⬥EPISODE NOTES⬥ At Infosecurity Europe 2026, Sean Martin sits down with Rik Ferguson, Vice President of Security Intelligence at Forescout, a day before Rik Ferguson takes the keynote stage with a deliberately provocative title: "Post-Quantum Cryptography Is a Way Off. We Can Wait, Can't We?" The honest answer, he says, is that waiting is a choice, and it is the wrong one. The threat is neither theoretical nor distant. Rik Ferguson walks through why the infrastructure for harvest-now, decrypt-later attacks already exists, pointing to Salt Typhoon, to BGP rerouting by unfriendly nations, and to intelligence agencies stockpiling encrypted data they cannot read yet but expect to read later. With NIST placing Q Day around 2035, Google pointing at 2029, and IBM's fault-tolerant Starling system slated for 2029, the distance between "someday" and "the hardware you purchase this year" has effectively closed. Sean Martin keeps steering the conversation back to the business. The parallel both of them keep returning to is Y2K, which became a non-event precisely because people did the work. The quantum question, Rik Ferguson argues, is not only about security or resilience, it is a budget and procurement question: which data has a long enough shelf life to still matter when it is finally decrypted? Pharmaceutical R&D, merger and acquisition strategy, sovereign debt positions, and legal negotiations all live under an assumed umbrella of privacy that encryption may not hold. The most unsettling point is what a harvest-now attack does to incident response. There is no time-bounding. Adversaries could have been collecting for a decade, and the first sign of trouble arrives only when the data is weaponized or made public, leaving the investigation disabled by chronology alone. Rik Ferguson closes with a message that reaches past cryptography itself: as attacks move toward autonomy, defense has to as well, which is why he wants the industry to move past Assume Breach and into Assume Autonomy. ⬥HOST⬥ Sean Martin, CISSP -- Co-Founder, ITSPmagazine & Studio C60 | Host, Redefining CyberSecurity Podcast & Music Evolves Podcast | https://www.seanmartin.com/ ⬥GUEST⬥ Rik Ferguson, Vice President of Security Intelligence, Forescout | https://www.linkedin.com/in/rikferguson/ ⬥RESOURCES⬥ Infosecurity Europe 2026 is taking place June 2-4, 2026 | ExCeL London -- Follow our coverage: https://www.itspmagazine.com/infosecurity-europe-2026-infosec-london-cybersecurity-event-coverage The Future of Cybersecurity Newsletter | https://www.linkedin.com/newsletters/7108625890296614912/ Redefining CyberSecurity Podcast | https://www.seanmartin.com/redefining-cybersecurity-podcast On Location | https://www.itspmagazine.com/on-location ⬥KEYWORDS⬥ sean martin, rik ferguson, infosecurity europe, post-quantum cryptography, pqc, harvest now decrypt later, hndl, q day, quantum computing, encryption, salt typhoon, quantum agility, crypto agility, post-quantum migration, procurement, on location, itspmagazine Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Monday's 7am hour of Mac & Cube began with the news that Chaz Coleman allegedly isn't on Tennessee's roster any more and how the Portal Rankings might not be so accurate; then, Paul Finebaum, from the SEC Network, tells us why baseball & softball have become more valuable to the SEC, how helpful the recent Congressional Bill will actually be, and why he expects Lane Kiffin to be the talk of SEC Media Days; later, Cole & Greg like that the Big 12 is offering officiating transparency by having a replay operations center; and finally, the guys get asked how many humans out there could successfully QB an NFL team? Welcome back! On this week's episode, we talk about the NBA Playoffs and who we want to see win now that our (Dennis and Harold's) beloved Lakers have been eliminated. And then afterwards, we talk the state of the Star Wars universe, as we delve in to what we would like to see coming from the creatives in charge, and if we think they need to cater to newer or older fans. What do you guys think? Where do you want to see the Star Wars Galaxy move to? This episode was recorded before we knew who was going to be in the Finals, and also before we watched The Mandalorian and Grogu, which should have a review forthcoming.
Scotty827 is back with House of El's own WarPig! Before the sneak peeks of the newest update that would eventually find Scotty and WarPig in deep disappointment - there were two nerds attempting to guess at what was coming! Even armed with some information, you won't believe how spectacularly wrong we get it! Plus, (in between being off the mark) we talk our Clash days and routines, CWL, and catch up WarPig's progress in the game! All that, and everything Clashy!
There's a mental image a lot of us carry of what God's face looks like when we finally turn around and start walking home. Maybe you picture disappointment, or a long, tired sigh, or a face that's already made up its mind about you. But Jesus tells a story about a father who saw his son while he was still a long way off, and the father ran. This week's message is part of our ongoing series, The Good Fight, and we walk through what it actually looks like to draw near to God when you feel far from him. Drawing from Luke 11, 1 Timothy 6, James 4:8 to 10, and the three parables of Luke 15, we explore the difference between the omnipresence and the manifest presence of God, why holiness was never meant to keep us away, and how the love of the Father runs toward us before we ever have a chance to clean ourselves up.Paul tells Timothy to fight the good fight, but he doesn't tell him to fight it alone, and he doesn't tell him to fight it through performance. He tells him to run from evil and run toward God. That is the heart of pursuing holiness in the Christian life. We don't simply move away from sin. We move toward our Father. If you've ever felt like one of the put together religious people on the outside, or one of the put out people who feel too far gone, this message is for you. Two of sin's quietest lies are that God runs from you when you fail, and that your worth to him decreases with every wrong turn. The prodigal son sermon in Luke 15 dismantles both. Your Father is filled with compassion before you say a single word. Repentance is not what earns the embrace. Repentance is the debris that falls out of the collision of his love and your fallen humanity. So how do you actually pursue holiness this week? You just show up. You stand in the presence of the Lord. You let him love you. The confession will come. The change will come. But it comes after the embrace, never before.Scripture in this sermon: Luke 11 (the Lord's Prayer), 1 Timothy 6:11 to 12, James 4:8 to 10, and Luke 15 (the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the prodigal son).
In this Man! I Feel Like a Woman podcast segment, Mandy brings the real definitions, and Scotch and Tank once again prove they have no idea what women are talking about. This week, the guys try to explain: What it really means when a girl cuts her hair short What she’s saying when she says “I love that for you” Niacinamide Grain of rice length Skin lifting And the most dangerous question of all: “Do you like this?” See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
If creating content feels hard… you're probably making it harder than it needs to be.In this episode, I'm breaking down the exact apps that are making designers grow faster online and why it has nothing to do with talent and everything to do with systems. Because the truth is, the people you see winning on social media are not better… they're just more efficient. We're talking about how to simplify your entire content process using tools like Canva and Instagram's Edits app, and the one feature inside Edits that will completely change how you show up on camera.I'm also getting real about the frustration that comes with recording content, starting over, and feeling awkward… because yeah, I've been there too. But I'll show you why pushing through that is what builds confidence and actually makes this easier over time.Plus, we're switching gears and getting into this week's new country music releases, and a little rant on why it feels like everything suddenly has protein in it.If you're a designer (or honestly anyone) trying to grow online without burning out, this episode will help you work smarter, stay consistent, and finally start showing up.

