Carrying on from last weeks discussion I take away several of the points the Joe was able to make, and much of the information he provided. In the moment, when we may find ourselves in the midst of one of these "events", we truly do have to be our own first responder, and rely solely on ourselves to get through that experience. There's many misconceptions and outright poor habits that align us for failure, both as prepared individuals and as a society. I compare the New Orleans attack and skills one would potentially carry into such an occurrence, and contrast it to the 2015 attack in Paris and dissect how those two may differ. This is a problem that we all face, and that surely isn't going away any time soon. Lead with purpose with a degree from Trevecca. Find out more here. Today, on the podcast, we kick off a mini-series of Q&A with Christine Caine, hosted by Equip & Empower team member, Mattie Meese. In this episode, Christine Caine shares how prayer is the foundation of her life and ministry. Listen in to find encouragement today if you've ever wrestled with how to pray or struggled with unanswered prayers. SHOW NOTES: First Response For Christine and Nick, prayer has become a first response when navigating challenging situations in life, but it's also their first response when things are going well. Prayer is not regulated only for times of crisis but also for times of praise. “Open Mouth. Pray” A Christian speaker from South Korea forever impacted Christine when she challenged an audience to not overcomplicate prayer. She said you simply need to open your mouth, then pray. Dependency Upon God Christine shares that she cannot provide the breakthroughs needed in her life and ministry. However, prayer invites God's divine activity into our lives, expressing our utter dependence upon the Lord and our need for his intervention. Community Responders: Strengthening First Response

On this episode, PPG's own Senior Community Researcher Colleen Kristich & Charis Humphrey, Youth Engagement Coordinator with ECRJC, discuss a newly released report that calls for Buffalo and Erie County to invest in community responders.  Community responders are a new type of first responder who responds to nonviolent calls without the police. Over 100 American cities now utilize community responder teams to address low-level health and social needs, which saves police and ambulances time and allows them to respond faster to higher-priority calls. In Buffalo today, over 80% of 911 calls to Buffalo Police do not involve crime or violence, and yet police are almost always sent – an approach that is dangerous, unnecessary, costly, and ineffective. Instead, community responder teams composed of health professionals and peers can be safely deployed without the police to many of these calls and prevent situations from escalating into crises. An initial $100,000 in state funding has been secured by Senator Sean Ryan to begin community outreach, training, and data collection for a pilot community responder program in Buffalo. The press conference was hosted by The Community Responders for Erie County Coalition comprised the Erie County Restorative Justice Coalition, Partnership for the Public Good, Little People's Victory, VOICE Buffalo, and Evergreen Health. And like many other communities across the country – Seattle is feeling the ripple effects of this crisis.  First Response  — a new series from Cascade Public Media's podcast Northwest Reports — takes a deeper look at how the medical professionals on the front line of this crisis are handling the influx of patients with gunshot wounds, and treating the long-term impacts of gun violence. Send me a Text Message! The people in Acts were devoted to prayer, not just as a means to an end, but they were devoted to being with God, with Jesus in prayer. The early church prayed like prayer really mattered. They saw prayer as a necessary preparation for God's Work. (In fact you might argue that they saw prayer as the work, not just preparation for work.) They were constantly together and constantly in prayer. Prayer was not an afterthought or a whispered moment in the midst of the day. It was an intentional, sustained, unified, passionately devoted effort.  Is prayer our first response or our last resort?

Ephesians 6:18 GW Pray in the Spirit in every situation. Use every kind of prayer and request there is.    Exodus 25:8-9 NLT “Have the people of Israel build me a holy sanctuary so I can live among them. You must build this Tabernacle and its furnishings exactly according to the pattern I will show you.  Exodus 33:11 NLT Inside the Tent of Meeting, the LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend.    Matthew 5:17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”  1.  The Outer Court: Give God THANKS.    Psalm 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.  2.  The Brazen Altar: Focus on THE CROSS.    Romans 5:6 NLT When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.  Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. 3.  The Laver: OFFER every part of MY LIFE to God.    Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship.  4.  The Candlestick: Invite the work of the HOLY SPIRIT in my life.    2 Timothy 1:6-7 NLT This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.  5.  The Table of Showbread: Claim the promises in GOD'S WORD.    Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'”  6.  The Altar of Incense: WORSHIP His NAME.    Psalm 95:6-7 Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.    Proverbs 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.  7.  The Ark of the Covenant: INTERCEDE for others.    1 Timothy 2:1-2 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.    Prayer should be our FIRST RESPONSE, not our LAST RESORT.  --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/coastalchurch/message

This sermon was recorded on November 18th 2023. I was blocked from uploading it until today. It is a Holy Spirit inspired sermon about the truths around mental health and how we need to train up our First Responders with spiritual health like the military does with their chaplains for veterans and veteran spouses/families. Vote for Trump when it comes time because it has been his Warriors of Light that have protected me and helped me to be free to be myself and grow into this Global Mental Health Ambassador and Chief Spiritual Officer of America woman you know today. My husband owns every title along with me because there are no prenups. People tried to kill us when he asked to retire from his assignment protecting Trump after pretending that they were working together from the Biden Administration to provide me protections.  He and his team chose to deceive which is of the enemy, Lucifer, BAAL, Baphamet. Anything not of the Father.  I will forgive all of these men and women for what they chose to do, breaking their oaths to protect me as an American Citizens but we are not going to sweep what they have done to Trump and my husband under the rug. My husband served our country in wars and was not under any contracts. They erase all records of his life and my life and tried to erase the RECORD OF MY MARRIAGE AND CALLED MY MOM AND TRIED TO LIE TO HER. ENOUGH. President Trump gets back in the White House. Enough lies. No One Believes You Biden. Hitler aint got nothing on you. Jesus came to bring us FREEDOM from RELIGION and showed us how to LOVE people. Faith First Response is an extension of Jesus' love to the world without any expectation of conversion. Faith in your deity so strong that you don't even need a call to action. People will come willingly because the fruit of the spirit is evident in your walk (Galatians 5:22-26 - written by Paul who used to kill Christians but stopped because the Father blinded him for 3 days and he converted). I come from the bloodline of King David and Jesus Christ came through the same bloodline. They have committed crimes against me for 3 years and my warriors of light have traced all the rats
