Interview with Dan Barnholden, CEO of Luca Mining Corp. Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/luca-mining-tsxvluca-high-grade-drilling-results-boost-mexican-mining-operations-7559Recording date: 22nd October 2025Luca Mining (TSXV:LUCA) is pursuing an ambitious transformation strategy designed to triple its market capitalization from $300 million to over $1 billion by scaling production to 200,000 ounces of gold equivalent annually. The company operates two underground mines in Mexico-Campo Morado, a polymetallic VMS deposit in Guerrero, and Tahuehueto, an epithermal gold-silver mine in Durango—both previously starved of capital for a decade.CEO Dan Barnholden, bringing two decades of investment banking experience, has spent his first year stabilizing operations and strengthening the balance sheet. With only $6 million in debt remaining, two-thirds retiring by year-end 2025 and complete elimination by June 2026 and $25 million in cash reserves, the company is pivoting decisively toward growth. The most compelling element of Luca's strategy centers on transforming Campo Morado from a zinc-focused operation into a significant gold producer. Currently recovering only 20-30% of gold content, the company has engaged Ausenco to develop metallurgical processes targeting 50-70% recovery rates. "At Campo Morado, if we can double the gold grades, if we can better than double the gold recoveries, now you're talking about a real gold mine," Barnholden explained.Simultaneously, drilling at the Reforma zone has delivered exceptional results, with intercepts of 30+ meters grading over 12 grams per ton gold equivalent. Management believes this represents a potential 8 million ton high-grade gold pod that could position Campo Morado as an 80-100,000 ounce annual producer.Tahuehueto offers a more straightforward expansion pathway, with mill capacity increasing from 1,000 to 1,500 tons per day targeting 40-50,000 ounces annually. The company has also engaged three investment banks pursuing strategic acquisitions in Mexico's consolidating mining sector, where five competitors were acquired over the past year. With operating cash flow funding exploration without dilution and debt elimination providing maximum financial flexibility, Luca Mining presents investors with a clear roadmap from mid-tier producer to potential billion-dollar enterprise.View Luca Mining's company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/luca-mining-corpSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

During this series of informative podcasts, we'll bring you foundational training on the most popular Oracle technologies. Let's get started! 00:25 Lois: Hello and welcome to the Oracle University Podcast! I'm Lois Houston, Director of Innovation Programs with Oracle University, and with me is Nikita Abraham, Team Lead: Editorial Services. Nikita: Hi everyone! For the last two weeks, we've been talking about different aspects of cloud data centers. In this episode, Orlando Gentil, Principal OCI Instructor at Oracle University, joins us once again to discuss how virtualization, through hypervisors, virtual machines, and containers, has transformed data centers. 00:58 Lois: That's right, Niki. We'll begin with a quick look at the history of virtualization and why it became so widely adopted. Orlando, what can you tell us about that? Orlando: To truly grasp the power of virtualization, it's helpful to understand its journey from its humble beginnings with mainframes to its pivotal role in today's cloud computing landscape. It might surprise you, but virtualization isn't a new concept. Its roots go back to the 1960s with mainframes. In those early days, the primary goal was to isolate workloads on a single powerful mainframe, allowing different applications to run without interfering with each other. As we moved into the 1990s, the challenge shifted to underutilized physical servers. Organizations often had numerous dedicated servers, each running a single application, leading to significant waste of computing resources. This led to the emergence of virtualization as we know it today, primarily from the 1990s to the 2000s. The core idea here was to run multiple isolated operating systems on a single physical server. This innovation dramatically improved the resource utilization and laid the technical foundation for cloud computing, enabling the scalable and flexible environments we rely on today. 