Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is the abandoned child of a now-defunct cinematic universe. Pushed multiple times and released far after James Gunn's announcement of his new DCU, the writing was on the wall, or in the sand, for the King of Atlantis' fate. And, yet, the studio still felt they needed to tinker with it to death. The fingerprints of studio meddling are all over Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The editing is slap dash, and their blatant desire to rid the film of Amber Heard's Mera is painfully obvious. Jason Mamoa, for all his charm, goes full Aquabro in an attempt to distract viewers from all the warts lining the film's oceanic underbelly. But, as we all know, one should never go full Aquabro. Despite his over the top schtick wearing thin far before the final credits roll, though, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is still a fairly decent time at the movies. The Orm/Arthur dynamic is fun throughout, the action beats mostly hit, and the return of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta is a welcome one. Sadly, audiences knew that this was the dead end of all dead ends; and, as a result, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom couldn't even muster half of its predecessor's $1.1 billion+ box office. Still, considering the current superhero cinema landscape, $434.4 million isn't too shabby. Now, sit back and refine that Orichalcum because it's a lovely day for a Guinness! Evan and Steven Strong are "white fellas" who have a relationship fostered over decades with the original peoples of Australia. Known popularly as "aboriginal". They have been through Ceremony and studied with elders. They are also authors, researchers, historians, and independent archeologists. They shared with the Garden some amalgam of the Aboriginal creation story through end of days. So much of this involves our old friends: the 7 Sisters and Orion the Hunter. So much of this involves aliens, Atlantis and Lemuria. And they have physical evidence. Skulls that are clearly not human. Arm bones that are clearly not of this gravity. Rock samples with metals not on the Periodic Table and with Orichalcum. Yes, the coin of Atlantis. They also have rings. And yes, there are rings of evil. But also rings of good. With Orichalcum and other known and unknown elements/metals. Some from Atlantis and others from Lemuria. But all, likely, from the stars originally. Oh, and the end of days is nearish, but not exactly what you might think. Campaign Conclusion. Now that they have discovered the nefarious reasons for the Orichalcum heist, Sabus (Druas Marine) and Tarkus Zull (Atlantean Alchemist) must stop their arch-nemesis from annihilating Atlantis with a global superflood. The two PCs, Sabus (Druas Marine) and Tarkus Zull (Atlantean Alchemist), meet up. Sabus responds to an advert by Tarkus' Alchemy Emporium, and both learn about a heist of the precious metal Orichcalcum, rumored to be orchestrated by the notorious slaver Dorian Thermarkson. The destination of this precious metal has been traced to the City of Atlantis itself, although its exact location is unknown. Of the prominent rumours floating about, the stolen Orichalcum might be located in the so-called Hidden Quarter, proximate to the canals at the Garden District of the city. "Tunnels", "caverns", "chambers", "sewers", "catacombs", "ruins", "Mestea" - these are words frequently spoken when these rumours are spoken amongst city inhabitants.Disturbingly, one name that keeps popping up is Dorian Thermarkson, the notorious slave trader, along with his gang of Nethermen assassins. If he is responsible for the Orichalcum heist, it could be that he has regressed even more from slave trading, to robbery and, perhaps, lotus dealing, given the connection between the drug trade and the precious metal.What can be confirmed is the statement made by a diplomat in his speech to the Royal Council. That is, the final destination of the stolen Orichalcum is very likely to be the seaport at Cyrago, on the Saharan Sea, on the continent of Gondwana. This seaport was constructed to serve as a stopover for both commercial and military vessels, and as a stockpile for remnant vril weapons. Recently, however, enemies of Atlantis have overtaken the port - an assault that occurred about 17 days ago, around the time of the Orichalcum heist.So the big unknown is who stole the Orichalcum, and for what purpose? Perhaps a cell of Gondwanian revolutionaries are planning to overthrow the Atlantean garrison now stationed on the outskirts of Cyrago? Do they want to wield the resonant qualities of this mysterious metal to enhance their elemental magic so as to drive out the Atlanteans? Maybe the Atheneans have unlocked the secret of creating their own special powers, and need the Orichcalcum to complete the process? Or is some madman is planning to hand it over to metalurgical masters as part of a larger scheme? For trans-dimensional travel? To incite a global cataclysm and end the Second Age?Geography of the Atlantis continent and surrounding region during the Second Age.
