Rundown -    Intro - 00:35   John Jackson - 35:55   Troubadour Dave Gunders - 01:48:49   "New Last Chance" by Dave Gunders - 02:10:33   Outro - 02:15:37   This is a Jewish High Holidays freedom-loving special with the show's Ukraine correspondent, John Jackson. Jackson is back in Ukraine after returning to Colorado to repair his wounds. Follow John Jackson on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/@JJUkraine   The show begins with the host ripping deteriorating, sociopathic Trump for calling Kamala mentally impaired from birth, and everybody can see she's missing something. Trump is projecting and confessing. Jack Smith has an air-tight January 6 case, so Trump is threatening violence. John Jackson despises and fights fascism. He loves freedom. https://x.com/hissgoescobra   Still, the MAGA broadcast and social media sycophants stay on board with Trump despite his non-stop lying and dark threats. The mainstreaming of MAGA via Caplis Law and DA George Brauchler gets reviewed.    Tina Peters was the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder. She took part in Trump's Big Lie. Mesa County District Court Judge Matthew Barrett sentenced Peters to nine years, and we have heard the sound. Now, Judge Barrett is receiving threats. https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/colorado-judge-sentenced-election-denier-tina-peters-prison-114519167   Another election denier with power is Republican VP nominee J.D. Vance. John Jackson lets loose on the shady senator from Ohio who has decided to defame and destroy Ukraine as if an agent of Putin. Vance would surrender Kyiv and Kherson, two Ukrainian cities under attack.   Dots get connected to Trump, who will sell out Ukraine if elected, as he's done before. Consider the mobster strong arm Trump keeps putting on the heroic Volordomor Zelenskyy, the brave Jewish president of Ukraine. https://x.com/irgarner/status/1839688519955935400   Mark Cuban's strong guesting on white-boy podcasts gets played and reviewed. Cuban punches up at Musk and Trump, two rich guys he knows fairly well. The Mark Cuban family will also be celebrating Rosh Hashanah as proud Jews.   Israel is at war on many fronts. Jackson expertly reviews Israel's decisive military moves of late. What should the Jewish State do next to respond to Tuesday's barrage of missiles aimed by Iran at Tel Aviv? Jackson and the host are aggressive against Tehran and taking out nukes.   The dots are connected between the wars faced by Israel and Ukraine. Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran all take marching orders from Russian President Vlad Putin. The Russian leader's despicable bunker mentality gets analyzed, and we discuss his associations with Donald Trump and Elon Musk.   Troubadour Dave Gunders is getting much better following full right knee replacement surgery. His “New Last Chance” song is perfect for the Days of Awe between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Concerts by Garth Brooks and the Eagles in Vegas get reviewed. The boys have an awesome discussion of current events.

Laura Wolk expressed concerns about the media's bent in Amy Coney Barrett's confirmation hearings. She felt there was a deep undercurrent that seemed to suggest that Judge Barrett, or Originalists in general, really want to take people's rights away--for ex, they want to overturn the ACA. She feels this includes three presumptions about Conservative judges: 1) that they are pre-committed to certain policy goals, which she feels is unjustified, 2) that they would be disingenuously trying to sneak their policies in through the backdoor, 3) that their policy preferences and the answers they come to by analyzing the statutes are always the same. She disagrees with all of these and shared a frame of reference from her personal experience, noting that she personally is uncomfortable with the death penalty but since the Constitution allows it, she wouldn't allow her own personal biases to override it --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/nextgenpolitics/message

Episode Notes Today we will have an open discussion about Supreme Court Nominee Amy Coney Barrett in, “Not Necessarily the Good News.” And we will explore saviorhood, and how it does not apply to Donald Trump in, “The More You Know. NOT NECESSARILY THE GOOD NEWS: Judge Amy Coney Barrett is from the South and Midwest. Her career has been largely spent teaching while raising seven children, including two adopted from Haiti and one with Down syndrome, and living according to her faith. She has made no secret of her beliefs on divisive social issues such as abortion. A deeply religious woman, her roots are in a populist movement of charismatic Catholicism. From her formative years in Louisiana to her current life in Indiana, Judge Barrett has been shaped by an especially insular religious community, the People of Praise, which has about 1,650 adult members, including her parents, and draws on the ecstatic traditions of charismatic Christianity, like speaking in tongues. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/10/11/us/politics/amy-coney-barrett-life-career-family.html THE MORE YOU KNOW: In a recent radio interview, Donald Trump Jr made this foolish statement about his father: “He literally saved Christianity, there's a war on faith in this country by the other side. I mean, the Democratic Party, the far left, has become the party of the quote-unquote atheist, they want to attack Christianity, they want to close churches, they want to - they're totally fine keeping liquor stores open, but they want to close churches all over the country.” Does he speak for Christianity? No. *NOTE: we say Donald Trump Jr. But these quotes should have been attributed to Eric Trump. https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/520090-eric-trump-claims-his-father-literally-saved-christianity https://www.businessinsider.com/eric-trump-says-donald-trump-saved-christianity-2020-10 Find us on Twitter: @WithoutWorksPod Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/withoutworks Email @ withoutworkspod@gmail.com Transcripts available at our internet home: www.withoutworkspodcast.com Find out more at https://without-works.pinecast.co This podcast is powered by Pinecast.

If you watched Judge Barrett's confirmation hearings this week, you might have gotten the impression that the Democrats have given up. But something much more sinister is going on. Following the conclusion of ACB's testimony, Michael Knowles asks Senator Ted Cruz about the impotent performance by Judiciary Democrats and, more importantly, about the radical Left's shockingly successful attempt to mainstream the idea of packing the court, an idea so outrageous that even Senator Joe condemned it before he became Candidate Joe. Written by Laurie Higgins The meme featured above has been circulating on social media, passing as wisdom in the dystopian Upside Down in which “progressives” live and move and have their being. How is violence defined by those who are sharing this meme? Are they using it in the sense of bodily acts of violence or in the sense of “the abusive or unjust exercise of power”? If the latter, was Amy Coney Barrett a victim of violence on the second day of the Senate confirmation hearings for her Supreme Court nomination? Was she a victim of an abusive exercise of power when the sanctimonious U.S. Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI)battle-axe-splained to Judge Barrett that the term "sexual preference," which Judge Barrett had used, is “offensive” to homosexuals? Clearly, Hirono was trying to coerce Barrett into using terminology that leftists invented and which embody their leftist assumptions. Read more...

The one thing both sides seem to agree on is that at stake are some of the most contentious cultural issues of this era.