02:26 Nikita: Interesting. So, from an economic standpoint, what pushed traditional data centers to change and opened the door to virtualization? Orlando: In the past, running applications often meant running them on dedicated physical servers. This led to a few significant challenges. First, more hardware purchases. Every new application, every new project often required its own dedicated server. This meant constantly buying new physical hardware, which quickly escalated capital expenditure. Secondly, and hand-in-hand with more servers came higher power and cooling costs. Each physical server consumed power and generated heat, necessitating significant investment in electricity and cooling infrastructure. The more servers, the higher these operational expenses became. And finally, a major problem was unused capacity. Despite investing heavily in these physical servers, it was common for them to run well below their full capacity. Applications typically didn't need 100% of server's resources all the time. This meant we were wasting valuable compute power, memory, and storage, effectively wasting resources and diminishing the return of investment from those expensive hardware purchases. These economic pressures became a powerful incentive to find more efficient ways to utilize data center resources, setting the stage for technologies like virtualization. 04:05 Lois: I guess we can assume virtualization emerged as a financial game-changer. So, what kind of economic efficiencies did virtualization bring to the table? Orlando: From a CapEx or capital expenditure perspective, companies spent less on servers and data center expansion. From an OpEx or operational expenditure perspective, fewer machines meant lower electricity, cooling, and maintenance costs. It also sped up provisioning. Spinning a new VM took minutes, not days or weeks. That improved agility and reduced the operational workload on IT teams. It also created a more scalable, cost-efficient foundation which made virtualization not just a technical improvement, but a financial turning point for data centers. This economic efficiency is exactly what cloud providers like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure are built on, using virtualization to deliver scalable pay as you go infrastructure. 05:09 Nikita: Ok, Orlando. Let's get into the core components of virtualization. To start, what exactly is a hypervisor? Orlando: A hypervisor is a piece of software, firmware, or hardware that creates and runs virtual machines, also known as VMs. Its core function is to allow multiple virtual machines to run concurrently on a single physical host server. It acts as virtualization layer, abstracting the physical hardware resources like CPU, memory, and storage, and allocating them to each virtual machine as needed, ensuring they can operate independently and securely. 05:49 Lois: And are there types of hypervisors? Orlando: There are two primary types of hypervisors. The type 1 hypervisors, often called bare metal hypervisors, run directly on the host server's hardware. This means they interact directly with the physical resources offering high performance and security. Examples include VMware ESXi, Oracle VM Server, and KVM on Linux. They are commonly used in enterprise data centers and cloud environments. In contrast, type 2 hypervisors, also known as hosted hypervisors, run on top of an existing operating system like Windows or macOS. They act as an application within that operating system. Popular examples include VirtualBox, VMware Workstation, and Parallels. These are typically used for personal computing or development purposes, where you might run multiple operating systems on your laptop or desktop. 06:55 Nikita: We've spoken about the foundation provided by hypervisors. So, can we now talk about the virtual entities they manage: virtual machines? What exactly is a virtual machine and what are its fundamental characteristics? Orlando: A virtual machine is essentially a software-based virtual computer system that runs on a physical host computer. The magic happens with the hypervisor. The hypervisor's job is to create and manage these virtual environments, abstracting the physical hardware so that multiple VMs can share the same underlying resources without interfering with each other. Each VM operates like a completely independent computer with its own operating system and applications. 07:40 Lois: What are the benefits of this? Orlando: Each VM is isolated from the others. If one VM crashes or encounters an issue, it doesn't affect the other VMs running on the same physical host. This greatly enhances stability and security. A powerful feature is the ability to run different operating systems side-by-side on the very same physical host. You could have a Windows VM, a Linux VM, and even other specialized OS, all operating simultaneously. Consolidate workloads directly addresses the unused capacity problem. Instead of one application per physical server, you can now run multiple workloads, each in its own VM on a single powerful physical server. This dramatically improves hardware utilization, reducing the need of constant new hardware purchases and lowering power and cooling costs. And by consolidating workloads, virtualization makes it possible for cloud providers to dynamically create and manage vast pools of computing resources. This allows users to quickly provision and scale virtual servers on demand, tapping into these shared pools of CPU, memory, and storage as needed, rather than being tied to a single physical machine. 