access to ABK titles to any and all Cloud streaming companies for at least the initial 10 years. Does this provide an avenue to pass the deal in the USA and UK? What did the CMA have to say? And will Cloud Gaming even matter in 10 years anyway? Speaking of new gaming habits, Nintendo's Switch and Valve's Steam Deck have spurred quite a few competitors, but Asus ROG Ally looks to perhaps be the closest one yet, and it is releasing June 13. Although it carries a hefty $699 price tag, if it succeeds, could it lead to a major adoption of Portable Gaming devices? Would Sony or Microsoft benefit from this? And could it really be in for a fight with the Steam Deck? Plus, learn about Scott's gaming origins and Our Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Thoughts, Mortal Kombat 1 is a thing, with more game delays, and Scott and Sean have been playing other games too, such as Bat Boy, Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord, and more! 2022 Has its first blockbuster weekend with The Batman wreaking havoc at the worldwide box office but Josh and Gerald contemplate how (or if) this version of the Caped Crusader will become a greater part of the DC Universe with Flashpoint on the horizon. Gerald also has a review of The Boys Present: Diabolical which is Amazon Prime's animated M-Rated anthology located in the realm of the Vought universe. The guys share thoughts once again on Valve's Steam Deck and now that some pre-orders are being filled, is this truly a must-have product for PC gamers? Plus is it time to get excited over an I Am Legend sequel that's on the way and is Disney Plus having plans of an add-supported pay tier to its subscription offerings later this year a good thing for consumers? Apple's March 8 event is just around the corner, and the company is rumored to announce a few new products. Valve's Steam Deck is making its way into the hands of pre-order customers and reviewers. Twitter makes its fact-checking service, Birdwatch, available to more people. Jason reviews the OnePlus Buds Z2 wireless earbuds. First, Rene Ritchie of YouTube.com/reneritchie stops by to give us a preview of Apple's March 8 "Peek Performance" event. The company is expected to announce a new iPhone SE, a new iPad, and some new Macs. Then, The Verge's Sean Hollister goes hands-on with Valve's Steam Deck handheld gaming console. Hollister discusses the features and games available on the console and shares his thoughts on its bugs and patches. Then, Mikah discusses Twitter's Birdwatch fact-checking service. The social media company has randomly rolled out the ability to view notes left by fact-checkers and the move sparks a conversation about tech companies asking for free labor from their users. Lastly, Jason reviews the OnePlus Buds Z2 wireless earbuds. For $100, the true-wireless earbuds tout quite a few features typically found in higher-cost earbuds.
