The quivering quality of material existence, which comes from identification with matter or from thinking oneself, under the material influence of philosophical speculation, to be God, can be eradicated by devotional service to the Lord, by the mercy of the Personality of Godhead, Vāsudeva. As discussed in the First Canto, because the application of devotional service to Lord Vāsudeva invites pure knowledge, it quickly detaches one from the material conception of life and thus revives one's normal condition of spiritual existence, even in this life, and frees one from the material winds which cause one to quiver. Only knowledge in devotional service can elevate one towards the path of liberation. The development of knowledge for the purpose of knowing everything, without rendering devotional service, is considered fruitless labor, and one cannot get the desired result by such labor of love. Lord Vāsudeva is pleased by devotional service only, and thus His mercy is realized by association with pure devotees of the Lord. Pure devotees of the Lord are transcendental to all material desires, including the desire for the results of fruitive activities and philosophical speculation. If one wants to acquire the mercy of the Lord, he has to associate with pure devotees. Such association alone can, by degrees, release one from the quivering elements. Psalm 60 Worksheet It's to the chief musician, as ______________ total Psalms are! There is something unique in the heading, the words “for teaching.” This is the only occurrence of that in the Psalms! I wonder based on the tone of the Psalm if David wants to teach something to _________________, the General he had a complicated relationship with! The events referred to in the heading probably refers to events described in 2 Samuel 8 and 1 Chronicles 18. Victory feels like defeat when the Lord isn't ______________________ V. 1-3 But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord. -2 Sam. 11:27b And God was displeased with this thing; therefore He struck Israel. -1 Chr. 21:7 Those who are especially sensitive to things that displease the Lord need to remember to always start their evaluation with __________________________. Help us to remember we represent you, Lord V. 4-5 Those who love the Lord are called to both fear Him and revere Him. The fear of the Lord helps us repent and line up with what He wants of us. That leads to a life where others can see us _______________ God reverently. David doesn't want to just wear a Star of David t-shirt here – he wants Israel's talk to _____________ their walk – he wants to worship in Spirit and in Truth like John 4:24 calls for! Help us to remember that You gave ________________ victories, Lord V. 6-8 The entire north of the country is sometimes referred to as Ephraim because of the importance of the tribes descended from Joseph. The other tribe that overshaded them all was Judah, the Kingly tribe. David's point is that God is over ________________ part of Israel, all 12 tribes. Moab is a neighbor to the east of Israel, Edom is a neighbor to the southeast, and Philistia were neighbors to the southwest. All had acted out in the past against Israel, and were rightfully subdued and paying ______________________ to Israel under David's rule. As God's nation, it was even more ____________ for Israel to fear and trust God than it was to be military ready. Help us to remember that You give the __________________ victory, Lord V. 9-12 As Obadiah indicates, Edom as a nation never got over Esau's losing the blessing to Jacob, and as a people constantly made Israel it's _____________________. David entrusts this ongoing mess to God's help. David asks God here to help them overcome trouble, some of which they may have brought on themselves by acting in the _______________________. David ends the Psalm with a great prayer for God's help in doing God's right things in God's right ways, acting valiantly through faith, and leaving the _____________________ to God.

The real purpose of human life is to attain liberation from material entanglement. Such liberation may be achieved by many methods, but all of them more or less depend on tapasya, austerity, which begins with celibacy. There are ten prescribed methods on the path to liberation. Those who have fully surrendered to the lotus feet of Lord Vāsudeva, Krishna, automatically achieve the results of all these methods. Let us understand in this session.