09:10 Oracle University's Race to Certification 2025 is your ticket to free training and certification in today's hottest technology. What's your take? Orlando: A container packages an application in all its dependencies, like libraries and other binaries, into a single, lightweight executable unit. Unlike a VM, a container shares the host operating system's kernel, running on top of the container runtime process. This architectural difference provides several key advantages. Containers are incredibly portable. They can be taken virtually anywhere, from a developer's laptop to a cloud environment, and run consistently, eliminating it works on my machine issues. Because containers share the host OS kernel, they don't need to bundle a full operating system themselves. This results in significantly smaller footprints and less administration overhead compared to VMs. They are faster to start. Without the need to boot a full operating system, containers can start up in seconds, or even milliseconds, providing rapid deployment and scaling capabilities. 11:12 Nikita: Ok. Throughout our conversation, you've spoken about the various advantages of virtualization but let's consolidate them now. Orlando: From a security standpoint, virtualization offers several crucial benefits. Each VM operates in its own isolated sandbox. This means if one VM experiences a security breach, the impact is generally contained to that single virtual machine, significantly limiting the spread of potential threats across your infrastructure. Containers also provide some isolation. Virtualization allows for rapid recovery. This is invaluable for disaster recovery or undoing changes after a security incident. You can implement separate firewalls, access rules, and network configuration for each VM. This granular control reduces the overall exposure and attack surface across your virtualized environments, making it harder for malicious actors to move laterally. Beyond security, virtualization also brings significant advantages in terms of operational and agility benefits for IT management. Virtualization dramatically improves operational efficiency and agility. Things are faster. With virtualization, you can provision new servers or containers in minutes rather than days or weeks. This speed allows for quicker deployment of applications and services. It becomes much simpler to deploy consistent environment using templates and preconfigured VM images or containers. This reduces errors and ensures uniformity across your infrastructure. It's more scalable. Virtualization makes your infrastructure far more scalable. You can reshape VMs and containers to meet changing demands, ensuring your resources align precisely with your needs. These operational benefits directly contribute to the power of cloud computing, especially when we consider virtualization's role in enabling cloud and scalability. Virtualization is the very backbone of modern cloud computing, fundamentally enabling its scalability. It allows multiple virtual machines to run on a single physical server, maximizing hardware utilization, which is essential for cloud providers. This capability is core of infrastructure as a service offerings, where users can provision virtualized compute resources on demand. Virtualization makes services globally scalable. Resources can be easily deployed and managed across different geographic regions to meet worldwide demand. Finally, it provides elasticity, meaning resources can be automatically scaled up or down in response to fluctuating workloads, ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency. 14:21 Lois: That's amazing. CZR is coming to life in a big way with around $74 million cash in the bank, some fantastic WA exploration assets and numerous drilling programmes being lined up between now and Christmas. Managing Director Stefen Murphy led the development and commissioning of the Roper Bar iron ore mine in the Northern Territory. His experience in developing integrated mine-to-port logistics solutions and iron ore marketing has been invaluable to CZR in developing the Robe Mesa iron ore project in the Pilbara. Mr Murphy commenced his career in the Pilbara as a mine geologist with BHP iron ore and has spent the past 20 years working on mining and exploration projects throughout Australia. In addition to his technical roles, he holds an MBA and has worked in corporate finance roles in Australia and the UK, focused primarily on capital markets and M&A transactions in the resources sector. Robe Mesa Iron Ore Sale Delivers $75 Million and Positions CZR as Cash-Backed CZR Resources has completed the sale of its Robe Mesa Iron Ore Project to the Robe River Joint Venture (Rio Tinto, Mitsui and Nippon Steel), delivering around $75 million in cash. The transaction leaves CZR debt-free and holding a cash balance roughly equivalent to its market capitalisation, effectively making it a cash-backed exploration company. With a strong balance sheet and no debt, CZR is now well positioned to fund aggressive exploration across its portfolio. 