Sign up for Practi, a new platform that helps law firms use subscription billing. Here are the top 5 takeaways from this episode:* The conference format prioritizes dynamic, non-reusable content: 10-minute TED-style talks force speakers to create fresh material exclusive to LegalGeek, avoiding the stale 30-minute “road show” presentations common at other conferences.* Silent disco headsets are a signature innovation: By placing content stages in the middle of networking spaces and using glowing wireless headphones, LegalGeek blends education and networking seamlessly rather than siloing them.* In-house legal teams stand to gain the most from AI: Unlike law firms billing by the hour, in-house counsel are already cost centers under constant pressure. AI tools that speed up legal work and unlock new value are especially transformative for them.* The ALM acquisition has been a meaningful upgrade: Joining ALM gave Legal Geek boots on the ground in the US, access to a massive team, and shared operational knowledge; solving longstanding logistical pain points of running an international event from abroad.* Legal Geek acts as a catalyst for real business outcomes: A conversation at LegalGeek between Mathew and the Thomson Reuters Ventures team directly inspired him to build Practi, underscoring the event's value as a place where deals and ideas actually take shape.__________________________Want your question to be answered on a future show? Leute, was war da los? So!

Intwüschen is dat je morns fröher hell un obends loter düster. Man dinkt dor kümmt 'n Moped op een to un meent, dat man je jede Menge Platz op de Stroot hett. Ick denn gau no'n Autodeele-Höker üm glieks twee niede Lüchtmidddels to kööpen. Also Geld op'n Tresen, Brenners in de Jackentasch un af no Huus. Veel an't Auto kann ick sülms moken. As ick also de Motorhuuv opmokt heff, weer ick noch dorvun övertüücht, dat ick in teihn Minuten trech weer mit de Operatschoon. Weer bi mien fröhere Autos je ook so, an de Verschleißdeele keem man good ran. Denn noch 'n poor Kabels ut'n Weg, overs liekers keem ick dor blots mit Verrenkung‘ ran, mit de ick direkt in Zirkus Krone anheuern kunn. De anner Sied weer noch slimmer. Almähli wurr mi klor, worüm so veele Autos mit blots een Lamp dör de Gegend fohrt. Dorför kann man de ganze Famielje to'n Urlaub inloden. In düssen Sinn

Recorded live at the annual meeting of the Legal Marketing Association in New Orleans, this episode features a conversation with Rachel Shields Williams, president of the LMA and director of client intelligence at Sidley Austin, where she has spent 17 years building out roles at the intersection of marketing, business development, knowledge management and data. Earlier this year, Rachel was named a recipient of ALM's Monica Bay Women in Legal Tech Award. Rachel and host Bob Ambrogi discuss how AI is reshaping the work of legal marketers, and why she believes the marketing community is uniquely positioned to help law firms move past the "I'm curious, I want to click the buttons" stage of AI adoption to sustained, repeatable value. They get into the state of innovation in big law — including Rachel's view that firms cannot use AI or money to "skip the canyon of despair" in change management — and why she thinks meaningful innovation often looks less like a headline and more like getting one percent better every week. The conversation also covers the changing competitive landscape facing traditional firms, from AI-native entrants like Norm AI to MSOs and a resurgent ALSP market; the long-running debate over the billable hour; the four interrelated elements Rachel sees at the heart of every law firm's data — documents, clients, matters, and people; and what firm leaders should be doing right now to stay competitive over the next decade. Throughout, Rachel returns to a theme about which she calls herself an "unapologetic humanist" — technology and process will keep changing, but the firms that win will be the ones that put the right people in the room first. Send us Fan MailAsset liability management - ALM as it's known - can be fun, good for a credit union's balance sheet and, dare we say it, sexy.On the show is Daniel Ahn, CEO of Delfi, a company that - and I quote from the website - “combines deep public and private sector experience with cutting-edge AI expertise—bringing best-in-class technology to banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions.”The website adds: “Transform your bank or credit union financial decision making and race to the top with our revolutionary platform.Delfi delivers instant analytics, access to a deep inventory of solutions, and is powered by AI so you can pick the right solution for you.”This an exciting new, powerful look at ALM in credit unions. Also on the show is Scott Daukas, a principal at One Washington Financial, a CUSO wholly owned by Washington State Employees Credit Union and an investor in a new Delfi CUSO. But One Washington Financial is more than that with Delfi as you will hear in the show. Indeed it approached Delfi with the suggestion that it form a CUSO - and long conversations followed, not the least of which was explaining what a CUSO is!One Washington Financial also invested in two other companies that have featured in recent CU 2.0 podcasts - Remynt and Starlight. Why is One Washington Financial making these investments? Daukas explains.Listen up.Like what you are hearing? Find out how you can help sponsor this podcast here. In this episode, we sit down with Ilan Sherr, VP of Investigations and Regulatory Response at Lineal, to explore how AI is reshaping legal work, investigations, and compliance.Ilan shares how his background in competition law and regulatory enforcement led him to see early on that reactive approaches weren't sustainable, pushing him toward building AI-driven methods to identify risk before it escalates. We unpack where organizations really stand on the shift to proactive monitoring, and why many teams are still relying on legacy eDiscovery practices that create inefficiencies and exposure. The conversation also digs into culture. While companies talk about proactive risk detection, those efforts often stall when transparency and accountability become uncomfortable. On the AI front, we tackle a growing question: when does not using AI become a defensibility issue? Ilan offers a practical view on how expectations are evolving and what legal teams should be thinking about now. Finally, we zoom out to strategy. Ilan explains what becomes possible when legal expertise is tightly integrated with data and technology, how that's changing the role of investigations teams, and why, despite all the innovation, the hardest challenges are still human.Ilan Sherr is Vice President of Investigations and Regulatory Response at Lineal, where he helps organizations deal with investigations and respond to complex regulatory scrutiny while advancing proactive, AI-enabled risk strategies.

In this CPQ Podcast episode, Frank talks with Max from Prodly about the shift from Salesforce CPQ to Revenue Cloud Advanced (now Agentforce Revenue Management, ARM) and what it really takes to manage that transition successfully. They look at how Salesforce is moving customers to ARM, why this is not a simple upgrade but a separate implementation project, and what that means for CPQ teams, partners, and customers. Max reflects on the early Steelbrick days and how it helped democratize CPQ, his path from engineer and product manager to founder, and why he had to learn marketing, sales, and go-to-market the hard way. He also shares a few personal stories, including a 48-hour round-trip flight to Munich for a four-hour meeting, and his view on the coming agentic revolution in enterprise software. You'll also hear how Prodly has grown into an Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) / DevOps platform for Salesforce with ~35–40 employees and a global, mostly North American, customer base. Max explains how Prodly helps larger organizations automate complex CPQ and quote-to-cash deployments (configuration, price rules, discount schedules, install base data, etc.), and why one of their biggest differentiators is that the platform is not limited to CPQ—it also supports use cases like field service, e-commerce, and rebate management. Today, Prodly works with any CPQ solution built on the Salesforce platform, with plans to expand beyond Salesforce in the future. Topics covered: Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Cloud Advanced, Agentforce Revenue Management (ARM), CPQ migration strategy, Salesforce DevOps, application lifecycle management (ALM), Prodly, Steelbrick, quote-to-cash, agentic revolution in enterprise software.
