Hi everyone, editor Abysmii here. No commentary track because it got corrupted, thanks Craig. You AI dickhole.Anyway, this movie was really fun and don't let how confused we were when trying to explain the plot throw you off. Go watch it, it's short and a really fun ride. I would very much try this drink we made up too. I don't know why I like these weird French movies so much. I don't even like French as a language. I do know that I spent a week draining my crawlspace because of the record atmospheric rivers we had in California. FUN TIMES.I've trying out more non-alcoholic craft beer lately to ward off cerosis a bit longer so we can keep bringing you these episodes. A lot of the, are really good! It's still fun to have actual alcohol when you are out and about of course.Okay, personal anecdotes over. We have cool stuff going up on the Patreon, so please consider supporting us there, even if just for a dollar. https://www.patreon.com/creativehorror/posts
Carpenter Brut, recognized for his hardcore synth wave music, has garnered a devoted following in the realms of EDM and cyberpunk. Whether encountered on platforms like SoundCloud or through random YouTube compilations, fans have been captivated by his unique compositions. In particular, his track 'Turbo Killer' served as a gateway into the captivating world of Carpenter Brut. The visuals and narrative of the 'Turbo Killer' music video inspired the creation of the cosmic opera 'Blood Machines,' a visually intoxicating experience that pushes the boundaries of visual effects and artistry. However, while the film impresses with its visuals, it falls short in developing a compelling narrative. This podcast dives deep into the importance of visual storytelling in movies and examines the highlights and missed opportunities of 'Blood Machines.' Join us as we explore the cosmic universe crafted by Carpenter Brut and its impact on the world of music and filmmaking.Visual storytelling is an essential element in movies that can greatly impact the viewer's experience. While some may argue that a film's focus should be on the writing and dialogue, there is something captivating about being able to tell a story through visuals. Even if the script may be lacking in certain areas, the use of imagery can evoke emotions and convey themes in a unique way. Instead of relying solely on dialogue to convey a message, visual storytelling allows the audience to interpret and connect with the story on a deeper level.----------Listen to Aaron on his podcast, WSTR: Galactic Public Access----------Support The Cinedicate on PatreonConnect with The Cinedicate on these social platforms!Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cinedicate/Twitter: https://twitter.com/cinedicate/Discord: https://www.cinedicate.com/discord Get bonus content on Patreon Hosted on Acast. Happy first episode recorded in 2023! We'd love to tell you we're coming in all “new year, new us”, but f*ck that… that's not why you're here. You're not here to listen to us grow and change and all that nonsense. No way. How about “New year, worse us” (thanks, Lucas). Look, all I'm trying to say is that we hadn't recorded in a while and we had a lot of movies to catch up on and also tonight's movie, um… didn't bear us the longest fruit. So tune in for some wild and erratic opinions on things that mostly have to do with horror and stick around for a little puppet-y after party! Bonus points for clocking just how long Cody goes without realizing him we're trying to get him to transition into tonight's film. We're back, nerds! 00:00 - 5:16ish Intros: How we think copyright works, and some out there therapeutic methodology. 5:16-sih - 1:11:00ish - What we watched! Lucas - Vesper, Bullet Train (and the story of how this thing is available is f*cked), Drive My Car, The Northman (again), The Black Phone, Resurrection, Butcher Baker Nightmare Maker, The Baby, White Noise (2022), The Menu, and Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio. Cody - Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio, Slumberland, The Raid, The Viewing, The Runner, Austin - Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio, Blood Machines, Don't Worry Darling, Resurrection, Dashcam, The Church, The History of the Occult, Night of the Zombies, and The Whale, and M3gan. Curtis - Hook, The Fabelmans, Twin Peaks, Jurassic World: Dominion, The Mothman Prophecies, The Fourth Kind, Evil Dead (2013), Crimes of the Future (I hoodwinked Jess), Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, Babylon (FUCK YES), Sick, and M3gan. Wykopaliska, Lupin, O wszystko zadbam, Biały tygrys i inne. No i jest jeszcze jakieś głupie gadanie o teledysku, więc oto link do niego gdyby ktoś chciał obejrzeć. P.S.

