It's that time of the week again, let's play Bridge The Gap! Today, two Sarah and Vinnie listeners join us for our trivia battle of the generations. Elizabeth is a longtime listener representing GenX, and Joanne is playing for the Zillennials. Two police officers are being praised for saving a man's life with compassion. Venmo redesigned their app, and Sarah is nervous about figuring out how to use it. Vinnie still doesn't want it. Howboutafastfact?! The first use of OMG was WAY earlier than you'd think. Like Winston Churchill early. Plus, any excuse to listen to Aretha Franklin.

Focus: In the very moment sin enters the story, God speaks a promise that reshapes the future. Genesis 3:15 reveals that the fracture will not be permanent and the serpent will not prevail. What was torn is not discarded, but stitched with hope. This first Gospel promise points forward to a Savior who will enter the brokenness, absorb the wound, and ultimately defeat evil. This week anchors us in the assurance that grace is older than our failure and that God's redemptive plan was already being woven at the frayed edge of creation. Genesis 3:15

Focus: Sin does not stay contained. What begins as mistrust of God quickly spreads into fractured relationships, escalating violence, and disordered communities. As the threads of creation unravel, from the first murder to the flood to the tower of Babel, we confront the sobering reality of sin's reach. Yet even here, God remains present: restraining evil, preserving life, and refusing to let brokenness have the final word. This week calls us to honestly reckon with sin's ripple effects while recognizing God's persistent mercy amid the unraveling. Genesis 4–11

Focus: No thread remains untouched by sin. Romans 3 strips away illusion and comparison, revealing a universal truth: all have fallen short, and no one stands righteous on their own. This is not condemnation for its own sake, but clarity that levels the ground beneath us all. By naming the depth of the rupture, Scripture prepares us to see grace more clearly. This week invites us to release self-justification, face the truth about our condition, and discover that honest confession is the doorway to hope. Romans 3

Normally, we spend our days advising big organisations on how to rebuild trust, explain themselves better, and stop setting fire to their reputations. But today we've taken on a new client. A tricky one. With the sort of knotty challenge we love at Apella Towers. Legacy brand. Huge heritage. Slightly confused about what it stands for. Name of the client: Britain. It's a high-maintenance account, this one. Constant leadership churn, outdated assets, no clear narrative architecture, and absolutely no budget. So probably pro-bono then? That's before you even get into the stakeholder relations — the EU, the US, the Commonwealth, the neighbours up North. It's a crowded contact sheet. Let's see what they've sent us.  Brace yourselves.  This episode is hosted by Matt Young and Andrew Brown. Matt Young has 25 years of experience across media relations, public affairs, regulatory development, employee engagement, brand development, competition and CSR. Group corporate affairs director at Lloyds Banking Group, part of the senior team which rescued the bank and rebuilt its reputation following the financial crisis. Formerly communications director at Santander UK and board member of the BBA. Andrew Brown; formerly Director of Communications and Public affairs at Ageas Insurance, Andrew has more than ten years' experience leading the corporate affairs functions for global, listed, multifaceted firms across a range of regulated and unregulated sectors. He has considerable experience in issues, crisis and change management as well as reputation sentiment analysis and insight. “Those guys are parents to 2 babies…and we're fighting over which baby is cuter…”   With SIDE 2 of our PUPPETS VS JUSTICE HEAD-TO-HEAD DEATH MATCH, things are a bit trickier, because the math doesn't sync up perfectly track for track. But not to worry, because we worked out all the math to try and keep things as “Even Steven” as possible.   “You go to the peak of your ability…that's what Justice was…it was their Hemispheres…”   As we noted previously on the SIDE 1 episode, PUPPETS represents the end of the Cliff Burton era, and JUSTICE represents the beginning of the Jason Newsted era. On SIDE 2, we got deeper into the weeds, particularly with regard to the lyrical subject matter, the style and structure of the songs, and the personal impact and perspective of the instrumentals. We're not saying that this was a complete blowout, and we're not saying that the outcome was predictable by any means, but what we ARE saying is that the final verdict was actually a bit more shocking than we originally anticipated.   “What are they saying, dude?”   Stick around until the very end of the episode to discover the power of “frontmasking” after you JOIN US for the nail-biting conclusion to our PUPPETS VS JUSTICE HEAD-TO-HEAD DEATH MATCH as we take on SIDE 2. Episode 293 - "Repairing What's Frayed - How to Rebuild Connections"In a world that moves fast and forgets easily, we all have parts of our lives that have come undone — relationships, routines, or pieces of ourselves we've set aside in the rush to keep going. In this episode, Michelle and Scott talk about how to tend to what's frayed — how to revisit the places in your life that need mending without judgment or shame. From strained relationships to fractured trust, from burnout to broken routines, repair is not about pretending nothing happened. It's about choosing to care again. Through self-reflection, boundaries, and compassion, they explore how the Japanese art of kintsugi — mending cracks with gold — teaches us to honor our scars as part of our strength. Because sometimes, what's been broken isn't ruined. It's just waiting to become something more beautiful.Keeping Your Sh*t Together in a Stressed World is a podcast hosted by Michelle Post, MA, LMFT and Scott Grossberg, JD, CLC, CCH, NLP, and is 30 minutes of raw, irreverent, and results-oriented discussion with one purpose in mind . . . to help you cope, thrive, and survive the craziness that's going on in the world. As a reminder, our “Get Your Sh*t Together” Home Retreat can be found here:http://thinkingmagically.com/retreatReplays of prior episodes can be found at:https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/scott-grossbergYou can also join our Facebook group:https://www.facebook.com/groups/keepingystMichelle Post can be reached at michelle@postinternationalinc.com http://postinternationalinc.com

