In this episode, I'm welcoming Sarah Allred back to share her inspiring journey from realizing she needed self-care to actually living it. After a major breakthrough in MACROS 101, Sarah has spent the last six months shifting from seeing self-care as an escape to truly refilling her cup. She opens up about the practical mindset shifts that helped her, including the powerful question she now asks herself: "What do I need in this moment?" If you've ever struggled to move from “doing” self-care to truly “being” in a state of self-care, I think you'll resonate with this conversation. In this episode, we continue our streak of interviews with the authors of our new book series, Themes in the Doctrine and Covenants. And today we've got a fascinating conversation with Dr. Mason Allred about his volume, Seeing.Dr. Allred is an Associate Professor of Communication, Media and Culture at Brigham Young University, Hawaii. He studied history with an emphasis on film and media studies, and he's published a number of books on visual culture. Basically, how everything from movies and TV to social media, art, print publications, and even advertising, shapes our lives and our society. So this made him the perfect person to write about spiritual sight in the Doctrine and Covenants. Not just the amazing visions of Joseph Smith, but how the ordinary act of looking can become a sacred practice for each one of us.
When men grow up without clear role models or a sense of purpose, they're left to navigate life without a map. The result is frustration, uncertainty, and a quiet struggle to figure out where they fit in a world that often tells them they're either too much or not enough. Strength isn't about aggression, and confidence isn't about dominance—real masculinity comes from knowing who you are and standing firm in it. Reclaiming that means tuning out the noise, finding mentors who challenge and support growth, and building a life rooted in discipline, integrity, and self-respect.Adam Allred, an entrepreneur, speaker, and social media influencer, is known for his candid take on masculinity and personal growth. Raised in a military family, his adaptability and communication skills helped him build multiple businesses, including a garbage company he sold for $3.5 million. Today, he shares insights on the challenges modern men face, reflecting on his experiences in door-to-door sales, business success, and navigating relationships. Join in as young leaders pose inquiries about life, personal development, and beyond!Quotes: “Life isn't happening to you, it's happening for you. Whatever happens is a blessing.” – Adam Allred“Weakness cannot exist in a power evolving universe, and so there's no place for weakness here. Complacency is death.” – Adam Allred“The greatest threat right now to society is weak masculinity, and we have to own that. We can't blame it on women. We can't blame it on our problems. This is a man issue.” – Adam Allred“The default setting of a human being is to seek challenges and tackle hard things. When they started walking, no one had to encourage them—they just went for it. They'd fall, get back up, and keep going.” – Matt BeaudreauTakeaways:Commit to never quitting when facing challenges, using setbacks as opportunities to develop personal character and resilience.Practice switching between different "masculinity hats" by being intentional about your energy and approach in various life roles (husband, father, entrepreneur).Identify and challenge societal programming that limits your potential, focusing on continuous self-improvement and authentic personal growth.Have honest, open conversations with your children about real-world challenges, supporting their individual passions without forcing conformity.Set clear boundaries in relationships, understanding that respect matters more than being "nice" - be willing to walk away if core values are consistently disrespected. Conclusion:Real masculinity isn't defined by meeting outside expectations but by having the courage to grow, stand by one's principles, and contribute to others without losing a sense of identity. It requires discipline, accountability, and the strength to make difficult but necessary choices. A man who respects himself and his values doesn't seek approval—he builds a life rooted in purpose and conviction. In the end, true strength comes not from dominance or validation, but from the quiet confidence of knowing who you are and what you stand for.

