Have we really done 300 episodes of this podcast? We have now! To mark the occasion, we're taking a look back at a lot of the things that have changed in the tech world since we posted our first ep in September 2019. Turns out, uh, a lot has happened since then, from scammy Valley bros pivoting through crypto, NFTs, and AI, to streaming services going from beloved to reviled, electric vehicles actually becoming a practical thing, a lot of unsuccessful attempts to knock the dominant social platforms off their pedestals, handheld gaming becoming incredibly robust, and a bunch of other trends to consider. In this episode we welcome back YouTuber and retro gaming aficionado, Crazy Burger. Although perhaps best known as an Evercade reviewer and content creator, Crazy Burger has a decent sized retro gaming handheld collection, and has tinkered with devices and explored the emulation gaming scene over the years. Our objective in this episode is to answer the question: if you were to buy only one emulation-based handheld, what would it be? With brands like Anbernic, Miyoo, Retroid and Powkiddy pumping them out on a weekly basis, there is a baffling amount of choice. Our aim is to break down the hype and steer you in the right direction. We explore the pros and cons of emulation-based gaming, hop around the piracy issue, and cover common questions, like which operating system is best, and what do I get for my money? Crazy Burger also gives a quick verdict of the year so far for Blaze Entertainment and Evercade, comparing the platform with the handhelds we discuss on the show.
PlayStation handheld rumors are out. Also, we talk Ubisoft, Activision, Atari 2600+, AI does its things, and Nintendo fans do theirs. All that plus more this week on the Game Fix Show. Follow us @GameFixShow
This week, John kicks off NPC with a return to 1998, before the crew digs into 8BitDo's new Pro 3 controller, Thunderbolt 5 eGPU enclosures and docks, TrimUI's ponderous Smart Pro Mini, and Federico and John's first impressions of the MagicX Zero 40. Then, Brendon, John, and Federico bring a handheld they haven't used in a while back to the show, and as you might expect, Federico's choice was a bit of a surprise. Also available on YouTube here. Einfach so. Business as usual und dennoch erwähnenswert. This week while Delvin deals with a Opossum we talk about AMD FSR tech coming to PS5 Pro, Death Stranding 2's release trailer, some fun drama surrounding Ubisoft, and Xbox and their possible new hardware. All this and a whole hell of a lot more shenanigans on this episode of PSVG.No animals were harmed in the recording of this show but probably before. You gotta listen in...
In this laidback and feel-good episode, Karl & Will spotlight on the obscure but fantastic score to the DS game LovePlus. This score was first featured in last year's Handhelds-themed Show and Tell episode. Enjoy, and Happy late Valentine's Day!

In this episode the gang is joined by special guest Sean Hollister, Senior Editor from @TheVerge , to cover the continued craziness around these new GPU launches (price increases, stability issues, pre-ordering systems), new handheld coverage (Ayaneo 3, Lenovo Legion Go S, GPD Win Max 2) and more. CES was this weekend, but the big news were the leaks of the Nintendo Switch 2, which had not been formally announced at the time of reporting. Nintendo did, however, say that the Genki mockups shown at CES were not official. Meta is discontinuing their higher end Quest Pro headset, instead concentrating on the Quest 3 and Quest 3S line. Valve has announced that SteamOS is coming to other handhelds sooner than you think, with the Lenovo Legion Go S being the first device to get official support. Then we talk to Rob about other CES announcements, like a mini virtual pinball machine from My Arcade.
The Consumer Electronics Show for 2025 is behind us, yet the memories of tomorrow's tech remain. On deck for this CES recap are Popzara's Senior Tech Editor Herman Exum and techie noob Nate Evans to take listeners through this year's bits and bytes of what the future possibly holds for us. Sadly, while our favorite tech guest, Computer America's Ben Crossman may have been absent physically, but he was ever-present in spirit. While this year's extravaganza may have been more iterative than innovative, there was still plenty to see and chat about now that the (digital) dust has settled. AI may have dominated the showroom floor (and headlines), but that's not all! Crazy laptops, VR/AR headsets, faster monitors, stretchable screens, robot companions, cuddle bots, e-car updates, gaming handhelds, next-gen GPUs from Nvidia and AMD, cat accessories, salty spoons, and enough solar powered-goodness for everyone.
Jeff and Christian welcome Bailey Meyers from Giantbomb and Honest Game Trailers to the show this week to discuss another delay for the next Assassin's Creed, big news from CES including new game movies, new PC handhelds, and a new reason to throw your GPU in the garbage. The Playlist: Bailey: Tactical Breach Wizards, Balatro Christian: Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster, Skate City: New York Jeff: The Rangers in the South, Wayfinder 1.0, Path of Exile 2 Parting Gifts!

In the news: After almost a decade, No Man's Sky is finally positive on Steam reviews! Playstation might be interested in buying the company that owns From Software and a bunch of other studios and properties. They're also looking at making a new handheld. Again. Riot is planning to start banning people who stream their games for bad behavior outside of just streams/games.
