ADHD parenting strategies don't always look the way we expect — and for me, the one that finally worked was the last one I ever thought I'd try. I never planned to homeschool. I have four kids, one of whom has ADHD, and after the chaos of COVID school-from-home, I wanted absolutely no part of being responsible for my child's education. But after years of 504 plans, unsupportive teachers, junior high overwhelm, and watching my bright kid become miserable in a system that wasn't built for his brain — I changed my mind. And it's been one of the best parenting decisions I've ever made. In this episode, I'm sharing the full journey AND teaching you the S.O.L.V.E. method — a research-backed problem-solving framework you can use to think through any complex parenting challenge, from school struggles to chore battles to friendship conflicts. Whether your child has ADHD, is just unhappy at school, or you've been quietly wondering if there's a better option — this episode is your roadmap. What we cover: → How to know when your child's school situation is actually a problem worth solving → What a 504 plan is (and how it compares to an IEP) → The question that finally tipped me toward homeschool → What to look for in a homeschool program for a child with ADHD → How to teach the S.O.L.V.E. method to your kids so they become better decision-makers

Leave a message & include your contact or I won't know it's you. Many people don't relate to the word abuse—not because nothing happened, but because emotional control often doesn't look dramatic, obvious, or cruel. In emotionally abusive or controlling relationships, the most damaging patterns are often subtle, gradual, and reinforced in ways that are easy to miss while you're in them.In this episode, we explore the subtle signs of emotional control that don't look like abuse, including how conditioning, self-doubt, and relief-based compliance can quietly train you to minimize your needs, question your perception, and adapt in ways you didn't consciously choose. You'll learn why so many people struggle to name emotional abuse, how shame and conditioning keep experiences minimized, and why recognizing these patterns is not about blame—but about clarity and empowerment. This episode is for anyone who has ever thought “It wasn't that bad” while still feeling smaller, more careful, or less like themselves. If you're trying to make sense of lingering confusion after a relationship and want language for what actually happened, this conversation will help you see it clearly—and understand why naming it can be the beginning of real healing.Support the showTo learn more about my Programs visit the websitewww.radiatenrise.com Email: Allison@radiatenrise.comFree 30 Min Root Cause Call Join Radiate and Rise Together - Survivor Healing Community for Women GET YOUR FREE AUDIOTo send a DM, visit Allison's profiles on Instagram and Facebookhttps://www.instagram.com/allisonkdagney/https://www.facebook.com/allisonkdagney/*Formerly (The Emotional Abuse Recovery Podcast)

What are the top hints that you need to hang it up and retire?
Have you ever been told that saying "no" makes you selfish? That good Christian women never rock the boat, always serve with a smile, and definitely do not have thoughts of their own? This episode is Part 2 of our Emotional Abuse 101 series, and today we're diving into the art of saying no.If the idea of saying no makes your stomach flip or sends you into a guilt spiral, this episode is your lifeline. I'll walk you through WHY it's so hard to say no and HOW to start saying it anyway with confidence and without apology.Key Takeaways:Saying no without guilt is an adult skill, not a rebellious sin. People-pleasing is often a trauma response. Your nervous system isn't broken. It's just been doing its job a little too well. You don't need permission to have boundaries. You're not waiting for anyone's approval. Boundaries ≠ controlling others. Boundaries = choosing how YOU respond when others misbehave. There's neuroscience behind this. Your brain can be rewired to feel safe even when saying no. Read the full show notes and/or ask Natalie a question hereGet a FREE chapter of Is It ME? Welcome to part one of a brand-new series I'm calling “Emotional Abuse 101: Everything You Need to Know,” because, let's face it, the church didn't exactly hand out “How to Spot a Narcissist in Your Youth Group” pamphlets in Sunday school. In this episode, I'm diving into the 10 most subtle signs of emotional abuse, the kind of signs that don't leave bruises on your body but do leave bruises on your soul. These are the red flags that fly under the radar, the ones that make you ask “Am I too sensitive?” or “Maybe I am the problem?”Here are some things we'll cover in this episode:The Silent Treatment Special — Why emotional withholding isn't just immature behavior, and the real reason he's using it against youMr. Jekyll and Pastor Hyde — What happens when everyone else thinks he's amazing, but you're living with someone completely different at homeStrategic Emotional Sabotage — The shocking pattern behind why your birthdays, holidays, and girls' nights keep getting ruined Weaponized Vulnerability — How opening your heart becomes ammunition in his hands, and why you're not crazy for feeling betrayedDream Crusher Lite™ — The subtle way he makes pursuing your goals absolutely miserable without ever saying "no" outrightPlausible Deniability — Why you're always "too sensitive" or "making assumptions," and how this phrase is actually a manipulation tacticRead the full show notes and/or ask Natalie a question hereTake a FREE emotional abuse quiz by going to emotionalabusequiz.com. Pancreatic problems often develop silently, showing up first as subtle digestive issues like greasy stools, fatigue after meals, or nausea when eating fatty foods Early warning signs such as upper abdominal pain, back pain, or unexpected weight loss signal that your pancreas is struggling and needs immediate attention to prevent lasting damage Experts warn that even mild, persistent changes in stool color, texture, or frequency can reveal enzyme deficiencies that, if untreated, lead to malabsorption, diabetes, or cancer Everyday habits like eating processed foods, consuming seed oils, and drinking alcohol overwork your pancreas and trigger chronic inflammation that slowly impairs its function Supporting your pancreas with simple dietary changes, steady blood sugar habits, and early detection of symptoms allows your body to heal naturally and maintain long-term digestive and metabolic health