Masculinity is under attack, and Kaylor Betts isn't afraid to say it. In this explosive episode of the Awake & Winning Podcast, Kaylor sits down with Adam Allred—an outspoken advocate for traditional masculinity, personal accountability, and self-mastery. Adam is a husband and father of four (trying for more), an entrepreneur with a specialized focus in D2D marketing, and the founder of a social movement dedicated to “making men great again.” Together, they break down the war against strong men, the rise of weak, passive males, and why society is crumbling under the weight of failed leadership and radical ideology. From dissecting the myth of “toxic masculinity” to exposing how feminism was hijacked to break down the traditional family, this episode pulls no punches. Adam argues that every broken woman can trace her wounds back to a man who failed to lead, while Kaylor lays out exactly why men are lost in today's world—distracted by comfort, addicted to numbing vices, and terrified to embrace their true nature. If you've ever felt like something is off in society—like men are being encouraged to be soft, aimless, and weak—this episode is your wake-up call. Strap in, because Kaylor and Adam are here to make men great again. Episode Highlights: masculinity, feminism, toxic masculinity, leadership, strong men, weak men, the attack on masculinity, traditional values, modern feminism, men's mental health, adversity, self-respect Takeaways: Masculinity is about imposing order, but it must be done for good Society has demonized strong, healthy masculinity and promoted weakness Feminism was hijacked to destroy both men and traditional femininity Strong men create strong families, and weak men create broken societies Adversity is essential—men must do hard things to grow Comfort is the enemy of masculinity; avoid porn, booze, and social media numbing Take responsibility—everything in your life is your fault, and that's a good thing If you enjoyed the episode, please be sure to take a screenshot and share it out on Instagram and tag @thekaylorbetts. I'm super excited to bring you this conversation with Tyson Allred. Tyson is the founder of Copper John's, a natural men's grooming and beard care brand. He is also half of the team that makes up Dad Bods and Beards (hey, I have both of those!), which is a community and podcast centered around positive portrayals of masculinity and the acknowledgment of the work it takes to overcome some of the more toxic elements of being socialized male (hmm...sounds familiar?) Tyson and his partner Logan do it from a whiter, straighter lens, which I think might move the needle in Red America a little more than I might be able to. Tyson and I discuss everything from body positivity to cold plunges to work/life balance to the mission of Dad Bods and Beards--stuff we usually cover on this pod, but the experiences of our guests make these topics unique to every episode, and my chat with Tyson is no exception. We also chat a little bit about my queer journey, and give the DBAB team props for being allies (which I imagine is not easy to do when you're Mormon and in Utah). I hope you enjoy our conversation. Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

“You have to have a never quit, never say die attitude. Because even if you're working hard, even if you're coachable and teachable, you are going to have moments in business, many moments in business, where you want to quit. And you're going to have every good reason in the world to quit.”Sales is the lifeblood of any business, and success in it isn't about having a specific personality—it's about discipline, adaptability, and grit. The key to winning in sales is a mix of relentless work ethic, coachability, and an unshakable refusal to quit. If you can embrace rejection, learn from every interaction, and refine your approach, you'll master the game. And beyond making the sale, the real art is in customer retention—reminding clients why they chose you in the first place. People forget the value they receive unless you make it clear, and that's a fundamental business principle.Adam Allred shares his journey from door-to-door sales to multi-million dollar business exits, emphasizing that selling is about energy transfer and authenticity. His insights dismantle the myth that only extroverts thrive in sales—anyone can win if they master the right mindset. He also highlights how market adaptation is crucial, recounting his experiences adjusting sales techniques based on regional differences.Adam Allred is a serial entrepreneur with a background in door-to-door sales, having built and sold multiple businesses, including a garbage company and a pest control empire. In September 2024, Thalia Graves filed a lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs, accusing him and his former head of security, Joseph Sherman, of raping her in the summer of 2001. The lawsuit claims that Graves, then 25, was lured to a meeting at Combs' Bad Boy Records studio, where she was allegedly drugged, bound, and raped by both men. The lawsuit also alleges that the assault was recorded on video without her consent, and that the footage was later distributed as pornography.Graves has spoken publicly about the severe emotional trauma she has suffered since the alleged incident, including PTSD, flashbacks, and suicidal thoughts. The lawsuit, filed under the New York City Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, seeks compensatory and punitive damages, as well as the removal of all copies of the video. This lawsuit is one of several against Combs, who was recently arrested on separate federal charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering. In