Berly and LA dive into Season 8, Episode 10 of Supernatural, where poor little Alfie (Samandriel) is getting the torture treatment from Crowley's bow-tied minion Vigo - who the hosts can't figure out the point of since Crowley shows up anyway. Meanwhile, Sam's dealing with the Amelia situation (cue the fisting jokes), Dean and Castiel are having their own bromantic rescue mission, and everyone's making questionable life choices. The episode features angel screams that make bushes burst into flames, Kevin being sassy on his houseboat, and Castiel carrying around a Sharpie like the prepared angel he is. Things get dark when Naomi's mind control reaches peak creepy dentist vibes, leading to a heartbreaking farewell to Samandriel that has the hosts crying into their drinks. The Winchester boys finally hash out their jealousy issues (character development!), but not before Dean has to cut ties with Benny, leaving the hosts worried about everyone's mental health. As always, they serve up the perfect blend of supernatural lore, relationship drama analysis, and the kind of commentary that makes you feel like you're gossiping about TV with your best friends over margaritas."All tea, no shade. He be weird."Sources:https://supernatural.fandom.com/wiki/Torn_and_Frayedhttps://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/true-story-brainwashing-and-how-it-shaped-america-180963400/ Send us your review!Support the showTHANK YOU FOR LISTENING!Please rate and review Denim-Wrapped Nightmares wherever you get your podcasts! Two of our least favorite things — long bus rides and whatever blue filter editors add in post — combine in an episode that isn't nearly as bad as it sounds. In 3×05, "Frayed," all of our favorite werewolves are having a horrible time on their long bus ride to a cross country meet, given their super-secret-stealthy fight with the alphas the night before. Isaac and Boyd are starting fights with the alphas, Scott is slowly dying from a very bad, alpha-inflicted wound, and Stiles is studying for the SATs. Luckily, the brains of the operation (Allison and Lydia) are following behind in a car. Good thing too, cause it turns out Scott's gonna need emergency roadside rest stop surgery!Everything unfolds against the backdrop of a surprise attack against the Alpha Pack from the night before, where not everyone got out unscathed. Is Scott's wound ever going to heal? Is Derek actually dead? Is it possible that their horrible day is going to turn into an even worse, horrible, terrible, no-good night?Grab your motion sickness bag, Jared. It's gonna be a bumpy ride.xoxo,FotRFind us on the Internet: https://linktr.ee/fandomontherocksSupport the pod: Patreon.com/fandomontherocksCreate your own podcast today with Zencastr and share your story. #madewithZencastr

