In this episode, Brandon chats about all of the new handhelds that have just landed in the office alongside all of the new releases coming out before the year's end.

Emotionale Achterbahnfahrt und Neustart Jacobson beschreibt die aktuelle Zeit als „Life is a Rollercoaster“. Nach der Absage von FM25 und dem großen Neustart mit FM26 erlebt das Team starke Höhen und Tiefen. Die Einführung der neuen Engine und Benutzeroberfläche ist für viele eine Herausforderung – besonders für Hardcore-Fans, die hunderte Stunden investiert haben und sich nun umgewöhnen müssen. FM26 ist laut Jacobson kein einfaches Update, sondern ein Reboot der Serie, vergleichbar mit einem neuen „Spider-Man“-Film. Neue Features und Gameplay-Philosophie Der FM26 führt ein überarbeitetes Taktiksystem mit und ohne Ballbesitz ein. Unter der Haube wurde die KI der Match Engine stark verbessert, um flexible Formationen realistisch darzustellen. Spieler, die taktisch Unsinn machen, werden nun bestraft – etwa durch schnelle Ermüdung oder Lücken im System. Ein Highlight ist der Taktik-Visualisierer, der Schwächen und Stärken in verschiedenen Zonen des Spielfelds sichtbar macht. Miles' persönliche Lieblingsfeatures im FM26: FMPedia – eine integrierte Wissensdatenbank mit Erklärungen und Links zu Spielsystemen, Savegame-Konvertierung aus älteren Teilen, Überarbeitete Controller-Unterstützung für PC, Konsolen und Handhelds, und ein komplett neues, intuitiveres UI-Design. Jacobson betont: Das Spiel soll sich „neu, aber vertraut“ anfühlen. Content-Updates und Langzeitstrategie Ein zentrales Thema sind die kostenlosen Content-Updates, die klassische Patches ersetzen. Diese bringen: Fehlerbehebungen und „Quality-of-Life“-Verbesserungen, später auch neue Inhalte wie Nationalmannschaften – erstmals mit offizieller FIFA-Lizenz. So werden die Weltmeisterschaften wie Premier League, Bundesliga und weitere Topligen mit echten TV-Grafiken integriert. Jacobson sieht den FM26 als Service-Spiel, das auch nach Release weiterentwickelt wird – mit klarer Roadmap und Community-Feedback als Grundlage. Erfolgsmessung und Community Erfolg misst das Studio nicht primär an Verkaufszahlen, sondern an Spielzeit und Spielerbindung. Beim FM24 waren zuletzt zwei Millionen aktive Spieler gleichzeitig aktiv – dieselbe Zahl wie zum Launch. Jacobson erwartet anfangs gemischte Reaktionen: Manche Fans werden sich über Änderungen beschweren, doch nach Monaten werde die Stimmung positiver sein. Wichtig sei, „dass die Leute das Spiel wirklich spielen und lieben“. Technischer Wandel: Wechsel zu Unity Der Wechsel auf die Unity-Engine bedeutete, 30 Jahre Erfahrung neu zu lernen. Inzwischen sieht das Team klare Vorteile: Designer können eigenständig am Football Manager arbeiten, Prototypen werden schneller umgesetzt, und UI-Probleme – etwa lange deutsche Wörter – lassen sich direkt beheben. Der Schritt war schwieriger als gedacht, aber essenziell, um die Basis für die nächsten 10 bis 20 Jahre zu legen. Lizenzen und Kooperationen Dank guter Beziehungen zu EA Sports konnte Sports Interactive exklusive Lizenzen nutzen – etwa für Frauenwettbewerbe. Jacobson betont: „Wir sind keine Rivalen, sondern respektvolle Kollegen.