In his first interview since leaving Nottingham Forest, Mark Clattenburg has spoken about the controversial time at the club and how he was disappointed with the treatment of the media about his appointment. Clattenburg was employed as a "Refereeing Consultant" to help advise club owner Marinakis on decision being made by the PGMOL during the season, but pundits such as Gary Neville were critical of the appointment, even going so far as to ask for his resignation. In some good news Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels has been called up to the Belgium team for the upcoming Euro's this summer, along with fellow Forest player Mangala. Sels has had an impressive first season for the Reds, after the team struggled to find a first choice options between the sticks. Brazilian midfielder Danilo has also carried out an interview where he highlights the ambition of the squad for next season, ‘I have another five years on my contract and I can help the club to develop more. Nottingham Forest is already a big club, with a proud history. Next season will be better. We will not be fighting to remain in the Premier League. We will be higher up the table.