The long-anticipated decision on the future of Twenty20 cricket in New Zealand still appears to be a way off. Speculation had been mounting that Monday was "D-Day" for New Zealand Cricket. The board had been expected to decide whether to back the proposed NZ-20 franchise competition, or pursue a plan to enter a New Zealand team in Australia's Big Bash League. However it appears the decision has been deferred - extending a process that has already exposed deep divisions within the sport. Sports editor Dana Johannsen spoke to Lisa Owen.

Key topics include Shane Beamer's struggles at South Carolina, Mike Norvell's unpredictable situation at Florida State, and Luke Fickell's make-or-break year with Wisconsin, all set against the backdrop of NIL and transfer portal trends. Brian Smith highlights the importance of in-state recruiting battles, critical player acquisitions, and commitment timing. There is no doubt that Air New Zealand has issues. In a week of company reports, the vast majority contained good news. Air New Zealand was a glaring exception. A national airline losing money in an industry that is booming doesn't make sense. They have engine issues – that is real and it's not over. They have eight grounded planes and planes that don't fly don't make money. They have issues getting planes, but that has been applicable to everyone. So it's a perfect storm of sorts. But if you read the report the engine compensation was $55 million, but the bottom line would have been $90 million if the engines were on the plane. But add $90 million to the loss and you still aren't making a lot of profit. They blame domestic demand, or lack of it. They blame increased charges and they are real. The cost-plus-accounting of landing charges and so on is not only material, but criminal, and the Government as a main shareholder needs to do more. Then enter David Seymour in election year who says we should sell the thing. "Go woke, go broke" and "they are too politically motivated," says Seymour. Seymour is wrong. We need a national airline. Just imagine the sale to a private operator and the thing tanks. A country needs an air network and Jetstar isn't it. The Government has saved Air New Zealand before, they could do it again as a country with no airline is not a country. But that doesn't mean Seymour is completely wrong; Air New Zealand is woke and it does have reputational issues. It has focused on uniforms and departure videos to a degree that is laughable. The great airlines like Emirates, Singapore, and Qatar have ordinary uniforms and ordinary videos, but world class product and a shedload of profit. That is where Air New Zealand is badly missing. Too often they charge first-world prices for budget services and domestically the services are not reliable enough. There is a line between their genuine issues and their brand issues. They do have problems, but they also don't look like all they could be and haven't for years. Some of it is a small country with a small population. Some of it is too much purple and too much PR around Cassava crisps and $800 flights to small towns. The CEO has a hell of a job. The turnaround, they say, is coming. If you read this week's report, I don't see it yet. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

At the end of Act 1, Iago counsels Roderigo, “Put money in thy purse.” What motivates Iago? His puzzling soliloquy. Act 2, the Turkish fleet has been scuttled by a storm, and the characters land one at a time on Cyprus. While waiting Iago engages Desdemona in a game of wit and she defends herself spiritedly. This is no passive, victimized Ophelia.

In today's Daily Fix:Bethesda's Todd Howard knows we want The Elder Scrolls 6, but is asking for patience as the game is "still a long way off." The original announcement came back in 2018—SEVEN YEARS AGO, if you're counting—and there has not been any new teasers since then. Howard also teased a possible shadowdrop, like what Bethesda did with The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered (although several detailed leaks leading up to the drop spoiled some of the surprise). In other news, Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto spoke about his minimal involvement with the Super Mario franchise, but is hoping he'll still be around for the series' 50th anniversary in 2035. And finally, Predator: Badlands has hit the ground running, reaching a franchise high opening weekend box office, and that's considering the two Alien vs Predator spinoffs.

Ch. 7 - No Way Off This Path from Journey of Insight Meditation by Eric Lerner SIX OF US ARRIVED at the International Meditation Center in Rangoon late in the afternoon of the day the retreat in memory of U Ba Khin was to begin. A charming, middle-aged Burmese gentleman who produced movies for a living met us at the gate and immediately took us on a tour of the grounds. After all the build-up and expectation that had surrounded our trip, it was difficult to appreciate the fact that we were actually there. All we could do was gawk as we followed our host around. The most prominent feature of the Center was the arrangement of the meditation cells, the small individual rooms where one was expected to sit in darkness and silence for most of the day. They surrounded a large central pagoda that contained the shrine room where U Ba Khin himself had sat in meditation.
