Send us a textRecorded in March 2025 Dylan and Liam traverse this season finale of Doctor Who and the future of the show and get it spectacularly right/wrong. They also look at two turning points in the show history first up its the TV Comic strip ‘The Night Walkers', then they look at the abandoned script for episode 14 of ‘The Trial of a Timelord' entitled ‘Time Incorporated' written by Eric Saward. And as always they answer the burning questions:Who is the bonny blue of Dr Who podcasting ? What is Dynasty on ice?Are we better off with Pip and Jane Baker? This weeks intro we cover Liams and Wills recent surfs and all the successes and challenges they bought along with them. From surfing with difficult people to trying to perform even in the midst of mental/emotional triggers, we hash out what it takes to get better whilst having a good time! Liam goes on to talk about how much fun he had surfing his “cricket net” - a spot where he can simply get stuck into turns without many people around. Will also shares stories from his recent trip to tenerife and was obsessed with trying to keep the nose of his board facing the beach so he could perform tighter more vertical turns. We then go onto talk about how close that switch and shift into the next levels of performance is and so therefore how important it is to stay stoked and keep persevering! Stay stoked guys! Will & Liam
This weeks intro we dive deep into a humongous intro - one that lasts the entire show due to the larger than expected break since our last show. In order , we cover : 1. Wills pre tenerife surf training camp 2. Liams ocean knowledge vs wave pool progressions & philosophies 3. Wills no1 ever session in 21 years of surfing and how surprised he was about the board that allowed him the session 4. Why it's so important to let go of joy 5. How relative “surf progression is” to the human trying to progress 6. Why 90% of the time, it's not the board that's at fault , but the surfer and their fitness & mindset 7. Why NOW is the only time there'll ever be to go surfing , move to the coast or go on a trip (there'll always be barriers!) Stay stoked guys! Will & Liam
In this episode of the Defence Connect Spotlight podcast, Liam Catterson, business development manager Integrated Air and Missile Defence Lead, Rotary and Mission Systems at Lockheed Martin Australia, joins host Liam Garman to lift the hood on AIR 6500. The two Liams begin the podcast discussing how the Joint Air Battle Management System (JABMS), AIR 6500 Phase 1, will protect Australia's shores and what's been delivered on AIR 6500 to date. They then unpack how Australian industry capability fits into AIR 6500 and the benefits that it will offer the Australian Defence Force. The pair then turn to what next-generation technologies the JABMS will utilise to provide air and missile defence to the Australian Defence Force, and what the end game looks like. We also take a spin around the weeks news covering (last time promise) Oasis, Liams performance at the Joshua fight, Universal shafting of superfans, album reviews of David Gilmour and Mercury Rev and PSB upcoming instore at Chameleon.

