En el programa de hoy tenemos varios avances de discos que verán la luz muy pronto, y otros que no se publicarán hasta bien entrada la primavera. Por una parte, el regreso de Saturday Looks Good To Me tras cinco años desde su último álbum, la banda adelanta una canción de su nuevo trabajo que no aparecerá hasta mayo. Otro celebrado regreso es el nuevo disco de Edwyn Collins, que además lo está presentando estos días en nuestro país. El octavo álbum del escocés se publica a finales de este mes de marzo. Además nos dejamos aconsejar por nuestros colaboradores esta semana: Walko nos recomienda a los australianos The Twerps con su último single, Antirock nos presenta el álbum de debut de Golden Grrrls desde Escocia, y el popchef nos da a conocer a The Unswept, otra banda con importantes influencias de The Jesus And Mary Chain.

Esta semana estrenamos en Ya No Puedo Más uno de esos álbumes que nos cautivan desde la primera escucha, se trata del debut del dueto formado por Adam Green y Binki Saphiro. Un disco que ha sido grabado entre Nueva York y Los Angeles, con sonidos y ritmos claramente vintage, y en el que la combinación de ambas voces supone uno de sus principales encantos. Por otra parte, hoy tenemos 3 recomendaciones de nuestros colaboradores: The Pencils, banda londinense desconocida de los años 80, por parte del Popchef del programa; Kim Baxter, vocalista de la banda All Girl Summer Fun que debuta en solitario, recomendado por Antirock; y The Embassy, el nuevo trabajo de esta banda sueca, que nos recomienda nuestro colaborador Walko.

Desde Brooklyn nos llega el tercer trabajo de Chairlift, synth pop inspirado claramente en los 80. También hay bastante de los 80 en Life In Trenches, el disco recopilatorio de temas inéditos de The Embassy. Walko is a film producer (Producers Guild of America), director, screenwriter, and actor (Screen Actors Guild). Among notable works is his 2018 award-winning film The Incantation, which stars former Superman Dean Cain. Walko won the 2018 Eclipse award for Best Direction, among several other awards, for the film. Jude has been a lifelong fan of classic literature and has a special love of all things Washington Irving. He even owns a grave plot at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in New York. Jude is passionate about Halloween, Tim Burton, stop motion animation, and all things dark and mysterious.
