Despite some impressive performances, injuries hampered his development and eventually a move to Brentford resurrected his career.A bit of a cult figure at Griffin Park, Dickson was destined for bigger things. Fulham and Southampton came calling and it was the pull of the south coast that tempted him. Training with the likes of Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, he pushed on again. Then, at the end of the 2010/11 season, he helped relegate Argyle at Home Park. This is the story of Ryan Dickson.

Kelly Cates is joined by Rickie Lambert and Steve McMahon to look back on West Brom's two-goal comeback against Liverpool at the Hawthorns.
Football is just a game, right? There are more important things in life, right? Try telling that to Southampton fans who are currently sat on a weekly emotional rollercoaster (mainly heading in a downward direction!), watching Premier League survival slowly slip away. Saints again found an incredible ability to grasp defeat from the jaws of victory, as they threw away a 2-goal lead against Chelsea this past weekend. Its hard to see them remaining in England’s top division now, but while there’s life there’s hope (right?!!). Ben Stanfield (Host of TSP) is joined by regular guest Adam Leitch (Chief Sports Writer, Southern Daily Echo) to review a number of talking points, including that red and white self-implosion in the Premier League fixture, as well as the upcoming FA Cup Semi-Final, also against the Blues. Alongside that the guys discuss Matty Targett’s comments whilst on loan at Fulham, briefly preview Leicester City away in the League later this week, before ending on a high with Adam talking poignantly about Rickie Lambert (footballer and man), who deservedly won the 2018 EFL’s Sir Tom Finney Award. Finally, TSP33 also sees Chelsea fan Garry Hayes, a member of The Chels Podcast panel and Producer of independent documentary The Blue Print, give his views and expectations ahead of that clash at Wembley. Back for a final podcast of 2014, the Three Bad Wools are one wool short. James and Simon were minus Matt, but joined by Lee Mahady from the LFC Daytrippers to discuss recent matches, player performance, rant about Dejan Lovren and ask questions about whether Brendan Rodgers is the right man. None of them would shut up, so it's a bumper length show. Call is a festive gift for your ears.
For the first time since April, the situation at Liverpool has seen enough pessimism thrown around to warrant a return of the Three Bad Wools as James, Matt and Simon throw their collective thoughts into the proverbial melting pot. They discuss the summer transfers - and Mario Balotelli in particular - as well as how the season has gone so far and how the rest of it might shape up. Plus, there's little love for either Simon Mignolet or Rickie Lambert and Roy Hodgson makes a brief guest appearance.