Welcome to this week's Blonde Intelligence, I am your host Ms. Roni and I always seek to give you exquisite cranial repertoire. Red flags rarely arrive as flashing sirens—they tiptoe in as jokes that sting, plans that shift without warning, and friends you “should” see less. We dive into the anatomy of toxic dynamics and map how gaslighting, secrecy, and intermittent affection reshape your sense of self until the relationship sets the terms of your reality. Pulling examples from reality TV and everyday life, we unpack why hot-cold reinforcement is so addictive, how attachment styles fuel the chase, and what it takes to reclaim clarity when your peace keeps getting taxed.I walk through practical tools that move beyond vague advice. You'll hear how to set boundaries that name behaviors—like “do not check my phone without asking”—and how to use I statements to state needs without escalating blame. We talk through what healthy privacy looks like compared to secrecy that controls money, time, or information, and how to respond when transparency is refused. There's space for tough truths too: if someone brags about “hitting below the belt,” that's not passion, that's a pattern that calls for skills, support, or separation. You'll get actionable steps for rebuilding a support network, documenting patterns to counter self-doubt, and working with therapy to break cycles of criticism and withdrawal. When control escalates, we outline safety planning, from storing vital documents to contacting local services. Most of all, we center a simple standard: if your peace is the price of admission, the relationship is too expensive. Listen to learn the signs, gather the words, and choose a path that protects your dignity and future. If this resonated, follow the show, share with a friend who needs it, and leave a quick review—your voice helps others find the clarity they deserve.@rroneice @BlondeIntelligence #BlondeIntelligence #BoundariesNotBarter #GaslightToGlowUp #PeaceOverPriceSupport the show

Why does it feel so hard to find someone who will actually commit? ✨ Want to become a confident parent in 12 weeks or less? Start here: https://drlindsayemmerson.com/workshop-pod In this episode, I'll walk you through 10 subtle early signs of ADHD that you can identify in children aged 6 months to 5 years - including a specific behavior during bedtime stories that most parents and even some pediatricians completely miss. As a clinical psychologist who works with families daily, I'll show you exactly how to check for each sign at home, because recognizing these early indicators can be transformative for your child's academic success, relationships, and your family's overall well-being. Keep in mind that potting one or two (or even more) of these signs does not necessarily mean your child has ADHD. This video serves to facilitate seeking guidance from your child's pediatrician or another health professional if you have concerns about your child's behavior. It is meant to be an at-home diagnostic tool. Be sure to check out fellow creator, Emma Hubbard's channel. It's truly fabulous.