In this talk we continue the exploration of the famous mantra: asato mā sad gamaya tamaso mā jyotir gamaya mṛtyor māmṛtaṁ gamaya Oh Lord, lead me from illusion into the eternal reality. Lead me from darkness into the light. Lead me from the realm of death into the nectar of immortality. - Bṛhad-āraṇyaka Upaniṣad 1.3.28 Last week we examined sat/asat – eternal truth as opposed to untruth or illusion. Now we get a very graphic/ descriptive phrase as to what constitutes sat/asat which is light and darkness. In Sanskrit “tamas” means – darkness, gloom, mental darkness, ignorance, illusion, error; whereas its opposite “jyotis” means – Light (of the sun, dawn, fire, lightning, etc.), brightness (of the sky) light as the divine principle of life or source of intelligence, intelligence. The many Vedic texts I quoted: Covered by the mode of ignorance in material nature, the living entity is sometimes a male, sometimes a female, sometimes a eunuch, sometimes a human being, sometimes a demigod, sometimes a bird, an animal, and so on. In this way he is wandering within the material world. His acceptance of different types of bodies is brought about by his activities under the influence of the modes of nature. Bhāgavata Purāṇa 4.29.29 When the living entity is covered by the mode of ignorance, he does not understand the individual living being and the supreme living being, and his mind is subjugated to fruitive activity. Therefore, until one has love for Lord Vāsudeva, who is none other than Myself, he is certainly not delivered from having to accept a material body again and again. Bhāgavata Purāṇa 5.5.6 When the sun rises it destroys the darkness covering men's eyes, but it does not create the objects they then see before them, which in fact were existing all along. Similarly, potent and factual realization of Me will destroy the darkness covering a person's true consciousness. Bhāgavata Purāṇa 11.28.34 This Bhāgavata Purāṇa is as brilliant as the sun, and it has arisen just after the departure of Lord Kṛṣṇa to His own abode, accompanied by religion, knowledge, etc. Persons who have lost their vision due to the dense darkness of ignorance in the age of Kali shall get light from this Purāṇa. - Bhāgavata Purāṇa 1.3.43 Completely rejecting all religious activities which are materially motivated, this Bhāgavata Purāṇa propounds the highest truth, which is understandable by those devotees who are fully pure in heart. The highest truth is reality distinguished from illusion for the welfare of all. Such truth uproots the threefold miseries…. Bhāgavata Purāṇa 1.1.2 Because a person who has been covered by ignorance since time immemorial is not capable of effecting his own self-realization, there must be some other personality who is in factual knowledge of the Absolute Truth and can impart this knowledge to him. Bhāgavata Purāṇa 11.22.10 …. My dear Lord, You are the supreme spiritual master of everyone; therefore all conditioned souls covered with the darkness of ignorance can be enlightened by You as the spiritual master. Bhāgavata Purāṇa 4.24.52 Dear master, kindly enlighten us in transcendental knowledge, which may act as a torchlight by which we may cross the dark nescience of material existence. Bhāgavata Purāṇa 4.31.7 Invocation oṁ ajñāna-timirāndhasya jñānāñjana-śalākayā cakṣur unmīlitaṁ yena tasmai śrī-gurave namaḥ I offer my respectful obeisances unto my spiritual master, who has opened my eyes, which were blinded by the darkness of ignorance, with the torchlight of knowledge. (Speaking of the materially entangled soul) …. In that state he becomes almost perpetually like a blind man who has fallen into a dark well of ignorance. Bhāgavata Purāṇa 5.14.21 For the full description see Youtube.