Mijal and Noam dive into the complexities of religious Zionism in Israel with renowned journalist, Yair Ettinger. They explore the historical roots of the movement, from the pragmatic vision of Rabbi Reines to the messianic approach of Rabbi Kook and discuss how these ideologies helped shape modern Israeli society. They ask tough questions, including why figures such as Meir Kahane are resurfacing in popular discourse. With the rise of hardline religious Zionist factions, Mijal and Noam delve into what religious Zionism means today, its diversity and its role in Israel's security, politics, and peace efforts. How easy it is to live a separate life, until you actually realize that's what you've been doing. No one sets out in a relationship to do this, most people start off with the best intentions. Conditioning is responsible for hidden patterns that lead to emotional distance. It doesn't have to stay this way. Whether you want to stay in the relationship or go, there is a better way to live. Let's address what truly matters—how you feel and what is possible!

Can you imagine being 20 years old and already having been burned in a fire, as well as having a rare neurological issue? That is what happened to our friend, Addison Hudler. She has overcome so many difficult situations, and is still standing strong in her faith. Addison is currently a junior at Ouachita Baptist University. You may remember her mother, Amber Hudler, was on our first episode, and also our guest for Episode #126. In that first episode, Amber also discussed some of the topics we talk about with Addison, but now you will hear from the daughter's perspective. These episodes go well together. Addison was only 7 years old when there was an accident during a bonfire that caused 2nd degree burns on her face and hand. She was 12 when she started to develop strange symptoms that sent her to many doctors and hospitals, with no answers for a long while. They did finally get answers and treatment, but not without continued work. There is a quote from Jeremy Freeman which Addison likes to quote. It is this: "Sometimes God gets the most glory when someone is healed on earth. Sometimes God gets the most glory when someone is healed in heaven, and sometimes God gets the most glory when someone spends a lifetime enduring." Jessica Callahan has such a fascinating story! When she was five years old, her father was arrested and imprisoned. During his incarceration, he learned about Jesus and gave his life to the Lord. This changed the whole trajectory of his life! Jessica and I (Jill) met while serving at God Behind Bars, a ministry that goes into prisons to share the gospel with those behind bars. When I heard her story of why she serves, I knew we needed to have her tell her story. She also helps lead worship once a month when going into the prison. Jessica joined the Navy and served for 12 years. She is very adventurous and tells us about her love for skydiving which she has been doing since 2008. She is a go-getter and loves being in the air! The main thing she shares today is about overcoming a dependence on alcohol. This was a tough journey as she began to realize she was using it to cope and to self-medicate. There was pain she was numbing and needed to finally come to grips with. It forced her to become humble and search for help. Though not an easy road, she is now 861 days sober! You are going to love her and her story! This Naked Mind, Control Alcohol by Annie Grace #afrayedknotpodcast #alcoholism #fearofchange #skydiving #GBB

Kelley La Marr is the sweetest! She is the Ministry Assistant for the Preschool Ministry at First Baptist Church of Owasso. She loves serving the staff and the little ones. She is a great addition to the ministry! Kelley was adopted as a child and raised with a wonderful family. She grew up, married the love of her life, Rocky, and had two children. Then in 2016 she had the joy of meeting eight out of her twelve blood-related brothers and sisters! However, 2016 ended up being a rough year for her. Four months after her joyous reunion with her birth family, her husband suddenly passed away. They had been married for 32 years and had built a wonderful life together. She also had several other close relatives pass away soon after that in a very short amount of time. It was grief upon grief. Yet, she carried on. Kelley talks about grief and what happens when it is pushed down, eventually it has to show. She also discusses how she took care of others and provided a place of respite for others during this difficult time. She is an example of love and keeping open hands. She encourages all of us to minister to the one person that God places in your life each day, however small that may appear. It is not small to God. Hunter and her husband, Christien, have been married for a little over two years. They met in their freshman year of high school and stayed best friends for ten years before realizing they were meant for each other! They are an amazing couple who help serve their community in Tulsa, OK. Hunter is originally from Virginia and her story of getting to Oklahoma is interesting with lots of turns. God had a plan the whole time, from the degree she wasn't sure what to do with, to her reluctance in moving to Owasso. Hunter's story encourages us to simply say "yes" to God.