our first episode of a new 2025 season, hosts Ellen Boyd (NCSPRA Executive Director) and Kevin Smith (Orange County Schools) chat with Susan Allred and Dr. Beverly Emory Britton, co-authors of a new book that is quickly becoming a standard text for educators now preparing to lead in a time of rapidly shape-shifting challenges. In "Stuff That Works, Works!" our guests, good friends and richly experienced education leaders at the local and state level, argue that in uncertain times, truth and hope remain as the constant anchors for schools and school leaders. Through systems of continuous improvement focused on serving each and every child, leaders ensure the quality and efficacy of public schools for the communities they serve and help to build. Their stories in this episode are just a sampling of what readers will find in the book, which was published in late 2024. Their own experiences and interviews with education leaders from North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, and Kentucky are the subject of this text which is already assigned reading for doctoral students at High Point University and the subject of book clubs and discussions bringing educators together. Susan Allred is a mentor in continuous improvement processes, having served public schools for 42 years. After working as a teacher and administrator, she came out of retirement to help improve low-performing schools across Kentucky in the administration of commissioner Dr. Terry Holliday. She lives in the mountains of North Carolina. Dr. Beverly Emory Britton is a leadership coach for public schools, having served public schools for 41 years. Following her tenure as a teacher, principal, PIO, and superintendent, Dr. Emory (or "Bev") served as Deputy Superintendent in the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and a leader for school communicators and administrators in our state during change management processes that included the state's response to COVID-19. She lives on the coast of North Carolina. We are grateful to these stars of education leadership for sharing their wisdom and insights with the show. “Men need to get their house in order. This isn't a female issue—it's a masculine issue right now.”In a world that seems intent on erasing traditional masculinity, the need for strong, purpose-driven men has never been greater. The modern narrative has left many men struggling to define their roles, disconnected from their inherent strengths, and unprepared to face life's challenges. The solution lies in reclaiming the values of resilience, responsibility, and community, which have long been at the heart of what it means to be a man. Men need to rediscover their purpose, rebuild their tribes, and stop letting societal pressures dilute their potential.Drawing from decades of experience mentoring young men, our guest, Adam Allred, identifies how societal narratives have stripped men of the framework they need to thrive. He emphasizes that many young men today lack the tools to face adversity because they've been conditioned to avoid it. He explores the devastating consequences of fatherless homes, the erosion of male mentorship, and the societal shift that isolates men from their tribes. Yet, his insights aren't just critiques—they're a call to action. By reconnecting with other men, embracing responsibility, and prioritizing their roles within families and communities, men can reclaim their strength and purpose.Adam is a seasoned entrepreneur, sales expert, and advocate for modern masculinity. With over 20 years of experience training and mentoring thousands of young men in the high-pressure world of door-to-door sales, he's seen firsthand the struggles and triumphs of building resilience. Today, he uses his platform to inspire men of all ages to reject societal narratives that weaken them and embrace the values of strength, leadership, and purpose.Learn more and connect:• The End of Woman by Carrie Gress• Jordan Peterson's talks on the patriarchy and masculinity@AdamAllredOfficialYou're invited to come to a Sovereign Circle meeting to experience it for yourself. Sermon preached by Brian Allred over Daniel 5 on January 19, 2025.
Gene and cohost Tim Swartz introduce Robert Allred, author of "Military Encounters With UFOs: Explanations and Combat Strategies." So military bodies around our planet have encountered, and even clashed with, UFOs, or as the U.S. military now defines them, Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena – UAP. These observations and engagements have occurred for well over a century, at least, and on all continents. This book takes a no-nonsense approach in its careful research, with hundreds of sources cited, including formerly classified documents and testimony regarding UFOs/UAP. As readers will discover from the mass of evidence presented in this book, it is no longer a question of whether UFOs exist or not. Such phenomena are an incontrovertible fact that, according to Allred, has prompted the United States to craft plans on how to resist an alien invasion. Is there any need for humans to be concerned about the alien presence in the skies surrounding our planet? The author says, essentially, be very concerned. Allred studied at the University of California, Berkeley and undertook a ‘study abroad' summer session, attending history courses at the University of Sussex while taking in the pastoral landscapes of southern England. He currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area, spending his leisure time on his California ranch.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-paracast-the-gold-standard-of-paranormal-radio--6203433/support.