In the Name of Jesus Acts 2:21-42 The sermon in verses 22-36 is Peter's exposition of verse 21. The prophet Joel had written, “Whoever calls on the name of YHWH will be saved.” Two implications from verse 21 V. 21 1. If you call on the name of the Lord you will be saved! 2. You better get the name of the Lord ________________ or you won't be saved! Three proofs that Jesus is the Messiah and Lord: 1. Jesus' _______________ life, atoning death, and resurrection V. 22-24 Isaiah 53:5-6, 10-12 Romans 3:23-26 2. Jesus is the Son of David, _______________ David's prophecy V. 25-32 Psalm 16 3. Jesus is alive in Heaven and has __________________ out the Holy Spirit today V. 32-36 The Holy Spirit ___________________ the crowd V. 37 John 16:8 What all sinners need to do in the name of the Lord V. 38-42 Peter calls for an inward response to be followed by an outward response; the inward response before God, the outward response before _________________. To repent is to ________________________ your mind. John 1:12 John 3:16 The first outward act called for after salvation is to be _____________ in His name. In Matthew 28:19 Jesus said new disciples are to baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. That day 3,000 were saved and baptized! Think of it: in one day the church went from 120 people to 3,120 people!
स वै निवृत्तिधर्मेण वासुदेवानुकम्पया । भगवद्भक्तियोगेन तिरोधत्ते शनैरिह ॥ १२ ॥ sa vai nivṛtti-dharmeṇa vāsudevānukampayā bhagavad-bhakti-yogena tirodhatte śanair iha Synonyms saḥ — that; vai — also; nivṛtti — detachment; dharmeṇa — by engagement; vāsudeva — the Supreme Personality of Godhead; anukampayā — by the mercy of; bhagavat — in relation with the Personality of Godhead; bhakti-yogena — by linking up; tirodhatte — diminishes; śanaiḥ — gradually; iha — in this existence. Translation But that misconception of self-identity can be diminished gradually by the mercy of the Personality of Godhead, Vāsudeva, through the process of devotional service to the Lord in the mode of detachment. Purport The quivering quality of material existence, which comes from identification with matter or from thinking oneself, under the material influence of philosophical speculation, to be God, can be eradicated by devotional service to the Lord, by the mercy of the Personality of Godhead, Vāsudeva.
In the Book of Exodus, it is declared that the Passover is the Lord's sacrifice when He passed over the Israelites in the land of Goshen. Before any Israelite was a partaker of the work of the Lord there was a slain lamb with the blood on the door lintel. The Israelites had to enter into the Blood of that Lamb and eat its flesh in order to come out of that house in the brightness of the new day. Exo 12:25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service. 26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service? 27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD'S passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped. Before you or I could ever enter into Christ, He had to finish the work. He had to come as man and proceed into death, burial and resurrection. This was the Lord's work before we ever were partakers of it. Now we come into the Lord through His shed blood, and eat the Lamb until we see the Light of the new day. Then we come into the Light of Christ, which is the Light of the New Day that dawns in our hearts. What I am concerned with at this time, is many of the Lord's Body do not close the door and eat the Lamb. They try to walk out in Christ by the religion they are taught. We must first eat the Lamb, which will bring us into the Light of New Day. Only by eating Him, can we come here. Let us go in and close the door with Jesus and eat until the Light Appears. Until we see Jesus. Glory to God!
Welcome to episode #5 of ChristLike “Hot n Cold”. This episode we will be diving into the topic of lukewarm Christianity, what it means to believe in the Lord V.s following the Lord, and how society is defining what's right and wrong and misleading us from what God finds righteous and not. This episode features a new guest and long time friend of Joshes, Steven Varrick Jones. We hope you enjoy the podcast and appreciate all of our listeners.Support the show
After many, many births, when the results of one's pious activities mature, one gets an opportunity to associate with pure devotees. Then one is able to cut the knot of bondage to ignorance, which bound him because of varied fruitive activities. As a result of associating with devotees, one gradually renders service to Lord Vāsudeva, who is transcendental, free from attachment to the material world, beyond the mind and words, and independent of everything else. That bhakti-yoga, devotional service to Lord Vāsudeva, is the real path of liberation.
We should always remember that the Ganges River comes from the Causal Ocean, beyond the covering of the universe. After the water of the Causal Ocean leaks through the hole created by Lord Vāmanadeva, it flows down to Dhruvaloka (the polestar) and then to the seven planets beneath Dhruvaloka. Then it is carried to the moon by innumerable celestial airplanes, and then it falls to the top of Mount Meru, which is known as Sumeru-parvata. In this way, the water of the Ganges finally reaches the lower planets and the peaks of the Himālayas, and from there it flows through Hardwar and throughout the plains of India, purifying the entire land.

How is fearing God for our termporal and eternal good? John and Chuck discuss this biblical idea in this week's episode of the Behold Your God Podcast.Weight of Majesty: bit.ly/BYGWeightofMajestyShow Notes: mediagratiae.org
We got a special one this episode. The Popcorn Playa herself Shenyah Sylver joins V for this episode. Extroverted V is slowly losing his grip, and Lord V is taking over day by day. To keep Lord V contained, V hit up Shenyah and asked her if she could be a guest on the show. She gracious enough to say yes, and the two talk about where they would go if they could time travel. The biggest lesson they've learned in life thus far, and what they believe their real-life superpowers are. I hope you all are in good health and staying safe. SWIRV!
V and Joe get the fantastic Chelsey Smith as a guest on today's episode. And the topic of the day concerns those "damn Millenials," millennial entitlement, and how freaking damn hard it is to find an affordable place to live today. Of course, Lord V pops in to let folks know how he feels, and that means someone will be offended. Bare with him; he is improving. Oh, shout out to Chris Asmar hanging around while we recorded.
And we're back. Forgive the absence, had a vacation than some technical difficulties. Now that those are ironed out V, Lord V and Demo Joe gots things to chat about. In this episode, they discuss the United States pulling out of the Iran Nuclear Deal and Kanye West, teaching the world about being a "free thinker."
As soon as one engages in the service of Lord Vāsudeva, he attains his normal constitutional position. This position is called the liberated stage. Muktir hitvānyathā-rūpaṁ svarūpeṇa vyavasthitiḥ: in the liberated stage, one is situated in his original Kṛṣṇa conscious position. He gives up all engagements in the service of matter, engagements concocted under the names of social service, national service, community service, dog service, automobile service and so many other services conducted under the illusion of “I” and “mine.”

