Episode Notes From issues to being diagnosed with EDS ( Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) to having issues with pregnancy and childbirth, not once but twice, Carrie Creed has seemingly been through it all. But what you wont hear from her when you listen to her speak is a feeling of being lost of hopelessness. Carrie is a very driven person with goals and standards in life. When you listen to Carrie you begin to understand how and why she was able to be able to push through these things that life set in front of her. Personally, I had to look what EDS was before I sat down with Carrie. I wanted to understand, to a reasonable degree, what she had gone through and why she was hospitalized for as long as she was. EDS is not a simple disease and not easily dealt with. I hope you are as inspired by Carrie Creed and her story as I was, and still am. Carrie is a fighter, a motivator, and just a generally good human being. Have you ever seen some one mess up or fall down and someone responds with "That's karma"?We call out karma when we think somebody gets something they had coming to them, but if we really think about, karma is LITERALLY the exact opposite of the gospel.Karma says what comes around goes around and that we get what we deserve, but the Gospel says Jesus took what was supposed to be ours and paid it in full. This isn't to say there isn't consequences to our actions but when it comes to what the Gospel says against what karma says, we have to make a choice.Psalm 103:8 "God does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities."
So let's talk about selflessness, let's talk about unconditional, let's talk about what real genuine support looks like... let's shake a table or two in this bitch lmao

So we’re beginning to get used to being cooped up at home with the whole fam, movements restricted to only a few essential outings. Perhaps you’re still working in an essential role, perhaps you’re in hibernation. Let’s pause for a minute and ask “how’s your mood been?” It struck me yesterday when one of my kids dropped his bundle over the start of the new school term here in Melbourne (which, let’s admit, was a total shitshow) that he had been carrying a lot of stress, worrying about how school was going to look. All I can say is he’s still in his pajamas... 24 hours later (mother of the year!). But what about YOU? If our kids are exploding with emotion, what are you holding in? I noticed in myself the other day that I just COULDN’T. I couldn’t listen to messages on my phone. I couldn’t look at my email inbox. I couldn’t look at comments or questions on my social media posts. I. Just. Couldn’t. That night I had a teary outburst of my own. Worried about my grandmothers, both in their 90s, both living alone, both in Tasmania where I can’t visit. Worried about the northwest of Tasmania where two hospitals have been shut down and over 5000 people have been put into mandated isolation after an outbreak there. It’s where my father’s people are from. It struck a worried chord in my heart. But they were just the outside reasons for my mood, which had been flat for days. They were just the “excuses”. The real reason was that I’d been burning the candle at both ends, and in the middle, trying to do all the things. I’ve just sold a business, but am emotionally very much engaged in its ongoing success. I’ve got business coaching clients, some of whom are worried about where their businesses are headed. I’ve spoken to more people who’ve been in tears themselves lately than I can count. I’ve got children stressed to the back teeth. I’ve got a husband who’s lost his job. And that’s before I even contemplate my own needs. And that’s what got me wondering today about you. How are YOU travelling?

Göbekli Tepe is an archaeological site full of mysterious monoliths and intricate carvings in Southeast Turkey that shouldn’t exist. Prehistoric hunter-gatherers COULDN’T build these massive structures, cut and transport these enormous stones, and carve these intricate reliefs with their primitive skill set and tools. Yet they did… Who had the know how to build this awesome set of structures? Did we receive help? This week we talk Turkey and try to understand the mysteries of Göbekli Tepe. Plus, Conspiracy Bot claims to be omnipotent (he’s not), Brent threatens to test that theory (he might), and we invent a new podcast all about dating organic matter using radio isotopes (it doesn’t go very far). All of that and more on the podcast that’s never been to Turkey, but wonders if their conspiracy isn’t fluoride, but TRYPTOPHAN in the water - Hysteria 51.
Today we met with Deryck Graham of First Digital Capital, who’s sponsoring the live community event ‘Blockchain Economy’ happening next week in Perth, on Tues 21st August with a view to attracting crypto enthusiasts, blockchain professionals, investors and those simply wanting to learn more about all of the above. The main purpose of the event being education and networking. Guest speakers include a veritable New York line up starting with Dr Scott Stornetta, Co-Inventor of the Blockchain, Dr David Yermack, Professor of Finance at NYU Business School and currently working for a month with the University of Western Australia, and Justin Dombrowski, CEO of Soho who is presently collaborating with First Digital Capital. While we questioned Deryck about the obvious lack of women in the speakers’ line up, he assured us that Fremantle’s very own Dr Jemma Green was unable to join the event that evening and that visiting Simonne Hurse of Techfest-club.com and Satis group would be among panellists on the night. I really really care about getting more women involved in all this, and I co-run a group for women in tech here in NYC, with 2000 members. We're always looking for excellent speakers + companies to sponsor the group, please get in touch if you'd like to get involved. (http://www.techfest-club.com/) From Simonne’s profile on LinkedIn. Dr Scott Stornetta struck our imagination and Amy-Rose is musing over whether he’s actually Satoshi, or better, Scottoshi… Currently a high-school maths teacher, he started working on the blockchain idea back in 1991 while working as a researcher at Bell Labs, before even the unfolding of the internet. The research involved whether he and a colleague, could make a digital file unbreakable and indelible, according to Deryck. They were unable to prove their hypothesis, but then 3 months later, they couldn’t prove that it COULDN’T be done either… Some time later while queuing at a busy restaurant one Sunday lunch, he had an ‘ahah’ moment when he observed all the people lined up in front and behind him, with the other diners watching them in line… “Hashtags in a chain were the people in the queue, and the distributed ledger were the people watching us in the crowd…” Dr Scott Stornetta’s work is mentioned 3 times in the Bitcoin whitepaper by Satoshi Nakamoto. Deryck has been involved in a number of community charity events, one that saw Perth Porsche drivers take children out for a convoy ride through the streets and city of Perth in conjunction with Make-a-Wish Australia (transforming the lives of children battling life-threatening medical conditions through the healing power of a wish), raising in the meantime hundreds of thousands of dollars. He currently runs Classic Cars & Coffees one Sunday a month at the University of WA, where between 350 to 550 cars are showcased by members who raise funds for charities. We’re thrilled to be attending Blockchain Economy this coming week and will share all the chats and interviews on the Clothesline! Look out for our Facebook page for more instant information and spontaneous ‘Lives’ where we livestream meetings and events as they happen… Find Out More: https://www.blockchaineconomy.com.au/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/w-scott-stornetta-25186120/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/justindombrowski/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-yermack-8b440813a/ https://www.makeawish.org.au/

Dont know what made me think of this song but it came to mind late last night while messing with the guitar. Couldnt sleep and had a headache (guess this song was tryin to get out of there) so i sat down at 1am with my old mutt and no picks and began picking around with it. Few mins later this came out. Sat there picking and refining till i was happy...about a hour later the wife stuck her head out the door mumbled something about "what in the world are you doing" so with headache gone i went back to bed. Figured i better record it today while its fresh on my mind. Really tried to get the melody to come out in this song.
