I think it's fair to call 2018 the year of 6ix9ine and in this video, we are gonna roll back the clock looking at everything that went down.6ix9ine walked into 2018 with around 2.9 million Instagram followers and is now boasting over 15 Million. He kicked off the year with the release of his debut mixtape Day 69 but he also found himself making headlines for getting into a physical altercation with a fan and the allegations made against him from his past about a past relationship with a girl who was underage. Despite the bad buzz Tekashi managed to stay on top dropping banger after banger. He dominated Billboard with hit after hit and solidified himself as a mainstream artist with collaborations from Murda Beatz and Nicki Minaj. After avoiding jail time 6ix9ine found himself under investigation by the FEDS and was sent away in the final months of the year. Yet, after some controversy, his album Dummy Boy still climbed to number 1 on Billboard.

They went at it on who is projected to sell the most. The NY rapper recently paid an unwanted visit to Chicago, IL. Many Windy City rappers including Lil Reese, G Herbo, King Von and Lil Durk denounced Tekashi's visit. While in Chicago, 6ix9ine announced his upcoming album, Tattle Tales. The Dummy Boy follow-up is set to drop September 4th. Lil Dirk announced his next project, The Voice to release next Friday as well. “Look up billboards top 100 f**k it 200 let me see some…. the voice sept4th,” said Durk in AK's comments. The Chicago rapper referred to the success of “Laugh Now, Cry Later,” which debuted at No.2 on the Hot 100 charts. 6ix9ine responded per usual and Durk countered in a similar fashion.
