Today's episode is brought to you by the word acquiesce. We cheers to the Kentucky Derby with Kentucky Barrel Pumpkin Ale, from Lexington Brewing & Distilling. We discuss Taco Bell's latest efforts to be green, our efforts to hold back Taco Bell, and Reddit's TIFU discussion about holding it and failing. What would you do if you were the last man (person?) on earth, if you had nothing standing in your way? (Tony didn't quite understand this scenario, so, just go along with it). Mike fills you in on what you should be watching: “Clickbait” (Netflix) and “Nine Perfect Strangers” (Hulu). Speaking of entertainment, what are movies you know are cheesy, but you love them anyway? There is a Better Podcast recommendation: “Effin' Cultured” with Bobby, Griff, and Rick. We guarantee you'll have a good time, or your money back. (Hint: it's a free podcast). It's also raunchy as hell, so if you like that, this is totally your show. Listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other fine podcast providers. Find them on Twitter and Facebook. Mike has an apology. This Peppermint Porter from Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co. is designed for relaxing by an open fire. Is the president of the U.S. a racist? It's a hard questions, but first, the boys give lip to Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, by Lexington Brewing and Distilling. People casually toss around the accusation that Trump is a racist, but Crowhill says "racist" has become the boy who cried wolf. There's a problem with racism, but there's also a problem with too many accusations of racism. So how do you sort through this? The boys are confused. Is it okay for people to have preferences, even if those preferences are associated with a racial group? The standard nowadays seems to be, "your opinion has something to do with race, therefore it must be wrong." But if that's true, isn't intersectionality racist? After discussing the issue in general, P&C evaluate specific claims that Trump is a racist. Most of them don't impress, but a couple of them are worrisome. You'll have to listen to find out which is which.