Joseph Sherman, formerly a bodyguard for Sean "Diddy" Combs, has filed a defamation lawsuit against Thalia Graves and her attorney, Gloria Allred. This legal action follows Graves' allegations that, in 2001, both Combs and Sherman drugged, bound, and raped her at a Bad Boy Entertainment recording studio, recording the assault and distributing it as pornography. In his lawsuit, Sherman asserts that he ceased working for Combs in 1999 and has never met Graves, labeling her claims as "utterly and entirely false." He contends that Graves contacted him in November 2023, seeking his cooperation as a witness against Combs in exchange for excluding him from legal proceedings. Sherman includes alleged messages from Graves in his lawsuit to support this claim.Sherman argues that the accusations have caused significant harm to his reputation and livelihood. His lawsuit includes counts of defamation, emotional distress, negligence, and abuse of process against Graves, Allred, and other associated parties. This countersuit emerges amid a series of legal challenges facing Combs, who was arrested in September 2024 on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. Graves' lawsuit is among nearly 30 filed against Combs and his associates, with Sherman's countersuit being the first from a defendant in these cases.(commercial at 7:28)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Diddy's ex-bodyguard sues rape accuser for defamationBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

He has pleaded not guilty to those charges and remains jailed without bail.source:Sean "Diddy" Combs accused of rape, recording alleged attack in newly filed lawsuit - CBS Los Angeles (cbsnews.com)In the second segment...Joseph Sherman, Sean "Diddy" Combs' former head of security, has strongly denied the allegations made by Thalia Graves in her recent lawsuit. Graves accuses both Combs and Sherman of drugging, raping, and recording her without her consent in 2001 at Combs' Bad Boy Records studio. Sherman maintains that the claims are entirely fabricated, and his defense highlights that Graves allegedly contacted him multiple times following the incident, which he suggests undermines the credibility of her accusations.Sherman, aligning with Combs' legal stance, contends that the lawsuit is part of a broader attempt to bring false charges against them, given the current legal pressures Combs is facing. Both men are expected to contest Graves' claims vigorously in court, seeking to prove their innocence. The case against them, however, has garnered significant attention, particularly given Combs' other legal issues, including charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering.source:Debauched life of Diddy bodyguard 'Big Joe' revealed in unearthed photos that show him partying with naked women and megastars | Daily Mail OnlineJoseph Sherman, formerly a bodyguard for Sean "Diddy" Combs, has filed a defamation lawsuit against Thalia Graves and her attorney, Gloria Allred. It doesn't take long to recognize pop culture's influence on the work of Michael Allred. Whether we're talking Madman, X-Statix, or Silver Surfer, his comics radiate his passion for music, art, and life. Some references are easy to spot, a few a little trickier, and others impossible unless you know the man personally. For us, his comics mostly equal comfort, a place to rush into and join for an hour or a bit longer. We adore many of Michael Allred's influences. So, our primary mission on this week's podcast was to dig thoroughly into one particular shared obsession, the nineteen-sixties boy band sensation, The Monkees. If you know Lisa, you're not at all surprised. If this is your first time listening to Comic Book Couples Counseling, you may need a touch more context. We'll get into it. Clover Press is currently crowdfunding The Marvel Art of Michael Allred on Kickstarter (Click Here To Check It Out). It's an enormous hardcover book showcasing Allred's greatest achievements within the House of Ideas, including our beloved Silver Surfer, but it's also peppered with pieces you may have missed over the years. As an avid art book collector, Michael Allred knows what fanatics like himself crave in such tomes, and he was determined to deliver the goods to the like-minded. Today's episode is a conversation we never imagined having when we launched the podcast, but considering how our show began with Norrin Radd and Dawn Greenwood, this surprise actually feels like the logical next chapter in our weird relationship experiment. It's even more special when, halfway through our conversation with Michael Allred, we're joined by his loving wife and collaborator, Laura Allred. We discuss how The Monkees simmer within every Michael Allred panel, the long-lasting effects of his collaboration with Dan Slott on Silver Surfer, how Michael and Laura learned to work together, and what an art book can mean when constructed with passion and thoughtful consideration. As of this writing, The Marvel Art of Michael Allred has seventeen days left in its Kickstarter campaign. Act quickly. Also, be sure to follow Michael Allred on Twitter, Instagram, and his website.
