Even though none of the guys had been to Olive Garden in forever, they still spent a lot of time talking about all the times they used to eat there. They also discussed how the restaurant removed Wanye's favourite seafood portofino dish. The hundreds of people that head to Plaster Rock annually to put their sticks on the ice will have to hold off until next year. Unseasonably warm weather means the decades old tournament is experiencing its first cancellation, apart from during COVID. Heather Braun has been competing in the championships for ten years, and her father co-founded the event.

Thin ice forced organizers of the World Pond Hockey championship in Plaster Rock to cancel this year's tournament. Jeanne Armstrong spoke to Danny Braun, one of the organizers of the event.

The first-ever Berkshire Pond Hockey Classic will be held on Saturday, January 28 at Lake Buel, right near the lake's boat ramp. The 16 team field is made up of mostly local teams, including a past NCAA D1 Frozen Four Women's Team. The GB Bagel Co is sponsoring Bagels for Breakfast for all of the participants and their owner Bob is bringing 2 teams and Gary and Andrew the owners of Barrington Brewery will be hosting an awards ceremony after the tournament and coming as partners, bringing 2 teams. The presenting sponsor is The Pass as well as Berkshire Bank from their Foundation and ExtraSpecialTeas, which is an non-profit who is generously sponsoring free tea during the day of the tournament for skaters. Any of the profits made after the cost of the tournament will go back to the town of Monterey. “I'm just trying to find a way to give back to The Berkshires and honor my father,” Regen said. “How cool is that?” For more information about the tournament go to its website.

On today's show, the guys recapped the Evander Kane interview, the Jasper pond hockey tournament, and more.Kicking off the second episode of Real Life of the day, the guys walked through the Evander Kane interview that just happened at Nation HQ, and how it was a very fun experience given that he has such a high profile in this city. From start to finish, the guys thought Kane was incredibly personable and open with his answers even though the boys went off script more than a few times. From there, the podcast completely fell off the rails as Chalmers and Baggedmilk vented about dog parks and why you shouldn't bring your dog to them. From there, the guys looked ahead at the Jasper Pond Hockey tournament that's happening at the Jasper Park Lodge at the end of January, and why this is a tourney you should absolutely be a part of if you're able.