We are all in with this new format, and hope you are too. Originally, we planned to test this out and workshop it a bit, but as some of you know, we had a serious issue with a memory card that somehow snapped in half inside an adapter (which was undamaged). As a result, we lost four episodes and in order to maintain our release schedule, we adapted. This week we are discussing two movies that are both horror, yet somehow polar opposites. The first is Orozco the Embalmber. This film was by Kiyotaka Tsurisaki and follows a Colombian embalmer named Froilan Orozco. Then, we move on to Blood Machines, by French hivemind: Seth Ickerman. In reality, Ickerman is both Raphaël Hernandez and Savitri Joly-Gonfard. The duo has worked together on multiple projects and this film is actually a sequel to a music video. That project was a collaboration with Carpenter Brut for the song Turbo Killer. The "Hidden Track" is We're Wolf from Germany. I don't think you had enough Blood Machines!!! Because we don't think you had enough, we're back with another amazing interview from this crazy visual movie!! For today's interview, we had the chance to sit down and speak with Elisa Lasowski, who played Corey in the film. Corey is a priestess, who for some reason, is protecting all of the robots! Corey leads a whole group of priestesses that rule with an iron fist! Elisa told us about the process of getting the role, plus the process of filming. Because a good amount of her role was accomplished through CGI, she told us some funny stories about not really knowing what was happening, but trusting completely in the directors. She also tells us what it felt like when she first saw how visually stunning the movie ended up being! This is a really good interview with Elisa, plus you'll get to learn more about French cinema! It's a hilariously short story, and Anders is a funny and relatable human being! Do you love watching weird sci-fi? Do you love listening to the pulsating beats of synthwave music? If you said yes to both, you ABSOLUTELY have to join us as we discuss BLOOD MACHINES, a film/music video hybrid featuring trippy visuals and a killer soundtrack by Carpenter Brut. Kicking off the show we also discuss the trailer for next week's feature, A TALE OF TWO SISTERS. Come, join the Podforsaken! Hosts: Rodney Altman, Chris Sachs, Missy Levin Questions? Comments? Did you love THE WITCH aka THE VVITCH? If so, do we have a movie for you! Join us as we discuss 2017's HAGAZUSSA, an ethereal story about a woman in the 15th century who begins to believe she may be a witch. It's a beautiful film with some incredibly disgusting moments that left us quite divided on whether it's good or not. This is certainly one of our liveliest debates and is not to be missed, whether you've seen the movie or not! Kicking the show off we also take a look at the trailer for Shudder's BLOOD MACHINES, the focus of next week's episode. Join us! Hosts: Rodney Altman, Chris Sachs, Missy Levin Questions? Comments? On our very first episode, we discuss Blood Machines, a short sci-fi series written and directed by Seth Ickerman and set to the music of synthwave artist, Carpenter Brut.
Welcome to yet another episode of your favorite weekly comedy variety podcast. Andy, Viktor and Cyle had a real weird time talking about a military grade house boat on fire in the San Diego bay. Cyle tells the boys a story about ghosts from her childhood and who can forget about when Andy tried to explain the plot of Shutter Originals' weird techno sexy sci-fi fantasy film Blood Machines. Bree & Cavin watch the short film "Blood Machines". They talk pretentious film-making, stunning visuals, and synth-wave ignorance. This week's Screen Bucket is in tribute to Ennio Morricone, who sadly passed away at the age of 91. A legend of cinema music, Adam and Rob discuss some of their favourite tracks, and go on to discuss Adam's film selection for the word, "different" - and has naturally chosen Once Upon A Time In The West (1968), featuring some of Morricone's best work! But it's not all doom and gloom. The boys also discuss the latest film news, Kanye West, Rob's redacted medical complaints, the Adam Buxton Podcast and more! Listen out for Adam's reviews of The Old Guard (2020) and Blood Machines (2019), plus Nick finally catches up with the rest of the world with his review of Doom Eternal! For this week Angela recommended If I’m not in the obits, enjoy breakfast. It’s a Doc that is on HBO right now and she says it’s amazing. She also watched Supermarket Sweep on Netflix. She watched Hamilton also. Matt watched Westworld, and we all love it. He also played Northguard, he says it’s fun. Shannon watched unsolved mysteries. She says its great. Perry Mason is dark as balls. She watched a movie on Hulu called A Hollow in the Land, she says it’s pretty good. She also watched Greyhound, Tom Hanks’ new movie on Apple TV+. It’s pretty thrilling. Aaron watched some John Wick 2. It’s obviously great. He also read some comics!! Sword of the Berserk is a fantastic manga that he’s enjoying. He also read through a comic called Die, which is like jumanji mixed with dungeons and dragons. He likes it a lot!! He’s still plugging Renegade Star audiobooks. One day we will probably give them a listen. Joe recommends Red vs. Blue, an old favorite. Blood Machines on Shudder is weird as balls. The Old Guard is actually surprisingly great!! It’s on Netflix, give it a whirl. And finally, he got into Picard and it’s going slowly. Then they talk about Hamilton for a while. Thanks for listening. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/moviedummies/message