“ Mit offiziellen Lizenzen von FIFA, UEFA, Premier League, Bundesliga und Ligue 1 erreicht das Studio einen historischen Meilenstein. Zukunft des Studios und Jacobsons Rolle Jacobson reflektiert offen über seine Nachfolge. Er bereitet das Studio gezielt auf eine Zukunft ohne ihn vor: Verantwortung wird schrittweise an leitende Mitarbeiter übergeben. Sein Ziel: „Ich will, dass das Spiel noch in 50 oder 100 Jahren existiert.“ Der FM26 soll als Grundlage für die Zukunft dienen – ein Neubeginn, auf dem kommende Generationen aufbauen können. Mit beeindruckender Grafik, flüssigem Gameplay und spannenden Features ist es ein echtes Highlight und Grund genug, sich die Switch 2 zu holen! Von OpenMediaVault zurück zu Synology Trotz der OpenSource Lösung die mit OpenMediaVault verfügbar ist, wechselt Peppi wieder zurück zu Synology. Die Funktionsumfang und die Stabilität lassen leider immer noch zu Wünschen übrig. War's das jetzt? Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning setzt die spektakuläre Actionreihe mit gewohntem Tempo und atemberaubenden Stunts fort. Zwar erreicht der Film nicht ganz die Intensität und Cleverness von Teil 1, bietet aber dennoch jede Menge Spannung, packende Verfolgungsjagden und einen gewohnt charismatischen Ethan Hunt. Auch wenn das Finale nicht ganz so überraschend ist, macht der Film insgesamt viel Spaß und ist ein würdiger Abschluss für Fans der Reihe. Es gibt wohl mehr Werbung bei Amazon Prime Video Gerade haben wir uns stellenweise an die Werbung bei Prime Video gewöhnt oder sie sogar akzeptiert, da zieht Amazon schon nach. Offenbar soll die Werbung / Stunde erhöht werden. – Auf 4 bis 6 Minuten pro Stunde! Das kommt quasi einer Verdopplung gleich. Geldzählen Liquid und Maniac machen es wieder: Zai Money, Geldzählen ist ein entspannter Mundart Track, der Oberpfälzer Jungs. Stern des Südens Die FC Hollywood-Dokumentation ist ein spannender und emotionaler Blick hinter die Kulissen des FC Bayern München. Mit exklusiven Interviews, historischen Aufnahmen und überraschenden Einblicken zeigt sie, warum der Rekordmeister nicht nur sportlich, sondern auch medial einzigartig ist. Die Mischung aus Glanz, Drama und großen Persönlichkeiten macht die Doku zu einem Muss – nicht nur für Fans, sondern für alle, die Fußball lieben. Neue Features wie ein zentraler Spiele-Hub, Studio-Audio und verbesserte Privatsphäre machen das System noch vielseitiger. Die finale Version erscheint im Herbst 2025 – viele KI-Funktionen gibt es allerdings nur auf neueren Geräten wie dem iPhone 15 Pro. Wann ist die Zeit zum aufhören gekommen? Das ist eine Frage, die man sich bei den Simpsons durchaus stellen kann. 36 Staffeln, 800 Episoden und kein Ende in Sicht. Die Frage ist, muss das denn sein?

