This was the first speech I gave in front of my Grandpa, James A. Mather (26 Feb 1923 -- 14 May 2025). He was 97 years young at this speech going to the gym 3 x a week right up to the lockdowns. And this speech was the Friday before the lockdowns in 2020 (13 March 2020) for The Conejo Valley Republican Women Federated at Los Robles Greens 299 S Moorpark Rd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91361. Grandpa Mather gave the Pledge of Allegiance and prayer to start us off, and I talked about Republicans and Civil Rights, focusing on The Second Amendment. This was originally broadcast on FB LIVE 13 March 2020 for a non-profit, public audience, for educational purposes only. Used by permission. I want to thank the women of Conejo Valley Republican Women Federated for permission to use this material and for having me speak to them that day. I want especially to thank Stephanie Ferguson for hosting me and for her friendship and support all these years ! There were very special people there, including Linda Lopez Mather (Grandpa's wife since 1995), and also people I'd met for the first time including Jackie Tucker, Tamara Howard, Kerry Nelson, Jennifer McCarthy, and Angela Nardone. It's one of the best recent memories I have with Grandpa Mather, who passed into eternity today at the age of 102 years young. Grandpa Mather was on the Podcast 21 Nov 2024, so you can check that video/audio out at your leisure. That episode features a phone call he made to me on 7 May 2020. I captured it on FB LIVE at the time. The Republican Professor is a pro-Grandpa-Mather, pro-Constitutional-education, pro-Conejo-Valley-Republican-Women-Federated podcast. The Republican Professor is produced and hosted by Dr. Lucas J. Mather, Ph.D.

In this week's episode of Political Contessa, Jennifer examines the significant yet often overlooked role of women in the Republican Party's history. Bringing her expertise and passion to the forefront, Jennifer explores women's impactful contributions to the GOP from its inception to the present day. Jennifer sheds light on the long-standing involvement of women in the GOP, challenging the narrative that the Democratic Party is the sole champion of women's issues. She highlights key milestones, from women attending the first Republican meeting in 1854, the introduction of the 19th amendment, and the endorsement of an Equal Rights Amendment in 1940. This episode delves into the accomplishments of notable women in the party's history and emphasizes the importance of acknowledging and supporting women in politics. Jennifer calls on women to be proud of their political engagement and urges them to continue breaking barriers and making history within the GOP. "Yep, I said it. I said it right here. 1940, the Republican Party, first major political party to endorse an equal rights amendment for women in its platform." - Jennifer Nassour This week on Political Contessa: Women's historical involvement in the Republican Party The GOP's foundation with women's participation A Republican senator introduced 19th Amendment The GOP's 1940 endorsement of the Equal Rights Amendment Women serving as officials and appointees in the GOP Republican women's milestones in elected offices Encouragement for GOP women to financially support political causes Importance of women recognizing and embracing their political power Awaken Your Inner Political Contessa Thanks for tuning into this week’s episode of Political Contessa. Tune in here to this Wednesday edition of the Brett Winterble Show with Breaking Brett Jensen filling in! Brett kicks off the program by talking about an event he participated in early this morning where he and Garrison spoke at a Republican Women's event, discussing "make American media honest again." This is a crucial topic in today's world with so many media personalities pushing their personal agenda and toeing the democrat line, with no concern for the truth. For example, Margaret Brennan from CBS who, with a straight face, blamed the Holocaust on free speech. We have reached a point where nearly no one, left or right, trusts the media. We must resurrect our fallen media in order to ensure an informed populist that can cast their ballots with all the facts in front of them. In the wise words of our former President Thomas Jefferson, "were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter." Bo Thompson from Good Morning BT is also here for this Wednesday's episode of Crossing the Streams. Brett and Bo talk about the "blizzard" we have been forced to endure today and their favorite snow memories from childhood. Bo also shares what he and Beth have coming up tomorrow on Good Morning BT! GREG LOPEZ AT 2:30 TODAY And though I am generally a Greg fan I was not happy he backed out of the Republican Women of Weld's debates Saturday over a fit of pique about an endorsement. At Saturday's Republican Women of Weld Rumble, which Lauren Boebert couldn't be bothered to attend, Deborah caught all the sharp questions from her opponents. She handled the questions well but it was clear she was viewed as the frontrunner there by her opponents. She won the straw poll at the event. She joins me at 1 to talk about why she deserves your vote. Find out more and give her money if you're so inclined by clicking here.
A sense of moral panic had gripped the country that everyone in the room at the Republican Women's Club could feel. The audience fell silent as the senator walked to his podium and organized his notes. He had been in the upper house for only three years, and few outside his home state of Wisconsin knew of his service as a tail gunner on bombers in the Second World War. His fingers brushed across his main prop, a long list of names, while he took a breath and raised his hands for silence. As he prepared to deliver what became a career-defining address, Joseph McCarthy could not have known that his name would soon be among the most reviled in modern American history. Join us as we teach you about Joseph McCarthy, McCarthyism, and the threat of cultural evils. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/15minutehistory/support