Our strength will rise as we walk with God. We will soar like eagles. Because of our sure and certain hope in Jesus Christ we will run and not be tired. We will do more with God's help than we can possibly imagine.

Back to normal, where we record the day before an article. We finally know everything in the Baron Z and Lord V boxes, so we look at a few ways you might build them out. Articles are coming at a rapid pace, and we saw a bunch of new stuff for the Uthuk. Viper Legion dials, an equipment that comes with them, and a whole pile of stuff (well, a small portion of the huge pile) that comes with Th'Uk Tar and Gorgemaw. We review some of those cards, make wild guesses at some we can't see, and wander into some dubious speculation about Terrinoth lore. We're back from our week off, and lo and behold, there was a new article on recording day! There's a little bit of new stuff with the second Ventala article, so we talk about their new champion slot upgrade, Warden of Horn and Branch, the full reveal of Flank Fire, and about their possible place in the Latari. There's also new stuff on the horizon with Baron Z and Lord V releasing next week, so we take a look at how they might shake up the meta and help their factions be more competitive, especially Lord V. We also talk a little bit about a couple playtest games that Shane and Josh played, in which they discovered that Wraiths are weird and tanky Kethra is amazing. A class on Srimad Bhagavatam 1.15.50 given by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada on December 27, 1973 in Los Angeles, CA. Srimad Bhagavatam 1.15.50 draupadī ca tadājñāya patīnām anapekṣatām vāsudeve bhagavati hy ekānta-matir āpa tam Draupadī also saw that her husbands, without caring for her, were leaving home. She knew well about Lord Vāsudeva, Kṛṣṇa, the Personality of Godhead. Both she and Subhadrā became absorbed in thoughts of Kṛṣṇa and attained the same results as their husbands.
Today Alex and Molly discuss Chapter 18 Mooney, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs. We are all able to listen because we know who was under the invisibility cloak! Please bare with us through the Haikus and chapter renames. They waste no time in discussing this chapter, Lupin and Sirius kind of tell the whole story - but we are still waiting for the rest of the truth! We’ve been waiting… 12 years for it! A class on Srimad Bhagavatam 1.2.31 given by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada on November 10, 1972 in Vrindavan, India. A transcript of the class can be found here: https://goo.gl/VuWVLz. Srimad Bhagavatam 1.2.31 tayā vilasiteṣv eṣu guṇeṣu guṇavān iva antaḥ-praviṣṭa ābhāti vijñānena vijṛmbhitaḥ After creating the material substance, the Lord [Vāsudeva] expands Himself and enters into it. And although He is within the material modes of nature and appears to be one of the created beings, He is always fully enlightened in His transcendental position.

"Let The Sprit Loose" By Pastor Jason Adams Acts 2:1-21 New International Version (NIV) The Holy Spirit Comes at Pentecost 2 When the day of Pentecost(A) came, they were all together(B) in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.(C) 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit(D) and began to speak in other tongues[a](E) as the Spirit enabled them. 5 Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing(F) Jews from every nation under heaven. 6 When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. 7 Utterly amazed,(G) they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans?(H) 8 Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language? 9 Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia,(I) Pontus(J) and Asia,[b](K) 10 Phrygia(L) and Pamphylia,(M) Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene;(N) visitors from Rome 11 (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!” 12 Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?” 13 Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.”(O) Peter Addresses the Crowd 14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. 15 These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning!(P) 16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17 “‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.(Q) Your sons and daughters will prophesy,(R) your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. 18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.(S) 19 I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below,(T) blood and fire and billows of smoke. 20 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood(U) before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. 21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord(V) will be saved.’[c](W)