2. Croydon Gold Project: Drilling Targets Hemi-Style Intrusions Freshly funded, CZR has launched an aggressive drilling campaign at its Croydon Gold Project, located about 50 kilometres south-east of De Grey Mining's Hemi discovery in the Pilbara. Early aircore results have confirmed the presence of diorite intrusions, epithermal quartz veining and gossanous zones — all key indicators of intrusive-related gold systems similar to Hemi. With RC drilling planned through late 2025, the company is aiming to define both shallow epithermal gold mineralisation and deeper intrusion-hosted systems across the Top Camp and Bottom Camp prospects. 3. Edamurta Copper-Zinc Project Shows Golden Grove-Style VMS Potential CZR's Edamurta Project, located in the Midwest near Yalgoo, is showing strong signs of volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) potential similar to the Golden Grove and Deflector deposits. Recent geophysical surveys have identified strong electromagnetic conductors, consistent with copper-zinc-gold-silver mineralisation. A 3,000-metre RC drilling program is planned to test these high-priority conductor plates, offering multi-commodity upside and the potential to establish CZR as a serious copper-zinc explorer in Western Australia. 4. Strategic Backing from the Creasy Group CZR continues to benefit from the long-term support and geological expertise of the Creasy Group, led by renowned prospector Mark Creasy, who holds a 51% stake in CZR and a 30% joint venture interest at Croydon. The Croydon tenements were originally pegged by Creasy for their intrusive geological potential, and his ongoing involvement provides both strategic stability and proven exploration pedigree across CZR's project portfolio. 5. Fully Funded Growth and Retained Iron Ore Upside Following the Robe Mesa sale, CZR is fully funded to accelerate exploration across its gold and base-metal projects while maintaining exposure to iron ore through the Peters Creek and Darnell's prospects and its 50% interest in the Ashburton Link infrastructure joint venture. With a strong cash position, multiple high-potential assets, and upcoming drilling at both Croydon and Edamurta, CZR offers a rare combination of financial strength, discovery upside, and portfolio diversity — all while trading around its cash backing.

Interview with CEO Darren BowdenOur previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/metals-exploration-lsemtl-self-funded-nicaragua-gold-mine-targets-140k-oz-start-in-q4-2026-7323Recording date: 30th September 2025Metals Exploration presents a rare combination of near-term production growth and genuine exploration upside that makes it stand out in today's gold sector. With the Nicaragua project tracking ahead of schedule toward November 2026 first gold and the Philippines operation generating $110-120 million in annual cash flow, the company is executing a self-funded growth strategy that eliminates dilution risk while maintaining aggressive exploration programs. The Nicaragua build represents a transformational step-change for the company. All major equipment has been purchased, earthworks are complete, and the $160 million budget remains intact. More importantly, Nicaragua will produce 50% more ounces than the Philippines operation at roughly the same cost structure, bringing all-in sustaining costs down to $900-1000 per ounce. In an environment where many producers cite $1,400 as the new normal, this sub-$1,000 cost structure translates to 60%+ operating margins at current gold prices a genuine competitive advantage. What separates Metals Exploration from typical development stories is management's proven track record. Over six years, the Philippines operation has maintained just 2% annual cost growth versus industry averages of 10-15%. This isn't theoretical cost control it's demonstrated operational excellence that provides confidence in Nicaragua's projected economics.Beyond production growth, the exploration portfolio offers asymmetric upside. Dupax drilling begins immediately, targeting VMS mineralization that could feed existing permitted infrastructure. But the real company-maker potential lies at Abra, where copper-molybdenum and copper-gold porphyry targets sit in the Cordillera belt home to the Philippines' largest copper-gold deposits including the 40-million-ounce Far Southeast system. CEO Darren Bowden characterizes Nicaragua and Dupax as "forerunners to give us the cash" to develop Abra, the company's "white whale."For investors seeking operational excellence combined with tier-one discovery potential, Metals Exploration offers a compelling risk-reward profile. The strategy is elegant: proven cash flow funds patient exploration capital toward potentially transformational discoveries, all without equity dilution. That's increasingly rare in today's gold sector.Learn more: https://cruxinvestor.comSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

