A Florida woman claims that in 2018, three hooded humanoids appeared in the bedroom of her six-year-old daughter and cured her of what doctors said was an inoperable brain tumor. Also, the Disclosure Foundation Chairman and former government official Christopher Mellon stated recently that Cornell University's arXiv (pronounced “archive”), an open access preprint repository, recently rejected two submissions from astronomer Dr. Beatriz Villarroel. The submissions were scientific papers related to Villarroel's discovery last year of evidence showing the entire planet was surrounded by more than 200,000 UFOs during the 1950s. At the same time, however, arXiv published a critique of Villarroel's research penned by other scientists, Mellon stated.Links/Sources:'HOODED HUMANOIDS' REMOVED CHILD'S INOPERABLE BRAIN TUMOR According to Florida Mother's Testimony | Phantoms & MonstersCall for Review of arXiv Decision on Peer-Reviewed Research Related to UAP(PDF) Aligned, multiple-transient events in the First Palomar Sky SurveyALIENS HEALED ME IN MY HOSPITAL ROOMSupport Extraterrestrial Reality/Quirk Zone on Patreon:https://www.patreon.com/c/Extraterrestrial_RealityCheck out my YouTube channel:Quirk Zone - YouTubeExtraterrestrial Reality Book Recommendations:Link to ROSWELL: THE ULTIMATE COLD CASE: CLOSED: https://amzn.to/3O2loSILink to COMMUNION by Whitley Strieber: https://amzn.to/3xuPGqiLink to THE THREAT by David M. Imagine teaching a robot 1000 tasks in just 24 hours. Imagine teaching robots just like you teach humans. In fact, what if teaching a robot were as easy as showing it once?Humans can learn new skills almost instantly by watching, trying, or receiving a quick explanation. Robots, historically, haven't been so lucky. Training them often requires huge datasets with real or virtual data, massive engineering effort, and weeks or months of experimentation. But that may be changing. In this episode of TechFirst, host John Koetsier talks with Edward Johns, Director of the Robot Learning Lab at Imperial College London, about a breakthrough in efficient imitation learning that allowed a robot to learn 1,000 different tasks in just 24 hours.Instead of collecting huge datasets, Johns' team combines simulation training, clever algorithm design, and single demonstrations to dramatically speed up how robots learn. We discuss:• How robots can learn from just one demonstration• Why breaking tasks into “reach” and “interact” phases makes learning faster• The role of simulation data in robotics AI• Why robotics doesn't have the same data advantage as large language models• The future of prompt-like robot training• Whether humanoid robots will actually learn like humansAs robotics hardware rapidly improves and costs fall, breakthroughs like this could be the key to making robots truly useful in homes, factories, and everyday life.If robots are going to become real collaborators with humans, they'll need to learn quickly ... just like we do.⸻GuestEdward JohnsDirector, Robot Learning LabImperial College Londonhttps://www.imperial.ac.uk⸻Subscribe for more conversations on AI, robotics, and the future of technology:https://techfirst.substack.com00:00 Can robots learn as fast as humans?00:51 Teaching a robot 1,000 tasks in 24 hours01:08 The two-phase learning approach02:14 Old-school robotics vs. machine learning03:29 The robotics data bottleneck04:47 The challenge of dynamic environments06:04 The coming wave of robot data06:59 Why robots must be teachable by users08:08 Why LLM-style scaling is harder in robotics09:42 Prompting robots with demonstrations10:54 Probabilistic robot behavior and safety12:20 What robots can do today13:53 Why hardware precision still matters16:53 When this reaches the real world17:59 Humanoids that look human vs. learn human18:40 The robotics boom around the world22:34 The risk of scaling too early23:46 Faster learning vs. more data26:20 The next frontier in robot learning

This week on Autonomy Markets, Grayson Brulte and Walter Piecyk discuss Uber's new Autonomous Vehicle Solutions initiative, Waymo's growing markets, and the growth of Physical AI powered by NVIDIA.As Uber's stock languishes in the low seventies due to investor overhang about the future of autonomy, the company announced Uber Autonomous Solutions, a new initiative to support the growth of autonomous vehicles on the Uber platform.Grayson and Walt break down the initiative point by point, examining Uber's strategy of providing training data, enriched mapping, venue management, and autonomous vehicle insurance. While Grayson views much of the in-car experience pitch as buzzword Alley, Walt argues that AV mission control and fleet management are the true meat of Uber's strategy, aiming to provide the critical API for a fragmented market. This sparks a spirited debate on whether Uber is maintaining its asset-light identity or quietly creeping into asset-heavy operations by owning and operating robotaxi assets. The conversation then shifts to the geopolitical risks of Uber's international partnerships, as the company recently hosted analysts in Abu Dhabi to meet with Chinese autonomous partners WeRide and Baidu. Grayson warns of the tremendous blowback and political risk this carries back home, especially given the current US administration's active stance on social media regarding foreign technology.Walt and Grayson also discuss a recent broker report, shared by Uber CFO Balaji Krishnamurthy on X, that analyzed just 34 trips in Austin and claimed there is no cost advantage to autonomy. They call the sample size too small and the conclusions baffling given the obvious long-term benefits of removing human drivers.Contrasting Uber's narrative tour, Waymo is aggressively scaling and growing revenue. This week, Waymo announced they have crossed 1 million fully autonomous freeway miles, expanded into Chicago and Charlotte, and opened up Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Orlando to early riders.Notably, Uber was absent from these new market announcements, leading Grayson to point out the potentially waning relationship between the two companies. Furthermore, he put on his inspector hat to uncover signs of Waymo's grand ambitions in the EU, citing meetings with the European Commission and job postings for EU regulatory counsel. As Waymo scales, the capital markets are flowing for autonomy investments, highlighted by Wayve securing a $1.2 billion check at an $8.6 billion valuation. The round includes investments from SoftBank, NVIDIA, Stellantis, and Nissan, with Uber committing to own and operate the Wayve fleet in 10 upcoming markets, starting with London. Then there is the growth of physical AI, which NVIDIA announced contributed $6 billion in earnings last quarter, with CFO Colette Kress signaling that robotaxis and humanoids are poised to be major growth markets over the next decade.Episode Chapters00:00 Uber's Identity Crisis 1:33 Breaking Down Uber Autonomous Solutions20:43 Uber's Abu Dhabi Analyst Day & Chinese Tech Risks 35:37 Waymo Announces Chicago & Charlotte as New Markets 40:55 Uber and Waymo's Waning Relationship 42:03 Waymo Surpasses 1 Million Fully Autonomous Freeway Miles43:56 Waymo Eyes the EU Expansion 46:32 Wayve's $1.2B Funding Round50:39 NVIDIA, Physical AI, & Humanoids 53:04 Next WeekRecorded on Friday, February 27, 2026--------About The Road to AutonomyThe Road to Autonomy is the definitive media brand covering the Autonomy Economy™. For years, I've been asked the same question. Are the Chicago winged humanoids the same beings reported near Point Pleasant, West Virginia, in 1966 and 1967? And if so, what exactly are they?In this episode, I examine multiple non-Chicagoland winged humanoid encounters, including cases from Missouri, Florida, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and the Ohio River corridor. Each case is directly compared with structurally similar sightings from the 2017 Chicago wave.We analyze height variation, red-eyed manifestations, wing concealment, highway corridor crossings, tree-perch behavior, and ground-to-air transitions. Are we looking at a single distributed species with regional differences, multiple related morphotypes, or a phenomenon that transcends conventional biological explanation? The larger question remains. Are these beings Earth-dwelling creatures navigating hidden terrain corridors, or are they ultraterrestrial entities sharing our environment in ways we barely understand? This is not speculation. This is a pattern comparison across decades. If you have experienced an unexplained encounter or sighting, visit Phantoms and Monsters https://phantomsandmonsters.com to submit & share your story.

The robots are coming! Well, in food and beverage processing, robotics and automation are already here, sure — but what we see today pales in comparison to what the future may hold. Berk Pehlivanoglu and Ozan Ozaskinli of Value Gene Consulting Group join the Food For Thought podcast to talk about an in-depth report their firm released in January, titled “How Humanoids Will Reshape Food Manufacturing.” Ozaskinli and Pehlivanoglu talk about the humanoid robots currently in development, the shortcomings of the technology at the moment, the projected total cost of ownership of humanoids for food processors, and the technological advancement still needed to reach reliable use in food processing. And, they say, food processors should begin to think about how to capitalize on this innovation now — because implementation of humanoids in food and beverage processing isn't as far away as some might think.
House of Usher (1960), The Pit and the Pendulum (1961), and The Masque of the Red Death (1964) In the beginning of his career as a producer / director Roger Corman was known for cranking out cheap and fast black and white pictures that always made money. He worked in all genres, but it was mainly the horror and sci-fi pictures in the mid to late '60s he was known for. All that changed in 1960, when he convinced AIP to let him adapt a story from Edgar Allan Poe, but in color, with a bigger budget, and longer shooting schedule. That started a new phase of Corman's career, which also made an even bigger star of Vincent Price. In this episode, we take a deep dive into three of these Poe adaptations, and not necessarily looking in the faithfulness of them, but in their production, the incredible casts, the look, the style, as well as the feel of them. They really do get better each and every time you watch them. Hopefully after listening to this episode, you'll decide to either venture down this dark path for the first time, or take a revisit to admire the doom and gloom they all have. Films mentioned in this episode: The Big Bird Cage (1972), Black Sunday (1960), Chinatown (1974), City of the Dead (1960), Countess Dracula (1971), Corman's World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel (2011), Death Race 2000 (1975), Don't Look Now (1973), Duel (1971), Five Guns West (1955), The Fly (1958), Gunslinger (1956), The Haunted Palace (1963), Horror Hospital (1973), House on Haunted Hill (1959), House of Usher (1960), House of Wax (1953), Humanoids from the Deep (1980), Intruder (1962), It Conquered the World (1956), The Legend of Hell House (1973), Little Shop of Horrors (1960), Masque of the Red Death (1964), Monster from the Ocean Floor (1954), Naked Paradise (1957), Not of this Earth (1957), Pit Stop (1969), Piranha (1978), The Pit and the Pendulum (1961), Premature Burial (1962), Psycho (1960), The Raven (1963), Return of the Fly (1959), Rock 'n' Roll High School (1979), The Seventh Seal (1957), Swamp Women (1956), Tales of Terror (1962), The Terror (1963), The Tingler (1959), Trilogy of Terror (1975), The Wasp Women (1959)

