Jerry Krause, an American missionary pilot, vanished in April 2013 while flying over West Africa. He was a highly experienced pilot, known for his decades of humanitarian work, including delivering supplies and providing transport for missionaries and aid workers throughout Africa. Initially, it was believed that his plane had crashed, but no wreckage was ever found. The mystery took a strange twist when a secret operative contacted his family, claiming that Jerry was still alive and being held hostage. With puzzling clues that may or may not be credible, the question remains: What really happened to Jerry Krause? Listen as we dive into West Africa, the case of Jerry Krause, and how to stay alive on vacation. Vinnie and Jason compare the situation to Derrick Rose's knee injuries before wondering if this is the year Embiid finally gets over his playoff struggles.Vinnie asks the question, after watching the Dallas Mavericks destroy the Houston Rockets on Sunday, if the Mavericks are party-crashers in the playoffs that could pull off an upset (or two). Since they are currently lined up to go against the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round, the guys talk about how those two teams stack up and why the Clippers are built in a way that could equal a run to the Finals.Vince and Jason discuss women's basketball, which is having a moment with a tournament absolutely filled with star players, and why fans of the sport should be wary of getting more attention from the national sports media. Finally, the guys talk about the Chicago Bulls. They go all the way back to the Michael Jordan-led Bulls dynasty, The Last Dance, defending Jerry Krause, why the Derrick Rose-Jimmy Butler pairing didn't last, the mistakes the team has made with coaching and development, the future of Zach LaVine, the ascension of Coby White and a lot more.Check out the rest of the Yahoo Sports podcast family at https://apple.co/3zEuTQj or at Yahoo Sports PodcastsSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

On today's episode I talk about an article in the NY Post by Phil Mushnick. Mushnick wrote about the ugly fan response during the recent Bulls Ring of Honor ceremony. During the ceremony, when the late Jerry Krause's name was introduced many in the stands booed. The reaction brought Jerry's widow Thelma to tears. I play the recording of the event along with the comments from former Bull and current Bulls TV analyst Stacey King. Kings, to his credit, called out the fans who booed Krause. The problem is in today's society these things appear to be more of the norm than the exception. How low do you have to be to boo a dead man in front of his widow and grandchildren! Awful! The booing of the late Jerry Krause by Chicago Bulls fans during last Friday's Ring of Honor ceremony made national headlines. But it also spurred a re-examination of Krause's role in the franchise's dynasty era and elicited defenses by many who recognize the role that the late GM played in the six titles. Kevin Kaduk, Mark Carman, Kacy Standohar and Lawrence Benedetto are joined by Bulls historian Jack Silverstein to wonder if that's the last time we'll see Krause's name booed in the United Center. Also on the show: New stadium plans from the White Sox, Kerry Wood and Aramis Ramirez going into the Cubs Hall of Fame before Sammy Sosa and more talk about the most important offseason in Chicago Bears history. Is it time to add Colorado coach Deion Sanders to Katt Williams' list of entertainment and sports industry plants? It certainly looks that way to Whitlock. How else would you explain the head coach of a college football team allowing two of his star players, his sons Shedeur and Shiloh, to skip the first team meeting of the year to parade up and down a fashion runway in Paris. And we've discovered yet another unbelievable story from Stephen A. Smith's past that until now has gone unquestioned and undisputed. Steve Kim joins “Fearless” to weigh in on the Sanders fashion strut, Stephen A.'s newest yarn, and unloads on Chicago Bulls fans making Jerry Krause's widow cry mid-court during the Ring of Honor ceremony. The CHGO Bulls crew break down the Bulls 140-131 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Friday night. The Bulls' electric, beautiful team basketball in the first half - which led to 75 points - couldn't withstand the Warriors onslaught of the third quarter. Klay Thompson led a furious rally, and the Bulls defense allowed 48 points in the twelve minutes following halftime. Perhaps it was karma, after Bulls fans rained boos down from their seats when Jerry Krause's name was called by Neil Funk during the Ring of Honor ceremony. Matt, Big Dave and Mark offer their takes on the behavior from Bulls fans, and what causes that lingering hatred for Krause. Will joins the guys from the United Center to offer his thoughts on the game, the ceremony, and insights from the postgame locker room.