Followup zum Mario Kart Server Erinner ihr euch an den einsamen Spieler, der ganz alleine einen Mario Kart 7 Server am Laufen gehalten hat? Nach 210 Tagen musste er nun doch offline gehen. Schöner Horror Das Silent Hill 2 Remake auf der PS5 ist ein Meisterwerk des psychologischen Horrors, das Matze gleichermaßen beeindruckt und erschüttert hat. Die verstörende Atmosphäre und der bedrückende Soundtrack ziehen den Spieler in die düstere Welt von Silent Hill. Besonders auf der PS5 Pro kommt die grafische Pracht zur Geltung: Die düsteren Nebelschwaden, die realistisch texturierten Umgebungen und die erschreckend detaillierten Monster wirken so lebensecht, dass man sich ständig auf der Grenze zwischen Faszination und Schockzustand bewegt. Das Spiel ist ein tolles Remake, auch für Kenner des Originals. Silent Hill hat Matze so sehr gepackt, dass ich nicht wusste, ob ich die Konsole vor Furcht oder Staunen ausmachen sollte! Wenn Spieleklassiker in Gefahr geraten, springt GoG ein GoG steht für Good old Games und ist eine Initiative, die versucht alte Spiele mit modernen Plattformen kompatibel zu halten. Unterdessen sollen schon 100 Spiele auf diese Art gerettet worden sein. Hinter der Initiative steht CD Project Red (Witcher, Cyberpunk). Weiter Spiele sollen folgen. Totale Immersion Matze hatte die Gelegenheit, die Apple Vision Pro zu testen, und muss sagen: Die Qualität ist beeindruckend. Das gestochen scharfe Display, die intuitive Bedienung und die hochwertige Verarbeitung setzen definitiv neue Maßstäbe im Bereich der Mixed-Reality-Technologie. Aber trotz all der technischen Brillanz bleibt die Frage: Wofür braucht man es wirklich? Ob für produktives Arbeiten, Gaming oder Entertainment – es fühlt sich oft mehr wie ein technisches Experiment an als eine praktische Lösung für den Alltag. Fazit: Beeindruckendes Gerät, aber der echte Durchbruch könnte erst mit klareren Use Cases kommen. Die Familie „La Familia” von Curse, den Stieber Twins, Cora E und Aphroe ist ein absoluter Banger, der die Essenz von deutschem Hip-Hop perfekt einfängt. Jeder der Legenden liefert starke Lines, messerscharfe Flows und diese unverwechselbare Authentizität, die sofort Gänsehaut auslöst. “La Familia” ist mehr als ein Track, es ist eine Hommage an die Wurzeln des Hip-Hop und ein Statement, dass diese Artists immer noch zur absoluten Elite gehören. Hassliebe CoD Black Ops 6 Einer hasst es, einer liebt es. Wer was wie warum, erfahrt ihr im Podcast. Ausgelacht “Joker: Folie à Deux” lebt von der unglaublichen schauspielerischen Leistung von Joaquin Phoenix, der erneut brillant die Abgründe seiner Figur auslotet. Seine Darstellung ist intensiv, verstörend und faszinierend – genau das, was man von ihm erwartet. Doch leider wird der Film von seinen Musical-Einlagen überschattet, die nicht nur unpassend wirken, sondern auch den düsteren Ton des Vorgängers brechen. Statt die Geschichte voranzutreiben, ziehen sie einen aus der Atmosphäre heraus und wirken wie ein Fremdkörper. Insgesamt bleibt “Joker 2” eine enttäuschende Fortsetzung, die den hohen Erwartungen nicht gerecht wird. Konkurrenz für Ally, SteamDeck und Co – Xbox Handheld bestätigt Wie es aussieht, wird es am Markt der Handheld Spielsysteme doch noch eine portable Xbox geben. Allerdings ist das alles noch weit entfernt. Selbst 2025 ist wohl noch nicht damit zu rechnen. Dementsprechend machen Vergleiche mit den aktuellen Handhelds wohl wenig Sinn. Interessant wird, ob das dann ein Windows Gerät ist oder der Xbox zugeordnet wird. Peppi hat sich ja schon öfter beschwert, dass er gerne Spiele auf mehreren Geräten Spielen würde.

Während der Foodfluencer Markus Söder am liebsten das EU-Verbrennerverbot für 2035 ganz streichen würde (Audi-Chef Döllner dazu: "kontraproduktiv", "verunsichert die Kunden"), sind die deutschen Autobauer auf der IAA Mobility in München gut aufgestellt. Dieses Mal nehmen wir die für 2026 geplanten E-Autos VW ID. Cross und ID. Polo (früher: ID.2all) in den Fokus: endlich normale Autos zu vernünftigen Preisen. Mit Knöpfen! Irgendwas war noch... ahja, Apple hat wie immer im September neue iPhones und neue iPhone-Gadgets vorgestellt.