Fire up your curiosity: what happens when AI, humanoid robots, and digital manufacturing collide on the factory floor? We dig into the bold prediction that a fully automated car assembly line could be operating by 2030 and unpack what it really takes to get there. From wiring harnesses and delicate dashboard installs to the complexity of door modules, we separate headlines from the hard engineering work that makes or breaks automation at scale. We share practical examples of where automation already excels—welding cells, tire plants, high-repeat processes—and the spots that still challenge robots' dexterity and sensing. You'll hear why design for automation is emerging as a core discipline, how sequence changes can unlock access for robots, and what it means to standardize connectors, tolerances, and fixtures so machines can move fast without sacrificing quality. Humanoid robots get their moment too: we explore why early pilots will likely focus on ergonomically tough tasks and where a human-in-the-loop model delivers the best results. The human story runs throughout. We talk reskilling, safety, and the rise of hybrid teams where technicians, integrators, and maintenance pros keep fleets of robots humming. You'll get a clear view of how jobs shift rather than simply vanish, with new roles in diagnostics, quality analytics, logistics, and digital twins. Along the way, we hit the latest racing calendar highlights, revisit pivotal moments in auto history, and cover fresh news from Chevrolet's Stars & Steel special editions to GM's new Detroit headquarters. If you care about where cars come from, how factories evolve, and what tomorrow's automotive careers look like, this one's for you. Our guest on this week's episode is Amy Dean, VP of Operations at SC Codeworks. The shipping world is still waiting on the Supreme Court's ruling on whether the administration can lawfully collect the tariffs that have been assessed on nearly every trading nation. In the meantime, there may be a strategy to mitigate some of those tariff impacts – and that is by using Foreign Trade Zones. While employment trends show few new jobs, a new survey from resume platform company Resume.org found that most companies are planning to add more staff this year, and that a majority of those will do so quickly—by adding new hires in the first quarter. We look at what skills employers are looking for from new employees. One of the emerging supply chain technologies that's been getting the most buzz in recent months is humanoid robots; these are two-legged, walking robots. However, this technology is new — and there are certain shortcomings. Humanoids collapse and fall down when power is cut. So that creates safety risk in the event of a fall. But according to a report from Interact Analysis, the industry is working on this problem.Supply Chain Xchange also offers a podcast series called Supply Chain in the Fast Lane. It is co-produced with the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals. A new series is now available on Top Threats to our Supply Chains. After the U.S military's overnight strike on Venezuela and capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, correspondent Scott Pelley reports on the recent events and the criminal charges they face. Pelley interviews former DEA special agent Sandy Gonzalez, who helped lead the investigation that led to Maduro's 2020 indictment, Roger Carstens, who was Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs under the previous Trump and Biden administrations, and U.S. Senator Mark Kelly. For decades, engineers have been trying to create robots that look and move like humans, and now breakthroughs in AI are giving humanoid robots a new ability to acquire skills through learning. At Hyundai's new auto plant near Savannah, Georgia, correspondent Bill Whitaker watches as Boston Dynamics' humanoid, AI-powered robot Atlas learns to perform factory work in a real-world setting for the first time. Very few people retire at age 16, but few people have had careers with as many twists as Alysa Liu. After becoming the youngest U.S. women's figure skating champion at just 13, the phenom shocked the sport by walking away a few years later. Now 20, Liu is back and a favorite to win Olympic gold next month. Correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi speaks with Liu about coming back on her own terms. In what has to be one of the most intriguing, confounding, and flat-out jaw-dropping flaps in the annals of ufology, a roughly 300-day stretch in 1970 and '71 plunged Finland into an unprecedented wave of high strangeness. Citizens across the country were left stunned by the sudden emergence of tiny, space-suit-clad beings—entities that seemed to hail from a reality heavier, slower, and infinitely stranger than our own… creatures who proved more than capable of harming anyone foolish enough to try to capture one. What if one of the most mysterious places on Earth… wasn't in the ocean, or the jungle, or buried in some ancient ruin — but hidden beneath the frozen surface of a Siberian lake?A place older than civilization.Deeper than imagination. And stranger than anything the X-Files ever dared to film. This week, we journey into Lake Baikal — the world's oldest and deepest lake — a place so vast and so ancient it feels less like a body of water and more like a boundary between realities. For thousands of years, travelers, fishermen, explorers, and even Soviet military divers have reported things in Baikal that defy explanation:Monsters.Ghost ships.Blinding lights in the deep.Humanoids in silver suits.Vessels that vanish — and sometimes return. And a magnetic anomaly so powerful it seems to pulse with… intention.Together, we'll dive into the legends, the science, the folklore, and the straight-up bizarre documented encounters that make Baikal one of the greatest unsolved mysteries on the planet.
