Textuales:
This is a Spagnuolo game guys!! ESPN's own Nate Taylor joined the guys to give his thoughts on the first game of the season.
We talked about who could be the next head coach for the Jets and a name that has popped up is Steve Spagnuolo. He's been involved with 4 Super Bowl championships with the Chiefs and Giants. The Bears and Cowboys are going to be the most coveted jobs, the Jets the least, so Spagnuolo coming here is not likely. A caller wants the Giants to sign Arch Manning now, which is not the way it works in the NFL.

A caller wants the Giants to sign Arch Manning now, which is not the way it works in the NFL. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Joe Schoen meeting the media. Jerry Jones was on the radio in Dallas and again was talking about the sun during games. The Knicks beat the Sixers in Philly. Jerry Seinfeld called in to the C-Mac show last night and talked about the great Mets run, saying it was the most magical outside of the two World Series wins. Seinfeld would rather build a Mets team than getting Juan Soto. He then asked C-Mac what the pain was like in the fifth inning of the Yankees debacle. In the final segment of the hour, a caller said Boomer doesn't admit when he's wrong.
Hour 1 Boomer is back today. He was at a speaking engagement in Columbus, Ohio. His bag was checked by the TSA because of his container of Metamucil. Daniel Jones is going to get benched as we all know. The question now is where do they find the next guy and what does it take to get him. Gio has been wanting the Jets to go after Jon Gruden. Boomer checked his sources and confirmed that Gruden wants back in. Gio wonders if Roger Goodell would let him back in after what he said in those emails. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with audio from Giants GM Joe Schoen as he met the media. Boomer wants Sauce Gardner to put the phone down and stop tweeting. The NBA Cup started last night and the Knicks beat the Sixers. Jerry Seinfeld called in to C-Mac's show after the producer said there were only 3 good episodes. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Drew Lock or Tommy DeVito starting in place of Daniel Jones after the bye. DeVito brings energy and excitement and the fanbase likes him. Maybe the Giants are afraid of having success with him. Hour 2 We talked about who could be the next head coach for the Jets and a name that has popped up is Steve Spagnuolo. He's been involved with 4 Super Bowl championships with the Chiefs and Giants. The Bears and Cowboys are going to be the most coveted jobs, the Jets the least, so Spagnuolo coming here is not likely. In the final segment of the hour, a caller said Boomer doesn't admit when he's wrong. Hour 3 Phil Simms joins us in his Wednesday spot and we start with the game in Germany that Phil did on the radio. We talked about Daniel Jones' performance against the Panthers and Phil said he's seen this before over and over again. Phil doesn't think the Giants are going to leapfrog Drew Lock for Tommy DeVito. We asked Phil if he thought Jon Gruden would be a good fit for the Jets, but Phil said the NFL will not welcome him back with open arms. He does think Gruden and Rodgers would be a good combo. He doesn't think Gruden and Caleb Williams would be a good fit in Chicago. Phil could not believe how much the Cardinals rolled the Jets. Jerry returns for an update and has audio from NFL films as the Cardinals were beating the Jets and Kyler Murray was talking about fast food. We wondered if Long John Silvers is still around. In the final segment of the hour, Rich Gannon joins us to talk about Jon Gruden wanting to come back to the NFL and Gio would love to have him for the Jets. Rich thinks the Jets are a complete disaster right now. Rich said not one player has come out to say something bad about Gruden. Rich doesn't think Aaron Rodgers is not coming back next year. Rich also told us what's to blame for the Jets current situation. Hour 4 We talked more about the possibility of Jon Gruden to the Jets. He is the perfect fit for the Jets. But Rich Gannon seemed to think Gruden wants to go to a better situation than the Jets have right now. Boomer thinks his personality is great for the Jets, the same way Rex Ryan was. Gio is worried that no real candidate wants the Jets job and we thought maybe Gruden was desperate enough to take it. But if there are multiple teams offering him a job, he's not coming to the Jets. A caller wants Rex back. Jerry returns for his final update of the day, but first Boomer wonders about Aaron Glenn coaching for the Jets. Jerry asked Boo ...

Stroud can play enough hero ball to keep it close.Next, Nate and Charles give one thing to watch for every Week 10 matchup as they get into the one interesting matchup in the Munich game, a big rookie quarterback battle, the Pope sending encouraging words to the New Orleans Saints, how Bo Nix can beat the Spagnuolo defense, Jayden Daniels vs. Mike Tomlin, how Aaron Rodgers will attack the Arizona defense and much more.Nate finishes up with a mailbag question on the Los Angeles Chargers run game as he takes a closer look at the offense in its first year under Jim Harbaugh.(4:35) Detroit Lions @ Houston Texans(20:25) New York Giants @ Carolina Panthers(26:10) New England Patriots @ Chicago Bears(31:10) Atlanta Falcons @ New Orleans Saints(34:55) Buffalo Bills @ Indianapolis Colts(38:15) San Francisco 49ers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers(42:25) Denver Broncos @ Kansas City Chiefs(47:30) Tennessee Titans @ Los Angeles Chargers(51:20) Minnesota Vikings @ Jacksonville Jaguars(53:15) Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys(57:25) New York Jets @ Arizona Cardinals(1:01:30) Pittsburgh Steelers @ Washington Commanders(1:06:40) Miami Dolphins @ Los Angeles Rams(1:12:20) What's wrong with the Chargers run game?Subscribe to Football 301 on your favorite podcast app:
