“How do we adjust to the drudgery?” Martha was asked this question by Ro when they returned home from a wonderful stay at the Imiloa Institute in the Costa Rican jungle. A lot of upkeep is required to sustain ordinary living, and much of daily life gets consumed by repetitive tasks. In this episode of The Gathering Room, Martha talks about a shift we can make to transform drudgery into beauty. In traditions where they have the concept of awakening or enlightenment, Martha says, the emphasis is not on what you do, but how you do it. It's the quality of presence in your body, mind, heart, and spirit while you carry out each task. As the Zen saying goes, “Before enlightenment: Chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment: Chop wood, carry water.” When you are fully present and engaging with all of your senses, any experience can become sublime, even mundane tasks like washing the dishes. You can look at even the simplest object and say, “You are so beautiful.” To get more insights about transforming drudgery into a spiritual practice, tune in for the full episode, which also includes Martha's guided Silence, Stillness, and Space meditation. And if a retreat with Martha sounds like just the thing to help you return to your life with fresh eyes, read about her Pure.Wild.Self Retreat in Costa Rica at the link below!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this episode of The Healers Café, Manon Bolliger (Deregistered naturopathic physician with 30 years of experience in health), talks with Lee Davy Creator 5D Breathwork, Super Connector. For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/lee-davy Highlights from today's episode include: Lee Davy 07:02 Yeah, I mean, for me, like, what was coming through is, and I don't know, I don't know why I think there's a there's a misconception for maybe people starting out of like, oh, this is going to be too painful. Or it's, you know, I can't do this, or I can't revisit that, or information me, it's just like with each...with each layer that comes up with each level of awareness, or layer of healing, it's like, there's just more freedom, it doesn't get harder, it gets easier. Now, sometimes it goes a little bit deeper, and might feel a little bit more painful. But it's for like, a shorter space of time. And that on, or at least for me, I know that on the other side of it, is more freedom, right, and more of who I truly am. Lee Davy It's another…there's another layer of, and there's always more layers, almost like the layers of an onion, of feeling of awareness of connection of wholeness. of experiencing love, you know. So, it's like, just to have that perspective and move through those layers and realize that, oh, if I am going through something perceived difficult, or an obstacle or are less than optimal, it's just an opportunity. Dressed up in a little bit of work clothes. And when I get through it, there's more freedom, there's more, there's more of who I truly am, you know, that divine aspect of who I truly am, you know, beyond the illusion that I get to embody, that I get to bring to the table. Lee Davy If we're designed to breathe in our own co2, we'd probably look quite a bit different than we do. And so, that's why I love the breath because just having an understanding that by lowering our co2 levels and taking in deep, full, intentional breaths, how it actually liberates stored energy from the cells and it lowers inflammation, and by practicing different holds, we're actually allowing the cells and the proteins to recycle and regenerate and repair. Like, and that's just that's just the tip of the iceberg of what's happening physiologically when we're doing the these breathing sessions you mentioned the mind and the conscious mind, the thinking mind shuts down and you come into a peace and a more coherent brainwave state and the body gets flooded with all kinds of beautiful virus fighting chemistry and feel good hormones and endorphins. This Earth Day, consider how you could "get yourself in order," to be a better steward of the planet. The Kogi are one of four indigenous tribes who live on Sierra Madre in Colombia. They have a rich oral history which has been passed down verbally from generation to generation for thousands of years. The Kogi culture remains intact as they were not conquered by the Spaniards during the colonization of Colombia. They seek to live in harmony with nature, and to steward the earth responsibly. In Tinamaste, Costa Rica, I was able to sit and listen to a teaching from a Mamo of the Kogis. A mamo is a spiritual leader who has undergone life-long training in Earth stewardship, some spending up to 36 years of their life in a cave. The mamos are bringing their knowledge down from the mountain to share with other first nations and little brothers in service of the planet. In this episode you will hear Mamo Atillo's message, spoken through a bridge (interpreter), named KandyMaku. The message is in Spanish, with translation to English. Before the message, I have included a conversation between myself and India, who translated from Spanish to English at the talk in Tinamaste. We discuss the Kogi people and their cosmology, and the journey they are on to speak to people around the world and help activate certain points in order to raise a healing for the planet that is suffering from destructive human activity. India is indigenous from the matriarchy Bri-Bri tribe, from the mountains of Talamanca on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. She is co-founder and COO of Imiloa Institute, an intercontinental institute for the education and advancement of humanity. Imiloa is hosting an Earth Guardian Training from June 4-14th, 2020 where the Mamos will introduce initiates to sacred consultation techniques and reactivation principles, already within the energy grid of our Mother Earth.