“The real alternative is a trusted home, a trusted partner, not just a replacement,” says Roman Semionov, Sales Director at CaaB. “VMware's model shifts have shattered trust, and MSPs are looking for stability.” In a new Technology Reseller News podcast, Publisher Doug Green speaks with Semionov about why CaaB is positioning itself as a partner-first cloud infrastructure provider at a time of massive turbulence in the virtualization market. With Broadcom's acquisition of VMware leading to sharp cost hikes, licensing complexity, and a shrinking partner ecosystem, many MSPs are scrambling for alternatives. Semionov argues that this upheaval presents an opportunity: MSPs can now re-examine how they deliver cloud services and align with providers that prioritize transparency and predictability. CaaB offers infrastructure-as-a-service with industry-leading margins, white-label branding, and global reach. The platform emphasizes price visibility—partners know their monthly costs before deployment—plus free migrations, 24/7 live support, and regular hardware upgrades without hidden tiers. Semionov shares the story of a New Jersey-based MSP that faced a 600% cost increase under VMware. After migrating to CaaB, the company saved roughly $200,000 annually, allowing them to expand sales staff instead of cutting headcount. Looking ahead, Semionov predicts a shift toward hybrid strategies, reduced vendor lock-in, and growing ecosystems around alternative providers. “VMs are still around, but their dominance is broken,” he notes. “MSPs need a stable, predictable, partner-first option—and that's where CaaB comes in.” To learn more, visit https://caab.cloud

Ennis Municipal District admits works it carried out last year to address a speeding problem in a Clare village have resulted in "little improvement" in the problem. Fine Gael Councillor Paul Murphy has called for the introduction of traffic calming measures, the repair of VMS speed reading signs and a great Garda presence in Doora amid "persistent reports" of speeding in the area. Ennis MD says it installed line marking and rumble trips as well as a new footpath on the L4114 in the village last year but claims speed surveys taken before and after the works don't show a notable difference. Councillor Murphy says the village is used as a "rat run" from Ennis to East Clare.
In this ethical lab demo, David Bombal and Kyle Winters connect Claude (LLM) to Metasploit through an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server to automate real attacks. Watch AI perform recon, generate a risk report, and execute VSFTPD backdoor, EternalBlue (SMBv1), and UnrealIRCD—dropping benign files on Linux and Windows with simple prompts. Educational use only on intentionally vulnerable VMs. Do not attack systems you don't own or lack permission to test. What you'll see • How MCP bridges an AI to real tools (Metasploit RPC) • AI-driven scanning + auto security report (services, versions, risks) • Prompted exploits: VSFTPD, EternalBlue, UnrealIRCD • Why this lowers barriers for red teams—and what blue teams should do // Sponsored SEGMENT // Big thanks to Cisco for sponsoring this video. // Kyle Winters SOCIAL // LinkedIn: / kyle-m-winters Cisco Blogs: https://blogs.cisco.com/author/kylewi... // Websites REFERENCE // MetasploitMCP by GH05TCREW: https://github.com/GH05TCREW/Metasplo... At VMware Explore in Las Vegas, the buzz wasn't just about generative AI, but about where and how it should run. My guest is Tasha Drew, Director of Engineering for the AI team in the VMware Cloud Foundation division at Broadcom, who has been at the center of this conversation. Fresh off the main stage, where she helped debut VMware's new Private AI Services and Intelligent Assist for VMware Cloud Foundation, Tasha joins me to unpack what these announcements mean for enterprises grappling with privacy, cost, and integration challenges. Tasha explains why private AI is resonating so strongly in 2025, outlining the three pillars that define it: protecting sensitive intellectual property, managing regulated or high-value data, and ensuring role-based control of fine-tuned models. She shares how organizations often start their AI journey in the public cloud, but as experimentation turns to production, cost pressures, data compliance, and proximity to data drive them toward private AI. We also dive into VMware's own evolution toward building an AI-native private cloud platform. Tasha highlights the journey from deep learning VMs and Jupyter notebooks to full AI platform services that empower IT teams to deliver models efficiently, save money, and accelerate deployment of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) applications. She introduces Intelligent Assist for VMware Cloud Foundation, an AI-powered guide that helps teams navigate complex deployments with context-aware support and step-by-step instructions. Beyond the technology, Tasha reflects on the broader ecosystem shifts, from partnerships with NVIDIA and AMD to the role of Model Context Protocol (MCP) in breaking down integration barriers between enterprise systems. She believes MCP represents a turning point, enabling seamless workflows between platforms that historically lacked incentive to work together. This conversation captures a pivotal moment where private AI is moving from theory into enterprise adoption. For leaders weighing their next move, Tasha provides both the strategic framing and the technical insight to understand why private AI has become one of the most talked-about forces shaping enterprise IT today.
