Developing a sense of love and family within your business leads to greater success. Jake Sasseville is the CEO and Founder of Imiloa Institute in Costa Rica, where he helps to cultivate experiences that incite a profound sense of growth. When developing growth and comradery in your business, start with yourself and be committed to your own growth and authenticity first, and this will directly reflect on your business. The sense of happiness and fulfillment within a company should be judged by the quality of life of its gardener and housekeeper equivalents, so when you ensure that you are compensating all your employees ethically and responsibly, everybody wins. To further deepen the sense of familiarization amongst your team, treat yourself and your team to transformational experiences like retreats that foster a sense of unity and relaxation. When you invest in yourself and your team in this way, the return on investment is clear, and you will see the results in your business.Notes:

Jake Sasseville, CEO of Imiloa Insitute, has been a successful podcast host, television personality and is a unique character creating space and connection for people to thrive. His journey is baked rich with life lessons, wisdom nuggets, entertaining twists, courageous leaps and inspiring growth leaps. In 2012, Hurricane Sandy washed away Jake's home on Broad Channel, NYC. His life up-ended, losing his TV contracts and being forced to move into Grandma's Basement, in Lewiston,Maine. Grandma's Basement, by those who follow him, have become synonymous with a Dark Night of the Soul. He lived there for two years, searching for what he would do next. After moving to Maui from his grandma's basement and becoming friends with Ram Dass and Shep Gordon, Sasseville became interested in the world of transformation as he saw the trend of health and wellness. He also was hosting people in his 2,500 square foot home and cottage in Kula, Hawaii. He created Imiloa in response to the trend toward health and wellness but also recognizing that human beings want to feel at home in their transformation. It is well known that Jake approached his soon-to-be-business partner Nadav Wilf four times with the idea of Imiloa before Wilf got inspired by the idea. The pair in 2017 notoriously raised $3.5 million in five Facebook posts, making a dent in the social impact world of investing by gathering 38 investors from 19 countries for Imiloa's formation. The first of 7 planned inter-continental institutes. Imiloa is in the Dominical mountains of Costa Rica. and is a transformational retreat center specializing in group experiences and eco-luxury with plant-based cuisine. Guests come here to awaken their consciousness. Jake Sasseville is one of the co-founders of Imiloa Institute, a world-class luxury retreat venue in the Jungle of Costa Rica. Jake and his partners and the team on-site build a truly transformational place. In his early twenties Jake hosted and produced his own TV show "The Edge with Jake Sasseville" and he started his podcast "The Jake Sasseville Show" already back in 2014 where he interviewed a wide variety of guests from sports, showbiz, best-selling authors and musicians or transformational coaches. Jake has been on his very own transformational journey and I found it remarkable how open he spoke on his podcast about his life challenges. On Imiloas website it says: “Imiloa Institute invites guests to awaken their consciousness by creating the experience of home.” If you listen to this episode you will hear Jake's story and you will get a sense of how much that is connected to his own story.

Mindrolling and Raghu have a new best friend! Jake Sasseville of the Jake Sasseville podcast is a unique human who has been in show biz from a very early age. Jake shares a very traumatic family story which eventually tripped him onto the spiritual path in a very substantial way. Raghu shares Ram Dass' words in respect to Jake's reflections on suffering - "Every moment of your life is your vehicle for awakening". R&J chat about the tension between taking actions in your life and the reality that everything is already written and we just need to relax and let Grace happen. Also on the table is a discussion around the seven ways spiritual people bullshit themselves. #1 being the power of positive thinking - Raghu admits to his disdain for the new age model and his subsequent reaction to his own judgmental mind. We always have to remember though that there is more than one motivation for every action we take - why not focus on the positive?
I have been working on a new podcast for the last couple weeks and I promise that I'm almost done. You know when you are trying to balance your professional life and your creative life and you just suck balls at it? Well that's where I'm at. In the Mean time, Jake Sasseville, called me a couple weeks ago, and asked if he could flip the script on me, and give me a taste of my own medicine. I met jake years ago, and we shared a common love, radio. Jake had started his own show, basically in his basement as a young tween. So after a really long day at work I went home, had almost a bottle of Rose and tried to explain to him all the failures and decisions that have shaped me into the person I am today. It's been amazing to receive so much love and hate recently, and I guess this is a bit of explanation of what i'm trying to do? I don't know. You can listen to all his beautiful interviews ProfoundlyHuman.com and on Sticher http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/the-jake-sasseville-show