This week I am joined by Liam O' Keefe, aka The Angry Welder. We discuss Liams school life, childhood, struggles with anger and how he learned to deal with it , and so much more.
'da fuck did we talk about then for the description of this episode?' 'Lift foils/testing foils/burning sessions/duotone whizz/flite controversy/ Bennett's/selling stuff/altruism/summer events' There you go - description done! We need to get back chatting to guests ASAP. Freddies using all his energy going to work SUP demo's and hasn't been foiling recently - which means more of Liams droning on about things in the foiling world that frustrate and/or excite him enjoy! PS. its still fun chatting about everything going on in our tiny little world....
Some more childish banter in response to some comments made online recently that we thought needed addressing....... There is some foil chat here though, don't fret. Ken Adgate jumps in with a voice note to give us some answers to questions we've had from listeners about how to engage in flat water wing shenanigans. We dissect how these potential 'party tricks' may actually become quite useful in more serious conditions once mastered. Some more thoughts on the Industry currently along the lines of Gong pushing harder into kiting and what that might mean to the consumer - what does this mean for the local shops? Even more board construction chat! Whats been ruffling Liams feathers this week? Can you guys send us some photos of you in your t-shirts?! we've sent a good few out now, it'd be great to see where they've ended up in the far flung corners of the world
Stanley Cup playoffs underway and the first Canadian team which saw action, the Maple Leafs were spanked 5-1 by the Boston Bruins last night. What's ahead? What are the most unforgettable moments in SC playoffs over the years? And how knowledgeable are you about the pursuit of the Stanley Cup? And do you have a Stanley Cup playoffs question you believe you might be able to stump our guest with? Guest: Liam Maguire, as seen on Hockey Night in Canada. The world's #1 NHL historian, author of four books, including his most recent The Real Ogie. Story of Goldie Oglethorpe. @Liams_hockey on X. https://ottawa.citynews.ca/2022/03/16/local-hockey-legend-liam-maguire-parlays-love-of-hockey-into-a-one-of-a-kind-career-5159456/ And: Callers. Ben Rhodes and Stevie Morrison join us this week for a couple beers in Liams flat. They partnered together in the 49'er sailing fleet way back when, winning multiple world championships and representing Great Britain in the 2008 and 2012 Olympics. Exmouth locals, they're both now into their coaching of both Olympic kite foil racing and sailing while being well into their own personal foiling journeys - Stevie loves his winging and Ben's got his eyes fixated on mastering Downwinding..... Two great fellas with a lot of good stories from their competitive days - this was a lot of fun to record! If you like what we're doing, check out buymeacoffee.com/gfpodcast - we're aiming to get ourselves away on some specific trips this year to make sure we have some great people to chat to, and we'd appreciate all the support we can get to bring our ideas to life!
Multiple sessions this week just gone, we've had some great powered conditions to play in! Jezza's traffic light power zones has worked its wonders on Freddie's wiggles on the wave.... Liams had his mind on some board building ideas and we hear from Ken Adgate briefly for some thoughts to discuss. More Room 101 points from our own dear listeners! Give us a shout on the socials and say hello - lets see your t-shirts anyone who's got them?! Speaking of T-shirts..... we still have some podcast logo tee's from the first drop leftover. More sizes and more Wang Lordz tee's to be printed soon enough again :)
After Ken's episode blew up last week, we're back with a nice chilled Sunday evening chat. Plenty to discuss and catch up on - despite Liam and I spending all weekend together already. Our T-shirts are available to buy!! Message on the socials for now for more info.... GWA Ponta Preta - Surf/Surf Freestyle?? Guy Bridge's Downwind Video on youtube - search for it! Liams revelation into HM masts...... 2 years after their release. What small front wing should Liam get for the bigger days we're hoping are coming? Hope everyones well and getting wet frequently! If you like what we're doing, check out buymeacoffee.com/gfpodcast to help us fund trips to the beaches and hopefully to AWSI in the States towards the end of the year. Until next week!
In this podcast episode, I welcome back Liam Jones from Pilla to discuss new ways of managing the working process in the hospitality and retail sectors. We discuss Liams four-step management model that leads employees from a direction state to being independent, targeted, and rewarded, ultimately leading to high-performing teams. Liam also introduced Pilla as it aims to enable managers to automate tasks, measure performance, and gamify work for their teams, thereby improving productivity and operational efficiency. Find out more about the management model here.
A nice steady start to 2024 for us - Freddie needed a gentle chat to ease him in after finding out first hand why everyones so pissed off about sewage outlets releasing straight into the UK's coastal beach towns water.... We've also had numerous sessions over a busy Christmas period while the winds been howling over here. Most notably is the fateful browntown session of Freddies on NYE where he did a sizeable 'wingdingdownwinder' alongside a few SUP foilers and has seen the light! Liams got plenty going on - with more sessions under his belt on the SK8/PhantomS back to back for a comparison, as well as recieving his downwind board blank ready to laminate in the next 1-9 months..... Sit back and enjoy! If you like what we're doing, we're saving for a trip away to AWSI this year to bring more content - feel free to help support at https://www.buymeacoffee.com/gfpodcast. Likewise share with anyone and everyone - follow us on the socials and say hello!
The Boys sit down with friend Liam Davis (@liam.coe.davis) musical prodigy and talk about the rockstar life. Welcome back to a week with Liam and Freddie! We catch up on a busy couple of weeks after our last two episodes released were interviews. Check out Episodes 19 and 20 with Wieger from Appletree boards and Rob Claisse from Progression instructional kite and foil coaching - these were both great chats and very well recieved by those who have listened already. We've had three wing sessions and a couple of Prone sessions in the time since these episodes were released, and theres plenty to dissect from them! Liams got himself a blank from the boys over at Swift Foilboards and is pretty dang excited to get it glassed up properly and in the water asap. We spend some time discussing the safety concerns of surfers around foiling most specifically in Cornwall. Again we're completely out of our depth with the finer details of the discussion, but after some messages to and fro with Tom Earl down in Newquay it became apparent that there may be an issue forming that may explode in the near future. This lead us on to wondering whether we should be reaching out and chatting to those who are concerned at the likes of the RNLI over here in the UK - we wonder what their take is on the discipline so far, and how do we train the public in how to react when they see something new like a foil in the water? Until next week - we hope everyone gets out in the water! there looks to be wind and swell on the cards over here for the UK while it also stays super cold before spring kicks in.... check us out on @genericfoilingpodcast on instagram and Facebook, and follow us on whichever podcast platform you use!
Liam and Freddie sit down at opposite ends of the world and discuss what Liams been up to in Antigua and how it is a wing/kite spot. We then get into a conversation on mast stiffness and Liam gets stuck into the techy side of carbon constructions - what actually is High Modulus and why is it the talk of the town at the moment? We've also had a good amount of listeners reaching out with questions and feedback that we'll hopefully aim to work through properly as we go. Thanks to everyone for listening and anyone who has reached out too, we love hearing from everyone. This is it for 2022 - we'll be back in the New Year with some new interviews hopefully. Fingers crossed everyone gets out on the water over the festive period!

A couple nights ago was a WOWZA kind of night in our home. Luke hit Liams let so Liam kicked Luke in the face, while I am cooking dinner, Marcus was cleaning the enormous silly string mess and we were "behind" our schedule. How do you get your mind back on your side when your body FEELS angry and all you want to do is give your child the cold shoulder and ignore them?! That's how I felt and here's how I did different than the way I felt. It turned into an incredibly empowering moment in motherhood as I felt myself breaking cycles, thinking greater and using self-discovery in the moment. The skills and tools I teach you in Mind Body Alignment serve you for a lifetime. Expectations, boundaries, shame resilience and Identity at work in this one! AHHH, enrollment to Mind Body Alignment is open December 10-22!!

What are the biggest challenges that lie ahead for global industries becoming more sustainable? The Smart Acids talk technical with leaders in environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and governance roles at Univar Solutions. Sustainability can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. Here's how our guests describe what it means to chemical and ingredient businesses:Kelly Gilroy, VP of sustainability and natural products (12:22): "Efficiency. Think people, planet, and profits. We've got to move from a take, make, and waste society to things like repair, reuse, and reintegrate. When you think about distribution, we're by nature a sustainable business – we take large quantities of materials and make them available to 100,000+ customers. My first big project is finding a way to take sustainability down to the product level."Liam McCarroll, director of global sustainability (1:56): "It's not about greenwashing. Embedding sustainability into the business...and achieving that across the organization is a challenge. We already support customers in getting products and services on time, with great quality. We have to continue doing that and building sustainability into every part, from the beginning to the end of the customer experience."