I bet Nestle wishes it could go back and experience that “Great Shutdown” fueled demand spike again (because it went by too fast), but allowing some VMS brands to leave the nest could be its next step towards finding new growth! Within the prepared remarks section, Nestle leadership noted during the first-half 2025 earnings call that it had launched a review of its underperforming vitamins, minerals, supplements (VMS) portfolio…and that it could lead to the divestment of some brands. But wait…wasn't it just four short years ago when Nestle completed the $5.75 billion acquisition of The Bountiful Company? Yep! Nevertheless, I'll replay a contextually relevant portion of my conversation with Teddie Townsend (Managing Director - CG Sawaya Partners) from last year that will help you better understand what's really going on inside Nestle (and the entire supplement industry M&A strategic acquirer landscape). But when we recorded that conversational content, it wasn't publicly known yet that Nestle would be making a leadership change…with the new CEO (i,e. Laurent Freixe) taking over in September 2024. And it meant a shift in companywide strategy naturally happened…accompanied by a clear action plan to drive performance and transformation. Additionally, the Nestle Virtuous Circle strategic framework included an element about addressing underperformers to support growth…and specifically sharpening focus within Nestle Health Science. With a diverse portfolio of brands across VMS, Active Nutrition, and Medical Nutrition…Nestle Health Science has built a leading position, and the segment generates slightly less than $8.5 billion in revenue annually. And while Nestle still believes VMS is an attractive category with clear growth drivers…new leadership is focused on the premium end of the market, which is deemed to have the highest potential. So, going forward…Nestle Health Science will focus on its global premium VMS brands such as Garden of Life, Solgar, and Pure Encapsulations, as Nestle believes its capabilities in science, innovation, and brand-building give it a distinct competitive edge. Alternatively, Nestle launched a strategic review of its mainstream and value VMS brands, including (but not limited to) Nature's Bounty, Osteo-Bi Flex, Puritan's Pride, and private label. And though this likely divestment activity is consistent with the “focus and simplification” strategic growth approach of Nestle's new leadership…it basically dismantles a substantial portion of The Bountiful Company acquisition, which arguably was considered one of the predecessor's (i.e. Mark Schneider) most substantial moves throughout his 7-year pursuit of transforming the company into a health and nutrition powerhouse. But then…for the final portion of my latest first principles content piece, I'll explore two different “what's next” scenarios; who likely acquires these Nestle Health Science VMS brands under review and where I believe Nestle Health Science will strategically focus after the proverbial divestment dust settles.

"If you're currently using free Ubuntu, you're getting supported Ubuntu Pro as part of your VCF license — which is amazing." – Thibaut Rouffineau, Canonical At VMware Explore 2025, Doug Green, Publisher of Technology Reseller News, spoke with Thibaut Rouffineau, Vice President of Marketing at Canonical, about how Canonical is elevating Ubuntu into the heart of enterprise private cloud. Canonical, the publisher of Ubuntu and a leader in securing open-source for enterprises, featured prominently in VMware's major announcements. The news: Ubuntu Pro is now bundled with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) licenses, instantly providing enterprise customers with long-term support, compliance, and hardened security — at no extra cost. Rouffineau explained that this recognition of Ubuntu as a first-class enterprise Linux within VCF is about much more than operating systems. Enterprises can now confidently run workloads across VMs, manage Kubernetes clusters with less disruptive upgrades, and accelerate container adoption on a secure and scalable foundation. Since the announcements, VMware Explore attendees have been eager to understand how these changes impact their modernization journey. Canonical's answer: what was once free Ubuntu now comes with enterprise-grade support, helping organizations move faster while reducing risk. For more information, visit Canonical.com.

Interview with Gordon Robb, CEO of ESGold Corp.Recording date: 30th July 2025ESGold Corporation has positioned itself as a unique investment opportunity in the precious metals sector, combining environmental remediation with near-term production potential. The company is focused on reprocessing toxic tailings from the historic Montauban mine, located 80 kilometers west of Quebec City, transforming environmental liabilities into economic value.Under new leadership from CEO Gordon Robb, who joined in July 2025 with a background in fixed income trading and resource sector experience at Scottie Resources, ESGold has identified a compelling low-risk development opportunity. The company has quantified approximately 12,000 ounces of gold, one million ounces of silver, and significant mica deposits across six tailings piles representing over a century of mining activity dating back to 1912.The operational strategy emphasizes measured scaling, beginning with a 500 tons per day pilot plant before expanding to the fully permitted 1,000 tons per day capacity. With existing infrastructure including a steel building and established permits, the capital requirements remain modest at just $6 million in capital expenditures and $2-3 million in operating expenses. This low-capex model offers a rapid payback period of less than one year according to previous assessments.Beyond immediate tailings processing, ESGold sits on what management describes as a "wildly underexplored" VMS deposit extending to 1,200 meters depth. The company plans to self-fund future exploration through cash flow generated from tailings operations, eliminating typical dilutive financing challenges facing junior exploration companies."The market seems to have an appetite for cash flow. We have never seen metals prices as high as they are," Robb explained, highlighting the company's strategy to capitalize on current market conditions while addressing genuine environmental concerns in the local community.ESGold's approach offers investors exposure to precious metals production with reduced development risk, environmental benefits, and significant exploration upside in an underexplored mining district.View ESGold's company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/secova-metals-corpSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

Interview with Dan Barnholden, CEO of Luca Mining Corp. Our Previous Interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/luca-mining-tsxvluca-growing-significant-value-in-mexico-in-the-new-gold-bull-market-6317Recording date: 25th July 2025Luca Mining has emerged as a compelling turnaround story in the precious metals sector, transforming from financial distress to robust cash generation under CEO Dan Barnholden's leadership. The company operates two mines in Mexico: the Tahuehueto gold-silver mine in northwest Durango and the Campo Marado polymetallic VMS deposit in Guerrero State. The financial transformation has been remarkable. "When I joined we had a million in the bank and we had $18.2 million in debt. Today we sit with almost $25 million cash in the bank and $7.7 million in debt," Barnholden explained, representing a $40 million balance sheet improvement. The company generated $11.7 million in free cash flow during Q1 2025, positioning it to achieve annual forecasts of $30-40 million.Recent exploration success at Campo Marado has validated the company's strategic pivot toward high-grade gold zones. Surface drilling at the La Reforma zone intercepted 15.12 meters of 5.5 grams per ton gold, 150 grams per ton silver, and 8.5% zinc—significantly higher grades than current mining areas. This represents the first surface drilling into La Reforma since 2010, unlocking 15 years of untested potential.Operational improvements have been equally impressive. Campo Marado's mill capacity utilization increased from 60% to near-optimal levels at 2,100 tons per day, while Tahuehueto achieved commercial production in Q1 2025, producing 30,000-35,000 ounces of gold annually. The company's share price has tripled over 12 months, reflecting successful execution and favorable precious metals market conditions. Management is working on mill upgrades to double gold recovery from the current 25-30%, while exploring tailings reprocessing opportunities containing an estimated billion dollars worth of gold. With institutional ownership at just 6%, Luca Mining targets growth to 20% near-term, capitalizing on renewed investor appetite for precious metals exposure during what Barnholden describes as "a bull market for precious metals companies."Learn more: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/luca-mining-corpSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

Tell us more…meanwhile, the Goldens are out stealing some limelight, and April tell us your skincare regimen! We need to know. IRL, your hosts debate the questionable practice of Jeep owners and their ‘duck' infatuation, how to save the movie industry, laughing gas at the dentist and why mountain climbing is a deathwish. Nothing but the pure life for Wells this week. Sun tans, surprise birthday decorations, spanish TV, and wait…back pain? Dammit. Side effect of turning 41 we guess. But hey, no complaints when you're in paradise, right? Meanwhile, Brandi just wrapped up at Sand In My Boots Festival where by all accounts her sets were straight litty kitty, and now she's got The Sphere in her sights as she preps for 5 weeks in Vegas w/ country music guy Kenny Chesney! Your hosts then debate the merits of street vs book smarts, wonder if you can watch a TV show AND read the book at the same time, and dive deep into an Aladdin revision theory that actually kinda makes sense…speaking of The Sphere, have you been? And have you ‘enhanced' your experience with anything? We wanna know! Hit us up in the VMs with your thoughts. Till next week…ok byeeee. Favorite Things this week: The Eternaut (en Español!)
